abramovich
Apparently a done deal. Another Dutchman ended up at Real. http://www.goal.com/en/news/1705/real-madr...-jan-hunterlaar

Kerry
So another one opportunity to enforce our upfront cut down. Great news
4EVERCHELSEA
There should be some sort of limit on how many Dutch players Real can sign. Do they have some of deal with young dutch or dutch players in general??

ducavis
slow thinking Kenyon; we were always asking for trouble with too many players on the wrong side of 30. Sorry but Fergie was right' the squad is too old these old players should be on the peripheral of the squad not mainstays.
jack h
Surely that forces saviola (a better player IMO anyway) out the door
Ruh Buh Juh
Don't give up hope! Robinho to us was apparently a "done deal" and look what happened then?
ChelseaYankee
Don't give up hope!Robinho to us was apparently a "done deal" and look what happened then? ;) First off, it's a Goal.com article. Second, it's Ramón Calderón's press release. I don't know which one is worse as a source. Anyway, it'd be poetic justice if we outbid Real Madrid just as they were on the cusp of signing him, IMO. Kerry
Oh no, this'll mean they won't be interested in Drogba this January ;)
Valerie
Don't talk to me about Dutchmen atm. I know the feeling ;) Shame about Huntelaar though. I had hoped we could sign him.
TheWestwayWonder
WHAT? Now, how are they going to fit in Kaka, Messi and Ronaldo when they all come next transfer window? In all seriousness, though, these clowns make me laugh. Calderon is so scared stiff his team drop off and it costs him his position that he is willing to spunk a large wad right now on this kid, this after buying another replacement player in vdV over the summer, and clearly having options at striker (Raul, Higuain, Saviola) even without Ruud. However, I give them credit for striking when the bidding will probably be most slack. Theyre not waiting to see if Fergie jettisons Tevez, or for us to make a move, theyre going for it. Still, even with their business acumen, everyone is saying they are going to get stung for 17 to roughly 30 (!!!) million pounds for him. Good luck, kid, because unless youve got the patience of a saint and horshoes jammed up your arse for last minute goals, you'll be looking for a new home in three years (hope to god im right) The funny thing is, to me, Madrid seemed to have learned something from their trophyless disaster years. They hired Capello, they built young and promoted from within. They seem to be back to playing fantasy football and firing managers for fun

BBC now reporting it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/europe/7761757.stm I do like the idea of getting Saviola on the back of this though. Somebody get Kenyon on the phone pronto ;)
TheWestwayWonder
bold prediction: Huntelaar plays a few games, scores some good goals, and then Ruud returns rots for the rest of his life on the bench becuase the animal ultras like Higuain better. To hell with picking up Calderon's scraps. Id rather buy Hesky after the way those twats played us like fools
