Posted January 16, 20169 yr Don't quite know how we pulled that one out, an offside backheel from Terry in the 98th minute?  I'm still delirious but we have an even tougher test next week. Hazard potentially back? Our last game vs Arsenal was one of the few times this season that I can say we genuinely played expansive, attacking football throughout, even before their red card despite what everyone may lead you to believe - but we must play a lot better than today in many ways if we're to come with a result, particularly defensively. That killer instinct we exhibited after Everton's second goal should be there from the get go really.  Thoughts on the lineup?

January 16, 20169 yr We're still unbeaten and Arsenal in a poor form. January 17, 20169 yr Defence is really bothering now. So slow paced when defending ( Zouma's quick but still has a ton to learn) and ineffective when supporting the attack because of the obvious, a CB plays at RB and a RB at LB. Don't know if Baba is that poor. Anyways hope we hold tight vs Le Arse and maybe sneak a goal to make Mr Whinger rant about our play at the end of the game. Always loved those.
January 17, 20169 yr I doubt Giroud will be much of an issue ... Terry/Zouma/Cahill usually deal with a player of his type. Its Ozil etc that we need to think about. In many ways, though, we know that Arsenal like to play like we do with a lot of passing, so if our pressing game is good, we can bully them. Also, keep it simple in attack. Fabregas has found his passing boots, and those long balls to Costa or Remy will push their defence down.  Key is really, again again, whether Ivan can be expected to defend. I mean, Everton were literally walking through on the left in our last match. Arsenal will be piling everything into him again. Be sure of it.  Definitely think we can nick it.  I think Hiddink will set up like he did yesterday, but I really do hope Kenedy gets a go instead of Pedro (assuming Hazard is still out), and would love to see a Fabregas/RLC midfield, but it won't happen.Â

January 17, 20169 yr Mourinho is no longer in charge, so maybe not. You know the outrage that comes when a ref finally gives something in our favour. Arsenal are lucky they are the first game after it and will benefit from it. First defeat second time around for guus I fear.
January 17, 20169 yr Usually playing counter attacking game against arsenal is pretty efective, they have a habit of breaking down when they fail to break down opposition..Â
