Mod
Johnny Vegas - what a c**t! Just seen this posted on another forum, and it got me thinking, why is someone like this even in that business? Link contains some adult wording http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/theatre/200 ... vegas.html Always thought the Monkey was the main act!

Mr Chelsea
like i said he's good in benidorm i cant judge him on anything else, as i havent seen him, apart from tea bags his behaviour in the article is very inappropriate for someone in the public eye
Mike O
Strangely enough, I've just been talking about this with the wife having read the article yesterday. I'm left with one big question - why the f**k didn't anyone have the bollox to get on stage and deck the twat? The girl was obviously not enjoying it, he was obviously enjoying it far too much and the moment someone uses the term 'fingering', all bets are off. I suspect the masses thought - we've paid dosh to be entertained / I don't understand this / I might be over-reacting to 'out-there' entertainment / don't want to look a twat / etc etc Surely someone must have known the difference between right and wrong and have been prepared to act? What's the worst that can happen? You deck him, save the girl and you get a bit heckled for being a spoilsport? Just call it 'guerilla-answer-comedy', the latest thing don't you know?, and you're away. Vegas - f**k off backto your toilet and w**k yourself dry you fat c**t
Mod
Exactly the sort of response I expected Mike, and would you believe there's people floating about, that have actually defended him? If this had been Russell Brand, he would be nicked and never get work again.. but it seems to me, it's the old 'Pisshead Johnny, he's a one eh' attitude. You're right, all those people sitting there gasping, but yet nobody done anything.

After all, that's funny....isn't it??? Don't fancy it myself, but I'd be happy to wade in afterwards...

loz
I have found Vegas funny before - not in any sitcom role but definitely when he has appeared on chat shows and in some stand up. However this doesn't for one second mean that I would be willing to excuse or even begin to justify that kind of behaviour 'in the name of comedy' with the only proviso being that it is easy to take one person's perception of an event and translate that into gospel. If he did behave in anything like the manner described in that article then it is nothing short of disgusting and depraved and his career should be over and yes there are grounds for a criminal complaint. However society is a sick bag as we can see by the fact that people like Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning had massive careers and Manning is seen as a legend of stand up. Mod
Davidson and Manning were 'sayers' though, just words, I think Vegas's lark is totally different, it's a criminal offence! ..take one person's perception of an event and translate that into gospel. It was many, some site received many complaints apparently.
loz
Hard to disagree Mod - I'm not saying that racist abuse is the same as actual physical sexual abuse - just pointing out that the public at large seems very capable of ignoring behaviour traits in celebrities that they maybe wouldn't in their next door neighbour. Englishman
I never really got the 'joke' with Johnny Vegas. Imo he's up there with Lenny Henry as the most unfunny comedian in Britain.
Gem
I never really got the 'joke' with Johnny Vegas. Imo he's up there with Lenny Henry as the most unfunny comedian in Britain. A bit unfair to breathe Lenny Henry and Johnny Vegas in the same sentence, Lenny Henry is roll your eyes unfunny, Vegas is give-me-a-f**king-gun unfunny. Horrible human being. Fair dos, it's painful to watch Lenny trying and failing to get a laugh, but he does at least seem a decent bloke. Unlike Vegas who comes across as an odious drunk with a chip on his shoulder. mad_mac
If he truly was "fingering" a girl up on stage, that is f*cking shocking! He has abused his power as a celeb, and I use that word loosely, to have his ways with an unsuspecting girl. He's blatantly used it because he can't get women any other way. If I was in the crowd and saw that, I'd have lost it!
