  1. apart from some visiouc shots and stunning goals, I don't think Pedersen brings much tot he table. Certainly not anything enough to warrant going for him Scott

he is the one summer signing i am excited about. I am also somewhat excited about Kalou, but his first touch looks clumsy at times, and his close control doesn't seem to be as good. Also, Pauly, I think that the competition you saw him in would have been the African Cup of Nations, or even the Qualifiers for the World Cup. THere was a bit of fire added to the "Obi to Chelsea" rumours when he as seen talking to Drogba after a match. I also feel he should be in the team agead of Ballack right now Scott

a huge huge l;et off for us and the title chances. Although unless we reinforce, or get some players back (any news on robben?) I still think we are not good enough to win it this season Scott
  4. well folks, I hope you all witness the mother of all comebacks for us in teh second half, but there is nothing installing confidence in me in this game. Our back 4 are makeshift at best, our mid are underperforming, and our summer signings are letting us down. i am back off to bed! Have a good one
  5. I think we could even go 3 at teh back, and bring essien into the mid and then sheva on for the 2nd half too
  6. not meaning to single him out, but frank has been anonymous this game
  7. could someone please throw rotten tomatoes at Cole everytime he tries a long ball from flank to flank...just a waste time and time again
  8. I know, that was sheer greed. It isn't wycombe
  9. we've been bossing them for the past wee while, but no end product. At least teh mousers are somehwat off-the-boil now. Wouldn;t be bad if we could get it to 2-1 at half time, would at least stop me from going back to bed!
  10. not much keeping me aawake, that is true. If it is like this at the half, then it might be a wise move as I work later today adn am running on about 3 hours sleep. Scott
  11. oh, and be prepared, barring the mother of all comebacks, to have the mousers herald this as the start of their new era. Coming on here saying that they will take everything.....next year!
  12. unfortunatley this is very true. A back 4 made up of 3 wide defenders and a midfielder, a mid with ballack and mikel, and Drogs up front on his own. And I got up at 0430AM to watch this! Scott
  13. rafa pncing around like they deserved to score. This is terrible, if this stay the score line, or at least result, we can kiss the title hopes goodbye. Our defence is shokingly make-shift, and the way the team are playing right now, I can't see us scoring 3...ever! Scott
  14. oh no!!!!!!!!! Not teh start we wanted, and I can't see this being the only one they score....we have to score again soon. My BPL is now, officially, out the window!
  15. Glad to see Cech back! However, hating not seeing maka, or carvs, on thre. Essien has to step up to the plate today, and Mikel better give the performance of a lifetime. I can't see us not conceding Scott
  16. yeah that was a gripe too, sorry I just get so focused on Spy;s antics. I was dissapointed that I never saw any matches on CTV from before the Prem. Also, they only seemed to show the Carling CUp matches once, the night they were played, adn then not much after that. They did have some good old premiership matches though scott
  17. well, my BPL is submitted Cech Geremi Paulo Carvalho A COle Essien Ballack Lamps Kalou Robben Drogs hedman, mikel, sheva, SWP, bridge and a close 0-1 win to us, with Drogs again scoring the only goal!
  18. I don't see any difference in Cech wearing this, or others wearing protective gear to protect their nose (can't remember who, but wasn't some villa or arse player doing this a season or so back? Or what about Davids wearing his eyeglasses? Scott
  19. I had it while Iw as home, and it was good. I liked the ressies, and the old games, they were good. Live from Sb was okay, but to me the thing that chapped me was Neil Barnett;s incessant put downs of people who may have gotten a fact/date/scoreline slightly wrong. Okay, I knwo the man is a wealth of Chelsea knowledge, a Chelsea almanac if you will, but not everyone has his knowledge of the blues. It is his job to know these things. So when a caller phoned in to make a valid point, it riled me that "spy" would fuc*ing interupt them constantly to correct a date, ro a poitn about what they were saying. Other than that it was certainly a lot cheaper than trying to make it to teh Bridge from Scotland every month Scott
  20. I think it would be great to have him and Terry come back at the same time, as John would break legs to make sure no one got near Cech. However, I am suprised that he is back so soon. When I read the initial reports I felt (albeit maybe an over reaction) that he may never play again, and if he did it wouldn't be until next season. I am glad he is back, but I really hope he is fully fit. however far behind we may be, and however bad we are missing him, I don't think the backroom staff would allow petr to come back unless he was 100% ready to play. By all accounts he is. I just hope some scouse twa* doesn't go in for a 50-50 and leave their leg in, just to "welcome him back." Scott
  21. I think it is obvious that he wants to stay, it is more a questino as to whether or not the backroom shenannigans can be sorted out. I don't think Jose suffers fools gladly, so I can't see him hanging around to be made a fool of Scott
  22. folk,s all this is, to some extent, reminding me of the press earlier season Lampard. Honestly, because Frank wasn't on form as he had been in the last couple of seasons, it was his fault. He regains form, so the press need someone else to attack. Now this time around it becomes Sheva. He scored so much before, and now he isn't so it is all his fault. Oh, and he talks Russian. well, no need to give into the logic of translatin, we should just assume he is talking sh*t about his team mates, and telling Roman who to get to replace Jose in order to allow him to perform. I am so glad he has grasped some of the finer intricacies of the english language...."it's Bullsh*t" Scott
  23. well this could mean that we are bringing back johno, but if we are, then what the hell is Paulo thinking now!!?
  24. Gears of War was'nt my cup of tea at all.. Graphics are very slick, but all to repetitive. Was'nt keen on the controls and running style either. I did'nt play it for long though, so maybe it gets better. I suppose if Resident Evil is your bag, then you will definately like it. All depends on what Res Evil your talking about. There have been some good ones, but outbreakw as abismal!
  25. whatever you do, do not be fooled into petting any of the loveable ducks that you may encounter while roaming the liverpool streets Scott
