Last Tuesday, 14th July, was the forum's birthday of 20 years! (Remember the late nights, @loz , on the old Windows Messenger, fighting database errors and going through a million hosting companies)

I don't want to be cringeworthy or sentimental, but just wanted to say Thanks. Thanks to everyone who made the website what it was and those who contributed donations to keep it all here and running.

Social media started and got huge during that time, and we've managed to plod on and keep the proper core fans (with a few exceptions on the way) in one place!

Without you lot, it wouldn't have been online this long. Some rage-quit Chelsea when the new owners took over and were doing their thing, and others found it (and still do) a place to vent.

I can't promise the forum for another 20 years (or maybe even 20 months), but proud of how far this place has come and again, it's all down to you!

Thank you for your efforts over the years. I would have been lost without this forum during the period when the government tried to shut the club down by forcing the sale from Mr Abramovich and during the transition to absolute madness with those geniuses at Blue Co. Having lived through Ken and his electric fence (my mum was not at all happy with that fence, just saying ) im looking forward to further years on this forum. Can we go back to the days of Peter Osgood and Charlie Cooke please ?

20 years??? But i'm the same age, how is that possible. I think at the taking of this photo the forum must have been a fine 2 years old - I'm not sure how many in the photo are still around. It was a from a Cobham fans tournament, the shed team pictured below, started out full of intent and I think we ended up over 50% ringers... or maybe future forum members, who knows.

Looking back, the very first Rumour thread here was about possible signing Ashley Cole. Since then he's joined, won the league, CL, become a club legend, left, retired, and started coaching.

Current favourite bit of forum lore is that Brian M, in that thread, had the same opinion as the European Court of Justice when it comes to the rights of players to move clubs
