  1. This is the same thought that keeps me up each champions league night, surely it can't happen, there's no easy teams left for them now
  2. We defeinetly don't need three out and out strikers, one world class one and one impact player that can make the difference, someone and lukaku sounds good to me but as mentioned he doesn't want to be number 2, also it seems that we're happy to sell unless players are vital to our immediate plans, a good price that comes in for lukaku and he'll be gone. Really out of the 4 strikers we will have we need to get rid of 3 and I think that will be as tough to get right as buying a new one
  3. Everyone seems to think we're the only side that will drop points, how have city arsenal and lpool become invincible? I'm sure we will beat arsenal, with 8 games to go going undeafeted doesn't seem too much of an ask and if we do it it will be difficult to get ahead of us, Liverpool away of course being the toughest game but if we can come away with something there who knows. Losing to villa hasn't changed too much just means less room for error but with the least games to play in the prem it gives us an advantage, champions league shouldn't be too much of a reason not to perform in the league we have a big enough squad.
  4. I really see united going through, not that it bothers me that much, as long as they don't win it. I think it's the expectation of united always getting lucky wins and going against the odds that has been permanently engraved in my mind from childhood. Though moyes has started to change that opinion, good work. I'm hoping that children are now growing up in a new era, a world where man u dont always win from losing positions, can't score last minute goals, I hope the youth of today have a completely different opinion on united to what I had. Here's to a bright future
  5. Torres leaving will match any signing we make this summer, I don't actually hate him as much as others on here but has to go if we wanna move forward. Jose calling in a debt with inter maybe, can't see why they would want either him or mikel
  6. As long as its not bayern or barca, done with both of those for now, Madrid would be a tough game but a great story
  7. Lampard, looked very comfortable in possion, went forward well at the right times and being as he hasn't been playing as much as he's used to he didn't miss a beat, not that we'd expect anything different, felt a goal was coming for him tonight but wasnt to be
  8. Easy 3 points, arsenal don't turn up to big games, couldn't even get a positive result vs united, home or away. I don't see anyone they have or anything they do being a threat to us as long as were not terrible on the day shouldn't be any bother. My only worry was a tough game tonight being felt on Saturday but being at home tonight, the fact it was relatively comfortable and that there will be changes should make us fresh enough to collect the points.
  9. I'd like to think had we not been comfortable a couple more chances would have been taken, selfishness in the final third and maybe not fully committed to scoring again possibly?
  10. Never know we could get lucky in the draw and get the winner of man u - olympiakos, should get through against either of them and from the semis I wouldn't bet against us whoever is left. Today was a better performance but against a very poor side, I'm not saying we're the most likely but you've got to dream.
  11. Lampard as fantastic today, would like to see a bit more of Lampard and Matic in the league, perhaps arsenal would be the perfect opportunity. Glad to see Oscar closer to his best, still looks a bit tired and I don't know where he will a rest from. Hazard had some brilliant moments as well, went round players like they weren't there, sometimes from a standing start.
  12. I actually always liked ballack, when you think of other big names that came here towards the latter stages of their careers he did pretty well (Deco). He's great when he's on sky as well, very knowledgable and I love it when he corrects the other pundits guessing about German teams. It is a shame for ballack not getting the medals his talent deserved but it makes me even more grateful for Munich for not having to add the likes of Terry, Lampard, Cole, Drogba, Cech, Ivan to the list of great players not to win the CL
  13. I'm confused as to why they dont have salah starting, metro don't have a clue.
  14. I don't think thats necessarily true, points wise at least, perhaps it will be mentally damaging but I still see a lot of dropped points by all teams in the title race and teams still have to play each other, still wide open, even if we lose next week we could still go 7 games unbeaten and win it. As for the actual game next week it's all about which team turns up for it, arsenal that played yesterday were there for the taking just spurs couldn't create enough, get the game won early so hopefully tiredness from CL game won't affect the result, really don't want to the unbeaten home record to go the arsenal
  15. Willian has possibly less excuses but certainly don't think schurrle can be judged until he has more game time, I think they will improve and could see a lot more from both of them next season. Hazard has come on the longer he's been in England and when you look at ozil,a proven world class talent, it puts it in perspective, it's tough coming to the prem
  16. I think it's gonna be very tight and will be won on a solid defence rather than a good attacking display, I can even see a JT or Ivan goal from a corner being the difference. It will be a tough game but at the same time it will be very disappointing if we don't go through, shouldn't be any excuses not to be in the hat for the QF.
  17. We've spent money on young players with potential and when we buy a striker it has to be someone we can build our team around and maintain success for years to come. The players that don't work out will still be young enough that they can be sold on without losing money if not even making a profit and at very least stops rivals buying them cheap. I think we could of spent better to try and win the league this year but it's got to be long term project, our first investment built a team that has lasted almost 10 years I'm still optimistic that were on the right track to become a force in Europe again.
  18. Seems to be so much negativity, were still top of the league and until city win their though games well stay up there. The performances haven't been great and the result has been coming for a while, we do look poor going forward but 14 unbeaten shows we've been managing to get through this dip in form. I am still reluctant to say we're going to win the league, I do think we are a little bit short but let's not forget how poor the last few seasons have been in the league, its progress and its welcomed by me. Stability with Jose will build us back to what we were under him the first time, it might just take a little bit longer this time. Lets be honest the only reason we've been talked about as potential champions is Mourhino, our squad is definitely not good enough this season and winning the league would be one of jose's best achievements. I think we will recover from this and still feel this season is far from being over
  19. Game over, massive massive win, puts so much pressure on us later on, city really are title favourites for me
  20. He is definitely the best they have and will be missed, but I put that down to how poor their other options are
  21. Hulls best chance was to hold on, that goal is terrible for their chances, can't see them scoring
  22. Watching the city game and I find myself proven right, really poor defending there. I might make more statements if they come off like that one... Chelsea to win every remaining game
  23. I'm hearing a lot more about how he is the best CB in the world, I honestly don't think so at all, I think he is massively overrated and wouldn't even give him the best in the prem, just wanted to get other people's opinions?
  24. Heard we've got a under 14s superstar who's gonna make a big impact in a couple of league cups games before a few average loan spells and an eventual sale to a league abroad. Can't wait
  25. If we didn't have CL in the week I'd say etoo but maybe Ba can do something, I think it's too late on in the season to be messing around with new formations, forget trying false 9 at such a late stage,I think it's a good option for next season but if its not broke...
