Good songs by bands you hate...
stereophonics is a great shout, but I can't stand that Dakota song. Bar tender and the theif is their one song for me, but they are very average I never got into teh happy mondays much either, I just couldn't stand the non singing of Shaun Ryder and found bez pointless (isuppose that was part of their charm). But kinky afro is great "son I'm 30 I only got with your mum coz she's dirty" is a trememndous lyric, and never even bothered with black grape Iain brown's solo stuff, i feel, isn't that good either, and was never into "FEAR" but quite liked MY Star (except for the astronaut talking in the middle of the song). Queen have some great singles but never really got into them, but I like most of their singles. Flash will always conjure up visions of Brian Blessed in shorts and a bird uniform!! Travis, where do I start. The man who was initially a great album, but when they came out with the invisible band, it was just more of the same crap! But there are some stand out tracks on the man who, their first album was pretty ordinary also. Libertines. even though they were produced by former clash member Mick Jones (i think) they never really did anything for me. Probably because pete doherty, to me, is a twat! Horrorshow is a decent track though I'm sure I can come up with more, but that will do for now

Police to Reform ?
me too Val, and to eb honest it is more appealing that the thought of sting parading around, re-hashing classics, probably with someone from africa or the amazon up on stage with him! Anyway, I doubt it will happen, sting is too egomeniacal, and too into his solo projects (wasn't his last cd about 18th century poems?) to re strap his bass and belt out "walking on the moon" Scott

Liverpool
also, if rafa is worth any money, he will attack us strongly, as our defence is our weakest point of the team right now! They may even come out 4-3-3

Liverpool
2 sweet waffle, good point

so, sunday...
O right. Nice one, but obviously wasted on me. In that case..............Lets string him up! Anyway, Anfield isn't the fortress it used to be and i'm sure we'll come away with the 3 points. UP THE CHELS! tremendous attitude man, lets stuff the scousers

Steve Clark
personally I think he is the ying to mourinho's yang!

Liverpool
a 4-4-2 with wingers, will never happen. Kalou and Robben don't exactly tackle well, and this will over expose our full backs a,d put too much pressure on lamps and ballck

The most disappointing Chelsea XI of all time...
well we have already covered ambrosetti, and the rest you talk of never really had much expectations of them. I think that is what the main point was, who has been the biggest disappointment, in that we had soooooo much expectations of them, but they failed to deliver. Jokanovic, nor Gronkjaer really had much expected of them

hleb says sheva is doomed

The most disappointing Chelsea XI of all time...
of course, was almost going to put him in there, and started thinking Pannucci and couldn't get past that Italian name. Bench for sure Scott

Pearce quoted silly money for SWP
I blame us for buying him in the first place Scott

Paulo Ferreira - a Chappie or a Sharon Wood
Well, he isn't as good as Chappie, but I think he is up there. I thik he can be clumsy at times, but no where near the extent of Percy, and he's in the team week in week out. I also think his confidence has to be shot to bits, so give him a run in the team, and he will do well. His crossing can be a bit gronks in style, but I think he reads the game better than Njeitap. I have always been a fan of Paulo, so to me, he is a Chappie-ish type of player Scott

The most disappointing Chelsea XI of all time...
can;t look much past you team there MikeO. Sutton, huge dissapointment. Veron, I rest my case. Ballack and Sheva, when it comes to expectation, there was none greater. You could put de lucas in there, but honestly, where was the expectation. Would anyone put Weah in there team? Scott

Liverpool
Okay, the start of the week that could be the start of our premiership defense, or it could be the week that sees it all go up in smoke. I think 9 points at this point means we can take the Trophy with us to anfield and drop it into OT on the way home! Anyway, will we see Cech back, will we see Terry back? I fu**ing hope so! That would be just the boost the travelling fans would love to see, infact the type of boost we would all love to haev for such a game. Liverpool Chelsea matches have been great encounters in recent memory, so I think this could be the same. I think it will be lose, and depending on who the ref is (has that been announced yet?) I can see one team not ending with all starters. So, realistically, who do you expect to start? I think cech might be back, eh is training at 100 percent, and even at 0 percent bust be better than Hilario. Also, I think Bridge and Robbenworked so well together that we MUST start both of them line up, for me ...............................cech Geremi.............PF...........Percy............Bridge ............................Essien .............Ballack.................Lamps Kalou.................................................Robben ...........................Drogs I think Pf will start in the middle because of makas suspension ruling essien into the defensive midfield. I also think it is too big a game for Morais to come in. I also hope we add width, and I hope makas absence means we are forced to do so. I would loathe us to start with a diamond with mikel and ballack in it. Anyway, COME ON THE CHELS, bring on scoucers by the score (by the score) Scott

Loud and Proud, he's is a man u fan, Lox just gave him the new avatar..classic. Anyway, back to the topic in hand. Can we beat Liverpool, yes. Will we beat liverpool? I never feel easy going up there. Our games lately have been SO 50-50 that it is tough to call. In the premiership, in recent years, I think we have the upper ahnd slightly. however, Anfield is a great place for you lot to play. I expect it to be close, and I doubt all 11 will end the game. If we have Cech back, then that will be great, if we have terry back (unlikely) it will be even better. And if we play with some width with Robben playing as hungrily (is that even a word) as he did against wigan, then I think we MAY squeek the win. I am actually glad Garcia is out, as he is a palyer that worried me at times, he can turn from rubbish to sublime in the blink of an eye, and those players always worry me, like JP Angel, and Di Cannio. Eto'o reaction
great goal, great reaction from Eto'o who shouts "puta" when the ball goes in. Even better reaction though, is from Terry. I remember this being shown when the game first ended, and it still brings a smile to my face these days. Just shows how instrumental terry is!

BBC2 Tonight: The Story of Black Popular Music
must've been a condensed version if they showed all that tonight. the one I saw was a ood few weeks long with about an hour devoted to each era of music. Good viewing nonetheless Scott

bbc goal of the month
completely agree, I would put it between the two of them. Scholes had an acre of space, granted, but he also took control from a great height! Essien's was a tremendous effort too with great spin control to bend it into the gooal like that....I also think Essien's at the time and against who it was against, may have pipped it for me!
