sweet waffle
Remember it's The Sun so it's got to be true. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sp ... 155569.ece PETR CECH and Avram Grant will hold crunch talks that will decide if they have futures at Chelsea.Keeper Cech has rocked the club by demanding a pay rise claiming a top club is waiting with a £32m bid. Cech, 25, has two years left on his £50,000-a-week deal. His agent Pavel Zika said: “A very big European club is ready to pay £32m for Petr. At the end of the season we will examine his contract to see if we can improve it.” If Cech is coming up for contract renewal then I'd give him whatever he wants, obviously within reason. But who is the big European club??
kalpitv
The S#% has quoted those statements from Cech's agent which are 3 days old. And they didn't even mention the full interview from a Czech newspaper Pravo. They thought they could unsettle the club by this. However, in the full interview, Cech's agent clearly states that the shot-stopper does not want to leave Chelsea. There goes... Cech In 25m Transfer LinkThe agent of Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has claimed that an unnamed European club are set to bid around 25 million pound for the services of the custodian. Pavel Zika, speaking to Czech newspaper Pravo, said that another 10 clubs have been inquiring about the availability of Cech. The agent also went on to add that negotiations will take place at the end of the current campign to improve the terms of the Czech international’s contract. The announcement of the alleged interest from a European side could be seen as an attempt to introduce a bargaining chip into contract negations as it is well known that Cech is enjoying his time in London and is unlikely to depart. Zika said: "I know quite a large European club is ready to pay over 30 million euros for Petr Cech. It is an important sum for a goalkeeper. At the end of the season, we will consider the current contract of Petr and see whether we can improve it." The identity of the club remains unclear, but both Barcelona and Milan are known to be looking for new number ones after putting Victor Valdes and Dida on the transfer list respectively. Chelsea FC Champions
PETR CECH and Avram Grant will hold crunch talks that will decide if they have futures at Chelsea.Keeper Cech has rocked the club by demanding a pay rise claiming a top club is waiting with a £32m bid. And SunSport can reveal Blues boss Avram Grant will meet Roman Abramovich on Friday to hammer out whether he stays or goes as boss. That means he may know he is out of a job BEFORE the Champions League final a week tomorrow. Cech, 25, has two years left on his £50,000-a-week deal. His agent Pavel Zika said: “A very big European club is ready to pay £32m for Petr. At the end of the season we will examine his contract to see if we can improve it.” Grant has yet to be told Chelsea’s plans despite asking on several occasions. The feeling within the club is Red Rom will give the Israeli the chance of returning to his role as director of football and go for Barcelona boss Frank Rijkaard. i hope Avram goes. and cech stays! Tim
Also, interestingly, they say 'Bosingwa, who agreed a three-year contract worth £50,000 a week' which is a lot more reasonable. Hope it's true.

abramovich
http://www.chelseafc.com/page/NewsHomeP ... 80,00.html Petr Cech has today issued a statement after speculation in today's media linked him with a move away from the club. The 25-year-old said: 'Contrary to numerous press stories over the last couple of days, I would like to make it very clear to the Chelsea fans that I have no plans to leave the club. 'My sole focus at the moment is next week's Champions League Final and then the Euros. 'I am very happy at Chelsea. I still have two years left on my contract and I believe the club will sit down with my representatives at the appropriate time to discuss an extension of my current contract.' tommyhcfc
Simple solution here: Keep Grant- has done nothing wrong and despite the difficulty of taking over a club like Chelsea without a reputation, has done very well to keep us in the lague race til the end and into the CL Final. Up, Cech's wages- has made so many crucial saves and is a fantastic keeper, best in the world as far as im concerned. He has to be paid full stop. g3.7
the sun really are on a roll. first fox dynamo was off to united (but for no less than £22m), and now cech threatening to leave. ian mcgarry loses points here for presumably needing someone to keep his pencil steady while he wrote the piece. I think you're way off on this one Gullit. According to some people here Ian McGarry is so much in tune with inner workings of CFC anything that comes out under his name is golden.
