Apparenlty both have been told they can leave.

SWP to Pompey or Man City?

What do you think we would get for each?

SWP - I'd hold out for 12-15M ... England International and all .. but we'd probably settle for 9.8-10

Drogba - Nothing less than 25M - push for more.

Realistically £8-10 million for SWP and around £20 million for Drogba (and even then I think that is an optimistic price) bearing in mind age, length of contract etc.

To be honest as long as we get rid of SWP i dnt mind letting him go for 5, but i think 8 mill should be chelsea's min fee.

Drogba i think 15 mill would be a good figure. Tell AC if they can't afford Adebayor then come and Get Didier for half the price.

Either way just start moving people out.

MALOUDA OUT ---- DROGBA OUT --- ETO`O IN --

New manager Phil Scolari has told Chelsea to sell striker Didier Drogba.

Scolari wants funds to rebuild the squad and, according to The Sun, has told owner Roman Abramovich the Ivory Coast international can go.

Chelsea want £22million, with AC Milan desperate to get Drogba after missing out on Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor.

And Scolari has also offered Florent Malouda to Barcelona as part of an £18m bid for striker Samuel Eto'o.

Having landed Deco on Monday, Scolari aims to shake up his squad and is keeping tabs on Ronaldinho, who Milan also want.

But Barca team-mate Eto'o, 27, has become top target.

He wants £160,000-a-week but the Blues are confident signing-on and loyalty bonuses will reduce his wages.

Malouda + 18M for Eto`o

If Barry is worth £18/£20m then Drogba is worse £100m easy.

Im sure Drogba has an English relative somewhere, being english always pushes up the price (Nugent, SWP, Johnson, Carrick etc.)

For SWP I'll reckon we'll get £10m max, for Drogba no more than £25m.

The thought of paying Malouda + 18 million for a player that is already on the outs in Eto'o makes me nauseaus.

Bad attitude, not wanted, and we're still gonna get fleeced? I dearly hope not. Seeing Malouda take off wouldnt be bad, though

Didnt Eto recently fail a medical somewhere?

When a striker/forward reaches 28-30 yrs old, and starts having knee trouble; leave well alone i say!

If recent sell on's are anything to go by we won't get £15m for the pair of them......perhaps we could just pay them to play for someone else for a couple of years until their contracts expire :D

If Eto'os knees are going, we could pair him with Sheva and form the most lethal Wonky Donkey strikeforce in the Prem.

Or not.

I actually hope that we keep Maouda. I hope that we do sell Drogba and Sweepy. Drigba has bad mouthed the club since he got here, and I think that his one good season has many fooled about just how great he is. he's a selfish tempremental player, and I will be glad if he leaves. However, we will be hard pushed to find a striker who defends as much as he does, and has a lot more humility that he does.

This is why I am a huge advocate of huntelaar. He's young, athletic, has stated that he loves to help out all over the feild, and seems to be humble.

Sweepy was never good enough, and we'll be lucky to get 10mill for him. Drogba, we'll get 15-18, at a guess...they're hardly queuing up for him. And as for Eto'o, great striker, but as tempremental as Drogba, and has bad knees. No way we should be looking at him

I totally agree on Eto'o.

I do not see any surprise in Drogba leaving, it's not as if it came as a shock to anyone... The question of his replacement is a very good one thought. If Arshavin does come, I guess we'll see him paired with Anelka or Sheva.

I would still like to see come in a young and skillfull striker. Huntelaar would be very good, David Villa as well.

If there is no such arrival, I guess Pizarro will stick around one more year, yet again as a back up, who won't see much of the field.

There is no reason to keep him if Arshavin and/or another striker comes in.

As far as SWP is concern... we probably won't miss him at all.

Although I am all for Drogs leaving, I would be extremely concerned if our strike "force" for next season was Anelka, Sheva, and Pizzarro

There are only a few strikers who can play the solitary role, and I think Huntelaar is one of them. I really rate Villa, but think that he would need another striker to support him in give and go movements. However, with the support of Deco, Robinho, Kalou right in behind him...it could work

DAILY EXPRESS: Chelsea last night offered Frank Lampard a new £140,000-a-week take-it-or-leave-it contract which would make him the highest-paid player in British football, in a desperate bid to keep him out of the clutches of Inter Milan.

Also: Phil Scolari has told Chelsea to sell Didier Drogba. The new Blues boss wants funds to rebuild the squad and Sunsport can reveal he has told Roman Abramovich the Ivory Coast hitman can go.

I think we can manage quite well without Drogba.. though it's pretty sad he is not in Scolari's plan.. but Lampard, PLS STAY and just sign the new contract! Chelsea wont be the same without lampard... he is the blue's icon! =)

Don't know about Drogba but it looks like Big Phil is warming up to Little Shaun

I hope SWP stays as I believe he has the talent to make it at Chelsea.

he had a good run when Grant used him early in the season and weakened when the players came back from the ACN.

he looked good playing nearer the main striker and in the middle which gives us alternatives.

I also like his attitude, the way he was used to being the best player at City and then came here without any big headedness and knuckled down is very impressive.
