As you say, probably never going to happen (swaps very, very rarely do; Zlatan <-> Eto'o being an exception), just an interesting hypothetical. Would be interesting if there was an additional fee to be paid one way, i.e. who is worth more?

Hopefully Guus plays JT and Zouma together for the rest of the season. A settled partnership will really help us.

Wright is a complete fool of a man, Shearer is not much better. Can't believe Matic didn't at least hit the target, but happy enough with the point. Palace next will be a challenge.

Pathetic and predictable the way MOTD just glossed over Rooney's horrific lunge. If that had been Costa, they'd be having a field day, but cause it's England captain Wayne they defend him and make light of it.

Most of the names were booed when the line up was read. Very strange atmosphere today.

Still can't quite believe Jose is gone. We all knew it was coming, but doesn't make it any easier. The right decision? Probably, yes, being as pragmatic as possible.. But what can we salvage from this season? An FA Cup at the absolute best? Makes no difference if you finish 8th or 16th; top 4 was, and is, gone. The players are the underlying problem at this club. A temporary shift in form will not ever redeem what they did to Jose, and will not get us back to the top of the prem.

As much as we all love Jose, he is not bigger than the club and we must not let today's events stop us from supporting the club on Saturday.

It was clear things weren't going to turn around and that either the players or Jose had to go. Unfortunately, there's only ever going to be one winner in that battle. I'm absolutely gutted, but can't blame Roman. As painful as it is it say it, it's the correct decision. I hope tribute is paid to him by the fans on Saturday, and I'm certain it will, but at the same time, we must get behind the team and the Club we all love (as disgusted as many of us should be by the players right now). Things may improve, but I don't see it being by much. These players don't have the leadership and personality to dig us out.

You can't criticise Abramovich on this occasion, the players are the ones to blame.

Watching him win the league with Utd will be a painful day. Nothing can be salvaged from the season, other than the FA Cup.

I was in the West Stand Lower for the Porto game (normally Matthew Harding Lower, but missed the initial sale) and it's beyond a joke how many tourists were in there. Just another item on the itinerary to tick off, while many real fans miss out because of cost. I've actually heard from some Championship club supporting mates of some extortionate prices down there too.

In a perverse way, I'd quite enjoy a season in the Championship...
