Well, the draw is complete.
Group A: Poland, Greece, Russia, Czech Rep
Group B: Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal
Group C: Spain, Italy, Ireland, Croatia
Group D: Ukraine, Sweden, France, England
No discussion on the obvious Group of Death... Group B not only took it, but dominated. With that said, I still expect Germany to advance out with the Netherlands.
Group A is the GoW (Group of Weak)... No disrespect or anything.

Love getting to play England again, we have a decent change to make it the top 2 but then we'll probably get to play Spain and then thats that.

Group A and B are really totally unbalanced ... Which is quite good so there is a chance Germany doesnt even make it out of the group
I really want them to fail...

Im actually going to put some money on Germany to win it. I think they have got a really good chance, and with that group i doubt their odds will have dropped.
Decent draw for us. Does anyone know the route to the final yet? I.e winners of group D play runners up group c? etc
By the way, why does every single UEFA and FIFA draw have to drag on and on and on and on. The FA Cup draw is just lets get on with the draw. (Incidentally, 3rd round draw this weekend, one of the best days of the season)

That's exactly the start of the route.
Group A winner vs. Group B runner-up
Group B winner vs. Group A runner-up
Group C winner vs. Group D runner-up
Group D winner vs. Group C runner-up
Then I believe its (hopefully I don't have it mixed up)...
Group A winner/Group B runner-up vs. Group C winner/Group D runner-up
Group B winner/Group A runner-up vs. Group D winner/Group C runner-up
The final is the two that make it through that mess.

The idea of having two hosts who are so weak was always going to make it incredibly hard to have a balanced draw. A team like Denmark have to be livid right now.
Ukraine and Poland probably wouldn't have qualified for the tournament but as it is they get a plum draw and everything.
Shouldn't matter too much though. Good thing is Group A should be eradicated fairly easily in the quarters. So all the good teams should be fine. I'm really hoping for Germany or the Dutch to win if England are incapable (which they always seem to be). It's time for a team with good dribblers and great forward movement to overtturn the supremacy of this rubbish, boring 5 metre passing style that has somehow come to dominate football.

I'm sure this has posted before but just in case...
It's a pity we didn't get Portugal, Ireland, Greece and Spain.
Otherwise known as the Group of Debt.

Hi there!
I have watched the replay of Netherlands - Russia at Euro 2008 recently. FFS - what a team we had!
Our glory in the past now -- Advocaat never looks like an adequate substitution for Hiddink, Arshavin can`t run anymore, Zhirkov buried his abilities and prospect at Stamford Bridge and someone above has already stated "Good thing is Group A should be eradicated fairly easily in the quarters."
Good draw for Russia, I think we can make quarters, but I`m not super happy about our prospects anyway.
England got a tough group. Gl.
And I don`t think Germans are big favourites of group B.

So if we win our group we will play Italy (probably) and if we come runners up we play Spain (probably)
Another knockout at the Quarter Finals!

Cheers Matamarryme, but do you have a "knock one out" schedule also?

Why are there almost never any great games on my birthday? This year it's Czech Rep. v Poland and Greece v Russia. Why can't I get England against Sweden, Netherlands against Germany or perhaps Spain against Italy?
Or is my birthday simply of such importance that it shall never be disrupted with great games?
