5 points of the title, we could of won this league so easily, is sickening. 50 million on Cavani would of won us this league. Three goals would of one us this title for instance vs Norwich, Sunderland and west ham You can always look back on seasons where you haven't won the league and pick out certain times but this season seems more than ever one that we let slip and I won't be able to get over that all summer.

Yeah to be honest my judgement is before might change my mind after the transfer window. I agree they'll have little trouble brining in players. Still just a but unknown for me, like I said I don't think they'll be in title contention but if they bring in great players I wouldn't be shocked but at the same time I could see them just scrapping 4th, who knows Yeah maybe I am writing them off a little too early, they've been there for 20 plus years don't think they'll let themselves fade away. Obviously the transfer window is the main thing, they have a lot to sort out and money can get you the players but they might not all work the way they expect. As I said above just not sure what they'll do but at the moment I don't think they'll be close to an us and city, I think well both come back stronger. Maybe they'll get third, at the moment that's the best I see for them, which isn't terrible just think they're too far off a title winning side

It takes a lot of things to click for great seasons to happen. Few lucky results here and there, can't really claim Liverpool have been lucky in all thier results. But you've been lucky with injuries, alot of your players have had a great season but for me there are question marks about their ability to do it again. Sturridge for example, will he get the same number of goals next year, was this sign of his future or a brilliant season that we won't see again, exactly the same point for sterling. Not sure on how good Gerrard will be next year, not getting any younger, wont be able to play every game including Europe. 6 signings sound all well and good but don't think Rodgers is brilliant at bringing players in, lets says half of em work still leaves the squad thin. Not saying Liverpool are definitely gonna fall off but not confident about them and just said I see Man U could finishing higher, Man U, looking like no European football and some signings in the summer will give them a good starting point

In contention for the title? What makes you think that? Could see them above Liverpool, but don't think they'll be anywhere near challenge for the league. Would be interested in how you both thought they'd get on this season?

Think hel'l push for top four but that job is the toughest in football, not just the history but the fact that the team are so very average. Not having cl will help a lot

I just don't get what players are gonna get from playing long ball on sh*t pitches? I don't watch any lower league Spanish teams but I could imagine they try to pass the ball around, over here I've seen quite a fair ammount of league 2 football, it is shocking. The worry for me is that if they are forcing an unreasonable amount of home grown players on premier league teams the top players will all go to the top teams, half of them sitting on the bench e.g centre backs who won't get any playing time if they aren't first choice. How is that going to be the best thing for the national team? This will also bring the quality of the league down, look at Spain and Germany they have a couple of great times and the rest are very poor. There is no evidence that this will work over here, all guess work. If youth players playing in lower leagues worked why don't we do it already? As much as I don't like lower league football there are plenty of people who do, b teams make a mockery of lower teams and what makes English football great

Fat Sam has basically been saying he wants Liverpool to win the league said on a personal level he would want Gerrard to win it and everyone else wants them to do it. Hope they sack him at half time. Luckily city will win it if they draw so your completely negative tactics won't work d**khead

The problem I have with the b team is that these youth players are going to get playing experience but at a low level. The highest they can play is at league 1, only slightly higher than at youth level in my opinion. Chelsea have loads of players out on loan playing at high level and they are still not going to get into our first team, we don't buy players from the championship let alone lower so how is it goning to help produce players with enough quality to play for our first team? If we are forced to take these players so we meet the English player quota it's just gonna bring the standard of football down, ok there might be a few more English players to chose from but the level will be a lot lower and were already struggling in Europe as a country, we may as well not enter if this system comes in

Just heard the press conference, basically they want to bring in 'league 3' which will be made up of B teams from top clubs. These teams can't get higher than league 1 and won't be able to play in cup competition (not sure how much they are going to develop playing average opposition). Also they are really trying to limit non home grown players, they want to eventually bring in around 15, can't remember exactly which number they said, they want to limit non EU players to just 4 for the squad. Basically it seemed just just wanna pack the prem with English players, doesn't matter if the quality declines but I think they assume the more English players there are the more likely the chances that there will be good players.

