coco
Steve Bennett has just played a blinder of a game as uniteds 12th man. Please beware MOTD is going to be painful tonight, Scholes should have been red carded for his 2nd bad tackle in the first half, when he charged a Wigan player off the ball (leading with his right elbow and eyes off the ball), this was after earlier being yellow carded for a 2 footed tackle from behind (which is a straight red anyway). Before the Wigan game Radio 5 Live commentator Green said 'Bennett is Fergy's favourite manager', in fact he said it more than once.

jack h
The ref in our game was just as bad giving fouls whenever our players muscled them of the ball but not when it was the other way round. The Brit
people will say it's immaterial now, but bennett was a disgrace today for man u...ignored a blatant handball from rio with score at 0-0...then gives utd a dubious pen and then bottles sending scholes off for a second yellow when he baltantly deserved to go...he should be struck off for his performance today

I think mine sums it up perfectly. not being that serious coco...I just labelled it 'steve bent'...anyway we're all barking up the wrong tree according to the tw*t commentating on motd...nothing wrong with rio...it hit his shoulder and their pen was blatant too...oh he does have the temerity to say scholes should have got a second yellow

The Brit
bbc lovefest continues...seeing utd win the title was predictable, but seeing their fans celebrating and their players talking how they were the best team and deserved it without any credit to chelsea for running them close pi**ed me off...our boys showed dignity today with grant and jt wishing them well, let's do without niceities next week

Ferguson has given us credit before when we've won the title, you know that as well as i do. How do you expect United fans and players to react? They're entitled to celebrate, just as we've done when we've won it before.

Also, i agree Scholes should have went...we're whining about Bennett's performance today but he also denied United a blatant penalty when Bramble made a ludicrous tackle on Scholes which was a stonewall spot-kick. I know Scholes shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place, but it's funny how no-one on here has mentioned the challenge on Scholes from Bramble which was a definite penalty. It pains me to say it but can we please stop the whining. The table doesn't lie. United have won the League by two points and these decisions even themselves out over the course of the season, United have scored 80 goals and let in the least, they deserve to be Champions, end of. United's winger has scored 41 goals this year and their football this year has been excellent. We've done well to go close but credit where it's due. Guest
Bennet sent Ronaldo off this season, so he is hardly Man United friendly. Scholes's booking was a little soft. He got the ball cleanly but caught the player, who rolled around doing his best Ronaldo impression. The second incident was a deliberate obstruction, and I think the ref did the right thing. Not a single Wigan player claimed a penalty for the Ferdinand incident, so that was very obviously called correctly. The United penalty was pretty clear cut, Rooney in position, caught from behind, and the fact the Wigan player eventually got to the ball doesn't make it a clean tackle. Lets not forget the clear cut penalty in the second half when Scholes was hacked down, and not only did the Ref and Linesman both miss it but they both saw the Wigan player kick the ball out for a corner even though he never closer than three feet from the ball.
