I actually thought he was culpable for the first two goal. Fannying around near our own byline, slips over and knocks the ball out for a corner. This eventually result in the corner that they score from (although i will also concede that Penders looked like he was doing a Kepa impression of tracking the ball through the air instead of trying to come for it and naturally the pussy Gusto failed to make any form of attempt of a challenge at the back post). Then for the second he again did some overly fussy turns back into trouble and lost the ball, resulting in the goal (although again James was ball watching). So on 48 minutes, i was fuming. Get the tw@t off the pitch. However by the end, because we were flying he had a solid game, scored a goal, got an assist (!) and kept us moving. On balance i think he did alright and would again be one of those performing well as part of a better group. Not ready to be the main player in a more second string line up though.

I am not sure it is a case of overhyping academy products at all. What i do think is that if we had asked somebody outside of our Chelsea bubble to name the 16 year old player out on the pitch last night a significant number would have picked Estevao, who absolutely looks like a a youth product struggling to come to terms with the physical side of senior football. I don't think the lad disgraced himself by any means and, as an example, was demonstrably better than both Gusto and Gittens. In a team bereft of durable midfield players i would not have a problem if he were brought on from the bench for cameo performances in some situations.

Could go either way. United are very up and down but City struggled to beat Coventry. Hope for a spicy games with a narrow United win and a few red cards, one being Enzo.

Im hoping Alonso migrates to 4-2-3-1. with one of the back four acting as wing back periodically Estevao starting front four (3&1)Estevao Palmer Rodgers Pedro any order and position you like. This should give excitement without excessive risk.- Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2026/27
As much as we all wish failure for City and the 2 Enzos, they are a strong team and likely will beat United.- Valentin Barco our Ginger Argentinian
Are you here all week?😂- Valentin Barco our Ginger Argentinian
I thought bar the mistake for the second goal that he was pretty good last night. I think he'll complement Caicedo well in midfield, and he gets stuck in.- Following Our Nearest And Dearest Rivals 2026/27

Exactly that, it was designed to placate the clubs who were looking a the super league money, same as they are now looking at giving certain teams a free inclusion in the CL no matter where they finishing their domestic leagues. Which means they keep the money, means they can then carry on taking players from any other teams and hold their place at the top of the table.- 20 Years! 20 years?

I certainly agree on the good thought Rogers looked top drawer at times with his running on the ball offensively. Palmer look close to his best and good to see this. Neto seem to link up with them well too. Welbeck took his goals well and is good to see early in his career at SB.- Danny Welbeck
Wasn't convinced when we signed him yet credit to him for taking his chances. Good also to have an alternative for Pedro.- So it's Pochettino...and now officially gone!
