If this carries on much longer we will have to flog him to Real Madrid as well!

Loz, Even if he had two broken legs, a fractured skull a ruptured spleen and no arms he'd probably still say to Avram/Mc Claren, "Don't worry Gaffer, I'll run it off in 20 minutes !!!!

He needs a rest and a manager whos going to give him one (a rest that is).

He is skipper of both Chelsea and England and someone needs to tell him to recover before he can play again. He hasn't been playing well lately due to the 3 or 4 injuries he's carrying.

He needs a strong manager to to tell him to sit one out, rather than w weak manager who begs him to play because thier life depends on it.

He has a quality attitude but he's too brave for his own good sometimes

JT certainly needs a rest, it cost us last season when he was out but to be honest I think this season we have better cover,

I would feel comfortable with Ricky and Alex at CB and think Alex will be a good player for us with a run in the team, even Ben Haim is fair back up I just think we have seen what he has but Alex may have more to come.

JT has not been himself lately due to the injuries although still been good, I would rather he rested and was fit for our CL matches as I think we could do well in the competition.

What we cant replace is his leadership though and we need to rely on Lampard to be maybe a louder type captain in his absence, also DD to rally the team and fans like we know he can.

I selfishly hope JT misses both England games and gets fully fit before coming back even for us.

Apparently, McClare was almost certain to leave JT out on Saturday as he is one yellow card away from a 1 match ban. If fit he is likely to play against Russia.

I am a Chelsea fan so would be quite happy for him to miss both games if it gives him a break from action.

Then, Boro away we definitely could win without him, he will then have had more than 2 weeks rest, is this enough ?

I really, really wish JT would just sit out the next two games. I mean come, is England really going to win Euro 2008. He should focus on sitting on, resting for two weeks, then comming back to the club and he'll be as good as new. Last season, yes it did hurt to not have JT, but i think cech was the main reason, but that's off topic.

Just sit out both games for Terry is my verdict.

Sounds like fairly normal Daily Mail headline grabbing nonsense - everywhere elses is reporting that it isn't supposed to be that serious and that he may well feature against Russia midweek.

I agree, despite his heroic displays it is clear he cannot play totally freely with his injury and surely it will only get worse?

He needs a manager strong enough to tell him to rest and I am not sure Grant is that manager.

May be Ten Cate will do something?

JT needs a rest

Alex needs a run

Expectations of the team are the lowest they have been since Abramovich arrived at Chelsea (people seem to only need champions league qualification to be satisfied)

Sounds like good logic
