If Frank were house hunting in Spain I'm sure he'd more discrete about it, even if it as innocent as a holiday home/home near Elen's family, purely because of these sort of stories appearing.

However, this story originates from The Mirror... So you see Lampard in Barcelona, do you really call that rag to tell them? If I saw Lampard house hunting I'd go up to him and tell him to sod back off to Surrey icon_wink.gif

Whats he supposed to do?, walk around in a ski-mask?.

We don't even know for sure Lumpy was in Spain looking at a house, but assuming he was, he is perfectly entitled to do so.

Gem, I want you you sit down for a moment and stay calm. What I am going to say will hurt.

I've been thinking about it alot myself. In fact for over 6 months now and I don't like the thought. But you must remember life goes on. It's not the end of the world.

Personally, I don't think he's going to sign that contract. I think he's going. I think he made his mind up a long while ago. If that happens I'll be gutted he wasn't up front with us and openly declared his intentions earlier, but I'll also understand the reasons why. The only way I see him staying is if Barca implode before the end of the season, players leave, and they become a spent force. Unfortunately, I don't forsee that happening.

If he leaves he goes with my best wishes and massive thanks for all he has done for us.

Stay calm? STAY CALM?!......... 247.gif

It wouldn't surprise me if he is off, but as you say, he's dragged on this contract situation, so he can avoid to opening admit he's leaving........ so why would he go and waltz around Barcelona house hunting? After all that effort to hide it? I don't think he would is all. Then again, I don't know him personally so...... you never know.

I can't help but feel now might be the right time to let Frank go! He's one of my favourite players and has impressed me the way he's stepped his game up every year since he arrived at the Bridge, but sometimes old favourites have to move on before they start to get in the way of the team developing.

But you are on a first name basis with Elen, aren't you? Ask her and end this uncertainty.

The Mail links Lamps with Barca today (Sunday), with a classic sentence which has to be posted before they correct it:

Frank Lampard will return for Chelsea this afternoon in their vital Premier League showdown against Liverpool with his long-term future at Stamford Bridge in fresh doubt.

Leading European clubs are considering exploiting a new FIFA ruling which means the England midfielder can quit Chelsea for just £5 million this summer. And Lampard would be willing to invoke it if his employers do not come up with Chelsea at the moment.

Rest of the drivel here:
