  1. Can't say I'm surprised - we haven't looked good at all so far. COME ON!!!
  2. Well he's already got something in common - he hasn't scored against Chelsea!
  3. I've always found the dvds a bit disappointing for that reason - would love a dvd of the full coverage of the final and semi final.
  4. I've loved watching these again. My problem with a lot of them though is not the music - it's the "arty" shots of the actual match - I don't know the technical term but it's when it goes out of focus, and some of the viewpoints are from the bottom corner of the net for instance. I'm an old fashioned girl and would rather see decent shots of the build-up and goals. Probably in the minority though, just my opinion.
  5. Moi - yes it was - Davey Baby got a comment in in between my clockwork driven work computer deciding to quote your post without attaching the comment, and me manually typing the comment in again! Huh - anyone would think this computer is for work purposes!
  6. Stupid old server at work doesn't seem to let me quote and post - my response to your comment should be: Already done this for my screensaver at work! Great minds think alike!
  7. Want to see this - am waiting to see if they're going to show it at my local independent - we have a cineworld as well but I can't remember the last time I went there. After all, the independent serve Shiraz and local beer, cineworld serve popcorn and such - no brainer. And at the local independent, I am one of the "young ones" - not often I can say that.
  8. Rather belatedly, just seen Lincoln - what an awful, tedious, self-indulgent, boring film! Now, I like all types of films from serious, to light, musical, thriller, etc but this was just awful. It consisted of two hours of talking, with no real explanation of the characters involved, a long voting scene - but as the characters hadn't been properly explored, the tension was lost as you didn't really know why they were voting against expectation - if indeed you could work out what the expectation was! Maybe if I'd understood more about American politics I would've appreciated it more. But I'm not stupid and my friend is a history teacher and found it hard going too. Came out feeling thoroughly pissed off - couldn't leave as I'd travelled with friends and I was in the middle of a row and, ever the optimist, I a ways expect things to get better. Seeing Life of Pi next week - am expecting much better!
  9. You'd have thought they would have taken him somewhere out of the cold to interview him!
  10. I think after such a sh*tty season, we are all just grasping at the idea of ANYTHING to get excited about - I know I am - and yes my head says no but my heart.... well I think that's evident.
  11. Not so long ago I was on here every five minutes to see if Benitez had gone - now it's to see if Jose is coming. It will be nice to concentrate on the actual football at some time in the future!
  12. I never turned on him - I still appreciated his time and his skills here - but just felt a little sad. I felt disappointed that his relationship with the club must have been so tarnished for him to have said that - now I know that it wasn't anything like that - I should've remembered not to believe anything in the papers!
  13. Shrewsbury Town - it's now my local team and I go along a few times a season and cheer them on avidly when I do - though not as passionately as I do Chelsea of course. Was disproportionately pleased that "Come on you Blues" did for both - not sure if I could have coped with "reds"! Queued from about 3 in the morning for tickets when they were drawn at home against Chelsea in the FA cup a few years back but were still quite a way down the road when they sold out.
  14. Yeah I always liked him and was disappointed when I thought he'd said that - I can go back to loving him unreservedly again.
  15. I think if it was just shopping and living it up he was looking for, Madrid may do just as well as London? says she *reading into any situation what she hopes to find*
  16. Got to admit that's how I read it too - wish he'd said a club rather than a destination! But the main thing is for Benitez to go - Jose coming home would just make it even better.
  17. Love the quote about Rijkaard too! Oh how I loved his press conferences!
  18. "Was the problem a cultural problem?" "It was a result problem." Absolutely love the man!
  19. Mourinho documentary just about to start being repeated on ITV4 - may have to have a little bit of wistful lusting - both on a personal level and for Chelsea......
