They seem to have misquoted Terry there. What he said was:

Surely this is a misquote, or a windup!? I fail to believe that JT would genuinely say this, it's almost as laughable as if Petr Cech said that Reina is the best goalkeeper in the world, or Drogba saying that Torres is the best striker in the world - Carra's pretty good, but he's not even in the top three in the prem imo, let alone the best in the world.

Even if he was the best in the world, I don't see why JT would come out and say it now.

If I weight it all up , i genuinely find it hard to praise any Liverpool player , it goes back years with me .
