I do like Rogers, but I also understand the concerns. If he was signed for £60-70m, I don't think people would be as worried, but £117m is a hell of a lot of money for one player. For that money, I want Palmer levels when he is at his best, and Rogers hasn't shown close to those levels yet.

Never really been impressed by him. When the news broke I was shocked, then after being reminded about City’s former youth team, and the Joe Shields links + the dodgy gentlemen’s agreement we have/had with Villa previously, so most likely they’ll sign Jackson or someone off us. Then it takes away the shock a little. For that fee, you need someone who scores goals.. for which his record is poor.
