The way we were flying into challenges was a real concern early on, Colwill was on a yellow and he was shoving people to the ground, can see discipline being an issue again.
Why oh why are we demanding £100m for Neto, we should be accepting anything! Absolute lunacy.

Can’t thank Super Tommy Tuchel enough for leaving CP out of the World Cup. Looks like he’s remembered he’s a generational talent so far this game.

Problem with Sanchez is that he makes one mistake and then looks incredibly nervous. This seems to spread to the defence. Rinse and repeat unfortunately.

so what reasons are there for Argentina to claim ownership., other than its nearby?

Well, I did a 'half hearted job' of explaining because I am no expert on this matter, but my understanding is something along the lines of the French got there first but gave up and left, then the British arrived and managed to inhabit and farm it. The Argentinians (European settlers/conquistadors) were probably too busy ethnically cleansing the mainland to care about the Falklands at the time.
I suggest that you can research it and form your own opinion though. But ultimately and in the context of Enzo Fernandez, I believe that given he lives and earns his salary in the UK, it would have been much better if he'd kept out of the graffiti ridden bedsheet waving and focused on celebrating the football victory.

So can we can claim ownership on France then, as were closer to France than Argentina is to the Falklands.
Being near something is not a reason to own it, you say its a simplistic reason, its not, its a totally moronic reason.

So you say some perspective is needed and all you've done is defend racism, dangerous driving and leaving his wife and kids?
In regards to the Falklands, what does location have to do with anything? We've held the islands long before Argentina was even a country. Ask the people that live there and 99% consider themselves British. Please explain your reasoning and why you think your/their opinion is more important than the people that live there? By your logic, does that mean the rest of Ireland should be British because they're a small island off our coast?
Covering ground is meaningless if you do nothing with it. I believe the phrase 'headless chicken' is appropriate here.

I would argue strongly that what we see in blue is the illusion of passion, rather than actual passion. Running 30 yards to shout at an opponent or the referee after another player is fouled might be a nice optic for TV but it doesn't actually achieve anything. We rarely/never see a crunching legitimate tackle, or any actual verbal or physical leadership when he is captain ... but we do see a lot of petulance and faux hard man acting ...

A few bits, but notably the justification of him joining in the bed sheet waving on the simplistic reasoning that the Falkland Islands are closer to Argentina than the UK.

he'd do well to learn the lessons of Andreas Escobar and not be seen in public for the next 2 years of his life. Personally, so I dont have to see his punchable face because we're stuck with him.

Argentina's final was against england, they burnt out in that game. Last night's final was painful to watch because we could have and should have beaten both Argentina and Spain.
He should never have been in the final after elbowing Anderson in the head in the semi final. And Argentina should have been down to 9 men, but becasue FIFA is more bent than a drugged fentanyl street whore, Argentina could injure players and get away with it. Vile club and Enzo is the face of a racist nation.

Can we change the thread title to f**k off Enzo..

“Nothing was ill-intentioned. My family and I have a lot of respect for the English, especially my wife. Everyone who cleans and cooks at our house in London is English, and we really love them.”
So ... trying to position the English as his servants ... such a w**ker.

What about Enzo Fernandez, or any player in Chelsea's squad over the last few months, makes you think that?

Is it? This is the vice-captain of Chelsea we're talking about and in the space of a 24 months he has:
Mocked his club teammates on the grounds of race and ethnicity
Openly tried to engineer a move to another club
Mocked his club's fans by making stupid political statements on the Falklands
He's an edgy man-child, not some sort of leader.

Perhaps most importantly he is made it pretty clear that he wants out. He and his agent will keep pushing for a move. It would be in the best interests of the club to move him on this summer.

At this point I think his presence at the club would be toxic. Was bad enough when he openly disrespected the club and fans by announcing he wanted to leave. But his behavior so far at the World Cup will only lead to more ugliness. At the very least if he stays even for the start of the season he cannot have any captaincy (or vice captaincy) role at the club.
