Ha ha @just. Well none of my three children are spammers! One is true Blue Chelsea and comes to matches with me. One is a Shrewsbury fan (fair enough, it's his local team) and one isn't really that bothered generally by football. but comes occasionally to both Shrewsbury and Chelsea and cheers for them both wholeheartedly when she does. So I guess you can tell you rules the roost here!

To those of you wondering about how I stay married to a Spammer - it's quite easy really. They've never really recently been competing on the same level as us have they? And funnily enough, even before I met him (pre-historic times) I've never really hated them - well no more than any other mid-table also rans (as we were also tbf at best at the time!!). And although a Spammer he is much more of a general football fan, just liking watching all matches really rather than being 100% passionate about his team. He's more heavily emotionally invested in Shrewsbury Town, our local team, now. Completely different to me.

I think the poor start by Spammers and Stoke is what has mislead me really. No excuse either as my husband is a Spammer and my boss a Stokie so I am sort of aware of their results each weekend - just hadn't looked at the table. I actually thought at the beginning of the season that Stoke had a very useful looking squad and was surprised at how poor their results were. As far as I am aware my boss is happy with Sparky - I think fans who aren't should be a bit more realistic and ask themselves who is around who is available and would do a better job.

For the first time in a long while I actually looked at the league table properly as I have tended to look only at the top or bottom. I was very surprised to see WBA, Spammers and Stoke in 8th, 9th and 10th, as I thought they were all just above relegation. Like maps, I do find new things in league tables to wonder over all the time.

That's what Mike was predicting for us over the next 6 games. Keep up, keep up.

Really? I thought we had quite a lot of coverage. But then I do tend to only read Chelsea related stories. Unless it's to laugh at our competitors!

Agree 100%. It was the most obvious difference between us and Arse when we played - their attitude when they hadn't got the ball as "someone get it and pass it to me" whereas ours was "Get out of the f**king way, I'm going to get it".

Yeah, good thanks. Had a fantastic skiing holiday. Got a few match-days planned. Couple of holidays and music festivals planned for later in the year too. Life's good. Though of course worried that an eight point lead isn't enough!

Yeah the Watford game - which I signed up with the supporters' club for. Then it was changed to Monday so they said "we won't be going unless we beat Wolves and get drawn a home game which will replace the Watford game that weekend". So we beat Wolves, get a home game and still can't go!

Means I can't go - well not without taking two half days of leave. If it had been at the weekend, the supporters' club was running a coach so I'd have been there.

Ha ha! It was so uncharacteristic of him. He worked in a bank and was just not a Del Boy type! I have no idea how he got in, whether he actually managed to find someone with a ticket so got in legitimately or not. I'll have to remember to ask my sister next time I see her.

And they'd have all the interviews with the wives and kids too. And song sheets in the tabloids and free cardboard clackers. It was an all day affair definitely! And by teatime you'd seen footage of the winning goal about 30 times! I remember for the Sunderland v Leeds final I was invited to a friend's birthday party. I didn't want to go because I'd miss it but my mum made me go...I was in a hump and at some point in the afternoon we went to the corner shop to get some more lemonade and I was just standing there asking the shop keeper what the score was until I was dragged out by the girlie girls. For the Chelsea FA cup game, we decorated the living room and put out home-made wooden rattles (my brother had been busy in DT I guess) and had numbered seats on the settee (no-one calls it that now do they) and the party sevens were lined up. Still am cross that I wasn't old enough to be taken - my brother was taken to the final and my sister to the replay. My dad drove all the way to Manchester on his scooter without a ticket and blagged his way in.

Apart from the fact that I was so f**king worried I felt sick! I was pacing round the kitchen muttering and swearing and I could barely eat before it. When they got their penalty I thought I was going to throw up. As a neutral it might have been a great game, all I remember is that it added 10 years to my life!
