Gem
I really enjoyed the first Big Brother, and quite liked the second and third, seemed really original at the time. I remember (like it does now) an eye quickly flash up on advert breaks on C4 and wonder what the hell it was Now people just go in there for the fame, and they actually audition housemates rather than judging them on a video... seems a little desperate to me. BB has had its day, I haven't watch one since no.3. PS - Big Brother and Wimbledon for Loz this Summer, how is he going to cope with the excitement? Valerie
During the first season of Dutch Big Brother, I worked in the social psychology department of one of the Amsterdam universities. Everyone launched their own little theories on the participants' behaviour, it was still new then, amazing in its stupidity and naivety. I have never enjoyed so much a concept I actually hate ! But I haven't watched anything like it since, I loathe people playing for effect to the cameras, and their lives inside don't interest me in the least. Mod
You know what I've found coco, the people that say it's bollocks and all that, always seem to know the names of the housemates. For people that don't watch it or hate it, I find that quite strange.
clubhappy
Better than Britains got talent ? Are you mad ? At least some of the contestants on BGT have some chance of a successful carreer and have likeability . Big Brother is for those who have NO talent but clearly want attention and fame . Bloddy awful TV.

Notice how all the BB haters are emerging from their moral highchair The housemates are a true refelction of UK modern day society, love em or hate em, they represent a slice of you all. Gem
Coco, Not quite sure how you can Britain has no talent. I admit I only watched the final, but that Michael Jackson dancer, the string quartet, the wonderful 12 year old girl opera singer and the boy who won... That's talent. Appearing in a house, doing nothing for however long and expecting fame and fortune isn't......... Anyway, back on topic.
Mike O
The housemates are a true refelction of UK modern day society, love em or hate em, they represent a slice of you all. Can't....nnnggghhh.......stay..... quiet.....nnnnnnnnn.....any.....hurhhhggghhh........longer. I so hope you are full to the brim with mocking irony here mate! If they are a true reflection of modern society in the UK today, then we can surmise that: c. 50% of the UK is gay c. 20% is transgendered, or 'pre-op' c. 80% are aged between 18 and 25 c. 1 low grade GCSE is the average sum of qualifications c. There is an equal spilt of all ethnic types, e.g. 12.5% black, 12.5% asian, 12.5% white etc etc c. 100% of all the UK population are desperate for fame, at the total expense of dignity c. 2% of all women would be prepared to frig themselves off with a bottle live on front of 7 million people etc etc.... Tell me it ain't true...!

Anything with Simon Cowell in is pants imo, its because of twirps like him we end up with a fame hunger society. Wanna see my wicked tap dance ?