The future of the English game, tasked with getting England to win the World Cup in 2022, if people haven't seen it before he is the list of members; -Roger Burden -Greg Clarke -Greg Dyke -Rio Ferdinand -Dario Gradi -Glenn Hoddle -Roy Hodgson -Ritchie Humphreys -Danny Mills -Howard Wilkinson Could anyone find a more incompetent bunch of idiots if they tried, they have come up with the most obvious objectives but not stated how to achieve them, objectives are as follows; -Improve England's success at international level -Create an environment where players want to play for England -Improve how talent is identified -Have more English players starting in the premier league -Reach the Euro semi-finals in 2020 and win the World Cup 2022 Greg Dyke, the biggest idiot of the lot to announce the findings of the England commission today at 2 pm, I need a good laugh. We really have no hope going forward

Yet another case of British bias, happens time and time again. The worst time for me being Rooney beating Drogba to player of the year in 2010

Hope that is sarcastic, I actually think he's average manager, pretty tactically naive and hasn't done great with an amazing squad

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
Maybe it's bias but none of the champions since we won it on 2010 have been great, they've just been better than the rest. City this year have looked like bottling it a few times and are only going to win it through ours and liverpools failings. Man U last year were shocking but still won it comfortably, they had no challengers. City in 2012 were very on and off and almost bottled it. United in 2011 won it with 80 points, so low, we went into a game at old Trafford with 3 games to go needing a win to send us top. Fair enough we didn't get it but we shouldn't of had that chance given that season we were 5th over Christmas and if I remember rightly we hadn't won in 5 games. Us in 2010 seemed great, broke the scoring record and could blow a lot of teams away as well as holding our nerve in some big games. Plus when you look at english teams in the champions league over these years the results match, we have been an exception but we played like the underdogs to get as far as we have done, the other exception being Man U, but lets not forget they got smashed in the final by barca and previously they had played us and schakle to get there, very lucky draw. If we can get things right we could walk the league next year

What's that, a draw tonight, then Newcastle decide that they owe their travelling fans a win, put their performance of the season in and with a little help from an own goal from agent moses they beat Liverpool 1-0. Then west ham play their classic 19th century football, keep it 0-0 till up steps Joe Cole to give the club he really loves the edge. Final minute and we need a goal, who's that with a overhead kick from 30 yards! It's Mikel, CFC are champions and all is good in the world. CAARREEEEFREEEE.

Ross Barkley
I think they could get 35 for Barkely, Ba is never worth 15. True finding a better striker isn't easy but I think getting more money and looking for a striker is a better option for them. When you look at Bony for what, 12 million, Everton would be stupid to not have a look at striking options for 15-20 million rather than take Ba and hand over thier most exciting prospect.

The problem with Fulham is that they're poor home and away, it don't matter if they play in black or white

Transitional Season
I think the agruement that its not a transitional season because 'we should of done it already' or we've been doing it for years is very weak. We tried to do it with AVB but it didn't work so we got rid of him, RDM was only a short term solution and forced Chelsea to give him the full time job, his achivements were remarkable but if we're all honest he was never the man to build a new team. Then FSW who the less said the better. Really Jose is starting a whole new project. As its been said we haven't replaced the spine of our team that was so successful. No Drogba replacement, no Lampard replacement, no real replacement for Cole, other than a quick fix rb. Still have to get a replacement for JT, although admittedly he is the best reamaing player.these solutions are all looking to be fixed, were buying young players now ones with a future and if we get it right we might have another great team for the next 10 years. We've added youth to our squad as well and stopped buying players for one or two seasons like Ba or Benayoun ect (admittedly Schwarzer and Eto'o but these were free/cheap). As its been said our playing style has changed, we seem a lot more organised and seem to be building towards something, were possibly just a striker off, for the last few years we would of needed a lot more than just that, our defence has finally been sorted out. The way I see it is that the press don't let Jose have a transitional season, they've been telling us otherwise all year. If we had a different manager this year we wouldn't of even been mentioned for the title, not a chance, Joses record has gone against him this yar he doesn't get a let off from his high standards. If the man who came to this club and told everyone he is the special one, basically said he would win the league and did why are we questioning when he came here on his first press conference and said he will not win the league, that this is infact a transitional season, he has always said it and he would know.
