  1. I'd take Muller over Ronaldo.
  2. Spartak Moscow's doctor Viktoryia Gameeva is clearly an adequate replacement if she does leave.
  3. Costa's technical ability is underrated. There's nothing to complain about. If you want to discuss his antics, that's a different issue. Falcao scoring was big for his confidence. I thought he had the right mindset and made good runs and decisions with the ball once subbed on. That being said, I don't think we should be trying a 4-4-2. I don't think we're the right team for that, as it'd require Hazard to be much further back than he would like to be.
  4. He's got to play against Everton, assuming Oscar is still not healthy. If Willian starts that game, I'll be severely depressed. Put Kenedy on the left, Hazard in the middle, and Pedro on the right. His pace, his power, his footwork, his workrate, has been phenomal in that one preseason game against Barcelona, and also in the 15 or so minutes against Palace. He must have been consistently good in training for him not to be loaned out as well. I really hope that Mourinho goes along with the words of his post match pressers, and is willing to give some run to the guys like RLC, Baba, and Kenedy. They could be the difference makers for us this season. Obviously, if Oscar is healthy, my starting 3 in AM would be Hazard - Oscar - Pedro or Pedro - Hazard - Oscar, but still - we need something changed from the past three matches, and he could be that gamebreaking talent we've lacked so far this season.
  5. Again, not a bad buy, not a bad player. I just don't think think it's the RIGHT buy.
  6. I expect things to happen then. For me the issue is that, unlike city did to us last season, we will find it hard to close that gap by then. We have little room for error rest of the season.
  7. It's my mistake. He turns 28 in January. He's 27.
  8. He's actually a good defender. The problem for me with the transfer, is that he is 28. The second rate league stuff is nonsense when referring to a central defender. Adjusting to a different league, that is a better way to put it. Squad player, not a bad buy, but not the right buy.
  9. The chances of us getting Verratti are literally ten times lower than getting Pogba. PSG will keep players hostage as long as their contract is with them. I remember reading Verratti would only go to Barcelona and that would be a perfect fit after Iniesta leaves.
  10. I think for me, pogba is a necessity because we're not rumored with anyone else. Like, I have no expectation that pogba is a chelsea player, but we need world class players to compete with city.. and right now there's only two rumors for us that both seem longshots at this point.. Chelsea should sacrifice Willian for Pogba in any deal if it'll push it through.
  11. So uhh.. Zhang Linpeng?
  12. Happy to see anything Vancouver related posted when I check this thread. I think the travel itself sucks, but when you look at the schedule.. it's very favorable. The away games we play, Porto is surrounded by Newcastle and Southampton. Kyiv away is surrounded by Villa and West ham. Maccabi away is surrounded by Bournemouth and Leicester. That was the worry for me when I initially saw the draw - the fear of possibly having to play in Ukraine or Israel three or four days before playing one of Liverpool or Arsenal, etc.
  13. That's a worrying issue if Brana is playing RB again. For some reason I thought it was usually two days before matches
  14. Specifically in midfield is the issue. That team today looked lost because they didn't have their engine in Vidal and the guy who settled their offensive game in Pirlo. Ramires can be an engine guy, not close to the quality of Vidal but still. They still wouldn't have a Pirlo, which is why I think they're going to buy an attacking midfielder and that they've bid on a couple already. Morata is f**king awesome, people don't understand this. I didn't understand the Mandzukic buy because they need width to make the crosses to him in the box. Cuadrado loan made sense so they can now utilize 4-3-3 when they want Mandzukic. Not to mention Dybala. I don't think losing Tevez will be that big a blow. Chiellini with Bonucci is a top 3 CB pairing in the world. They need to fix their midfield.
  15. Verratti in my opinion is the best young central midfielder in the world. Over james, over De Bruyne, over Pogba. PSG won't sell probably even if he demands to leave.
  16. @FutbolSergi 56m56 minutes ago Mourinho told Chelsea officials that Pogba is a must after today's game against WBA. A new bid expected soon. ?@FutbolSergi 56m56 minutes ago I'm also told Mourinho still wants to sign a CB. John Stones still on Chelsea's agenda. @FutbolSergi 51m51 minutes ago Needless to say, this doesn't mean Pogba is off to Chelsea, nor Stones is. But Mourinho is obstinate and wants both.
  17. It's what we all think, yes. But you always have to hope that it's true when a player of his immense talent is rumored to come.
  18. The problem will stem from us playing with the pivot formation. What we need to be doing if he comes is playing a 4-3-3 with Matic holding Hazard - Costa - Pedro Pogba - Fabregas Matic
  19. https://vine.co/v/eD3huZTZlXJ decreased his value by 20m, minimum.
  20. For me Tibo - 7, Dave - 8, Terry - 6, Zouma - 8, Ivan - 5 (But needs to GO), Matic - 5, Fabregas - 4, Willian - 3, Pedro - 10, Hazard 7, Costa 8 Cahill 7 - wonderful once he came on. Mikel 6 - 6 is average, he did his job. Falcao 6 - same as mikel.
  21. Rondon is a very good player and a very good buy. It was smart of him to go down, but I wouldn't have given the foul because in that scenario it HAS to be a red and since he dove, I wouldn't have called it. Okay on chelsea: Please, no more Ivanovic at right back. Willian needs to be coming on the pitch when we're winning games so that Oscar can play centrally and finish things and pass the ball better. Today you all saw what a winger with end product can do, unlike Willian. Terry hadn't been good the first two games, but I thought he was good today until the foul which will not help him gain favor with Mourinho considering how awesome and in control Zouma was today. I'm not a big Cahill fan, but Cahill was very good once substituted on. Fabregas needs to sort his sh*t out. A lot of people have been criticizing Matic, but other than the stupid decision on the penalty, I thought he's been good for the three games. Diego was Diego today. Once again, +1 for Zouma.
  22. While I agree with you that daily star is trash, the multitude of sources that reported we initially bid 50m suggests to me that we really are interested. I don't think, based on that initial bid, that it is out of the realm that we up that bid. I don't think he leaves Juventus this season either, but I do believe that we will infact bring our bid up regardless of how trash daily express and star are Also in the 1% chance we do pull him, I'd play 4-3-3 with Matic holding and Fabregas playing the advanced role with Pogba.
