octville Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 JM used to be criticised for winning 1-0. Now, it seems that week in, week out, it is Manure, Scouser and Gunners 1-0 ! Heck, i don't care about the result as long as it is winning. We may lack form and luck at the moment. If i am given 1-0 tonight at Valencia, i will take it anytime. With the qualities of players that Chelsea have, we ought to start winning games. Unfortunately, our Achilles' heel is Avram Grant. Totally inexperienced at the highest level, lack of ambition and ever so solemn-looking at matches like he is in a funeral parlour or at the cemetery. He is the last that will inspire any players. Chelsea is not Maccabi Haifa or Hapoel Tel-Aviv, so please stop playing with our fortune, Mr Roman. Since the FA is so laxed on people not having proper qualification, why not have Zola as our new manager? I do not think that our legend will do worse than Mr Grant. Give me JM anytime ! But if there is really no Van Basten, Hiddink or Rijkaard, just give me Gianfranco Zola
clubhappy Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Zola is far too nice a human being to want to work for R.A. One is a god , the other thinks he's god.
just Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 Spot the difference. Manure last night. Another scrappy 1-0 win. They've only scored more than one goal once this season, against us. They really rode their luck as they have done for all of the games I have seen them this campaign. No free-flowing, attacking football. No fans complaining. No Chairman or owner demanding more entertaining football. No sign of the manager being sacked.

It should've been 1-1. They were really hanging on. What gets me is the Sky commentary. Tevez blasted a chance two yards wide (about all he did do in an attacking sense) and it was, "Oh yes! This is what he's all about, the sheer power etc etc". Sheva does exactly the same and he's a has-been. The same with Rooney. Okay, he took his chance well by hitting the shot early but anybody would think he's done a George Weah, run the length of the pitch and buried it, such was the gushing praise. He hits a lame shot along the ground from 18 yards and it was, "Ooh! He's getting in the mood, coming more into the game now." The guy is hugely overrated.
Tim W Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 The Glaziers, perhaps in their wisdom realise that it is far more important to have Red Nose/Gill seemingly at the helm, whether true or not, than a butch of bowing lackeys.

octville Posted October 3, 2007 Author Posted October 3, 2007 The only moaning is when Chelsea wins 1-0 under JM. And it is beause they are all Manure/Scouser fans. It is Chelsea vs the Rest of the League ( Including all condemned referees)
Guest Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I LOVE Zola. He was true legend of Chelsea, if not THE legend of Chelsea. But I would never take the guy in as our manager. I just don't think he has the personality for it. His such a gentleman and a softly spoken guy that I don't beleive he has what it takes to be a manager at the top level.
loz Posted October 3, 2007 Posted October 3, 2007 I don't think anyone anywhere has suggested he come in as the manager - more as an assistant manager or a coach under someone like Lippi/Capello/Hiddink/Steve mcLaren

Eriksson and Ranieri are two names that spring to mind who are very softly spoken, Ranieri at least was a true gentleman, Eriksson was when he wasn't off shaggin one of his b*tches U don't have to be a complete nutter to be a manager, u just need to be for referees to not make sh*t calls against you every game

Just look at Inter they lost in their first game against fenerbache in CL and nobody said nothing about sacking Mancini. People are talking about us not going past 1st round, we didnt even lose our game it was a draw, im pretty confident we will go past 1st round hopefully go alot further.

We did it and in the 3rd year it went a bit pear shaped with the arrival of MB and AS Arsenal and Manu are the most sucessful clubs in the premiership, their managers are the longest serving - coincidence?
