Top effort from my second team...got pi**ed off with itv's commentary though, talking about rangers anti-football and you have to make the best of what you've got and it came across in a real derogatory and patronising way...it was a professional european performance and they said it themselves, only united and a lowly second div team in meaningless early round of portuguese league cup had won there all season...smith has done an incredible job since going back there and the quad is still on...remarkable

the commentator had a go at the folk who were calling our football "anti-football" eg Lionel Messi & someone from Celtic. he did say, "this isn't anti-football, this is intelligent football"

Hell of a good point! That would be a grand, if a tad pricey, trip.

Whilst we have a few Gers fans around any of you know if Rangers agreed a price with Fulham for Davis should they decide to make the deal permanent. If they haven't then I fear his performances will be raising his fee beyond what Rangers will be prepared to pay. He has been superb since moving on loan.

but rumour has it in the papers up here rangers have made 22.5M in europe this season and theres another 5M to be made depending on how far we get, surely some of that could be used to outbid rovers for davis because it would be well worth it and hopefully champions league footie would help make the decision for him to stay as well.

I live in Scotland as well and have heard tales of Rangers making that kind of cash out of the European run but find the figures a bit inflated. They will have made some money out of the CL games but the money in the UEFA Cup is nothing like that kind of level.

I do hope Rangers can tie Davis down but as you say their only real hope is probably the lure of the CL.
