January 22, 201610 yr Id like to see Mikel on for this one, i can see him stopping and recycling a lot of their attacks allowing us to keep the pressure up.
January 22, 201610 yr I don't see the need for Chelsea to be defensive in the remaining premier league matches this season, focus have to be attack attack, we can't get relegated neither can we make top 4 by sitting back every single f**king time. Its either 3 points or notin for me, 1 point is useless for us Edited January 22, 201610 yr by Davak
January 22, 201610 yr Id like to see Mikel on for this one, i can see him stopping and recycling a lot of their attacks allowing us to keep the pressure up. Hope you are right. Form wise you can't argue that he is better than Matic currently. However, I fear that rather than stopping & recycling Arsenal attacks, their players may be skipping past him just as the likes of Barkley & Mirallas did last week. We need a massive defensive performance from All this Sunday and just hope we can do enough going forward to cause them some issues so we aren't under constant threat.
January 22, 201610 yr 'More from Cobham and Guus Hiddink also said that says Eden Hazard has trained fully over the last few days and is available for selection. In addition, Diego Costa hasn't been able to train much this week but is also available for selection.'
January 22, 201610 yr With that in mindThe team I would pick is - Courtois-Ivan - Zouma - Terry - Azpi - Mikel - Ramires - FabregasWillian - Hazard - Costa -The team i think will play - Courtois-Ivan - Zouma - Terry - Azpi Mikel - Fabregas Willian - Oscar - Hazard - Costa -And I reckon a 2-0 win with a toothless Arsenal rolling on to their belly like they always do.
January 22, 201610 yr I am expecting Ivanavich to be well up for this match and give a real spirited fighting performance, considering his confidence has been massively boosted by having just been given a 6 million pounds contract extension. I bet a few months ago he probably thought he had no chance of getting a contract extension, which must have affected him. but he will need massive help from our midfielders ! I'd like to see him swinging on the Arsenal crossbar at the end of the match celebrating a double league win over em ! LoL

Even with help from midfield, just adds more confusion/ball watching imo, and will make Zouma's role even harder. I just hope that extension is for CB cover. If we really can't trust Baba at LB (two managers can't be wrong, surely...) then I'd rather have Ramires at RB... Hey, it works well on FIFA so surely that means something... He's quick, agile, decent standing and slide tackling, and his heavy touch might even get himself to the byline a few times. Did a job there at Camp Nou in 12, too. Court Ramires-Zouma-Terry-Azpi Matic(Oscar)-Mikel-Fabregas Willian-Costa-Hazard Why not? Then again, who would best close Ozil down? If we don't, it'll be tough viewing.
January 22, 201610 yr Or maybe now he knows he's got another year, he'll relax and be even worse, If Hazard doesnt pick up considerably between now and the end of next season, Real Madrid (and quite possibly Chelsea), wont be interested in him. Edited January 22, 201610 yr by Zola
January 22, 201610 yr Diego Costa to start and come off in the first 30 minutes with a re-injury of the same one that took him off in the last game. After that we either bring on someone like kenedy to keep the pressure up or we make hazard a striker and lose the game.
January 22, 201610 yr Wenger has said he's worried about a Sanchez setback so he won't be starting at least.

After that we either bring on someone like kenedy to keep the pressure up or we make hazard a striker and lose the game. I don't want Costa injured, but heaven forbid if that did happen let's hope he's had time to score. I haven't felt this anxious for some time.
January 22, 201610 yr i honestly think we should let them worry about us, we may not be at our best but we certainly have the players to hurt them, lets just hope that they are up for it

We need a massive defensive performance from All this Sunday and just hope we can do enough going forward to cause them some issues so we aren't under constant threat. That is what i am worried about. He has to start ahead of Matic because Matic has been dreadful all season, but the way players skipped by him against Everton is a worry. Arsenal's players are quicker and more skillful, i can see them do the same. Hopefully Mikel can have another performance like he had against Palace.
January 23, 201610 yr Just seen Clattenburg is the ref , we will have to be extra good to beat them........2-0 blues!
January 23, 201610 yr i thought the match was tonight, waiting for sunday games always felt like eternity for some reason
January 23, 201610 yr A sad reflection on our season that we've become a side that "can be expected to rise to the occasion " - that's what you say about average sides who step up when playing a "big" club. That's what this group of players have turned into this year. From champions to nobodies in 6 months. I fear the worst, it's becoming good to be really pessimistic. That way if we do get something out of a game it's a pleasant surprise.
January 23, 201610 yr Cech's Arsenal gloves were delivered to Chelsea, he had to pop by for them. It's a sign. Guus told him he'd greased them!
