  2. Imagine an Australian being more optimistic/right about this England team than all you sorry English. This game was a glorified friendly, a real American All-Star game vibe (not a compliment, for non-Americans). No defending to speak of. Mbappe laughing and joking with Tuchel in the tunnel at HT. Gusto starting. There are only two things that should be gleaned from this game; Kane's England days are finished, and Gusto's footballing days should be finished if he can't even perform in this televised open training session. Gabriel injured, Saliba injured, Hincapie injured, Rice knackered, Saka on the way to the knackery, Madueke starting. Arsenal won't make the CL next season.

  6. We are truly blessed to have a player like Jude Bellingham. He is special. The type of player we only see once in our lifetime.
  7. I think above all, there better be a plan. I don’t want to see Rogers hugging the touchline or he and Palmer get in the way of one another. Play to his strengths that also benefits everyone else.
  8. I agree. I hate seeing players take their medal off, it's childish.
  9. Entertaining. Can’t really take much from it though, when you take away the pressure from the game. Nonetheless, finally a competitive England game that was fun to watch, rather than nervy, frustrating or depressing.

  11. I do like Rogers, but I also understand the concerns. If he was signed for £60-70m, I don't think people would be as worried, but £117m is a hell of a lot of money for one player. For that money, I want Palmer levels when he is at his best, and Rogers hasn't shown close to those levels yet.

  13. As it should be. I hate seeing players rip off the runners up medal immediately and sulk around. I was always taught to be magnanimous in defeat. This is the best England have managed since 66 so they should be proud.
  14. Jude with the goal of the tournament.

  16. Anderson and Tonali have set the market. It is what it is.

  18. Well said. It’s a stupid fee, and you see why European clubs don’t get involved. At that fee you expect a world class player which he isn’t even close to.
  19. So weird seeing players happy with the Bronze medal, because tomorrow, there will be players pulling off their runners up medal the second it is placed on them 😆
  20. A decent article on Penders, henceforth known as Pendo. BBC SportCould ball-playing Mike Penders become Chelsea's no1 goal...Chelsea's newest goalkeeping prospect, Mike Penders, is from the same production line that produced the legendary Thibaut Courtois.
  21. Entertaining game. Well done England. Bellinghams goal was like something on PlayStation We have to take the next step. What could have been.

  23. Never really been impressed by him. When the news broke I was shocked, then after being reminded about City’s former youth team, and the Joe Shields links + the dodgy gentlemen’s agreement we have/had with Villa previously, so most likely they’ll sign Jackson or someone off us. Then it takes away the shock a little. For that fee, you need someone who scores goals.. for which his record is poor. It’s really concerning, can’t see any balance in the squad, nor has this solved our key problems. God I hope he proves me wrong.

  27. We still don't have a goalkeeper!
  28. Konaté was the weak link, that and having absolutely no midfield and being exposed made him look poor.
  29. Back in 2023, I had him down as the best player in the world on form, then he fell off. It must be a club issue, because he looks great for England.
  30. Its not the defeat to Argentina that has me so bitter, its the way we lost it entirely on their terms.
  31. Back to back stinkers.
  32. If we put the performances aside and judge the end result, England probably finished higher than I would have placed them at the start of the tournament.
  33. Rice looks absolutely shattered.
  34. I hope Como don't pull out of the Chalobah deal after Trev got sat down by Dembele for France's 4th LOL
  35. Did you make a joke Bob?
  36. Maybe Lacroix really is just a back 3 specialist.
