mad_mac Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 oh dear, does this mean we are going to have to put up with more of posh on the tv!
clubhappy Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 oh dear, does this mean we are going to have to put up with more of posh on the tv! Who do you think influenced his decision ?
mad_mac Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I don't know, just call it a hunch. Man even the celeb mags in teh states are claiming that it would have been Posh who decided where to go! Scott
Loud and Proud Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Back page of the Times says Beckham will be on ?75,000 a day. Just say that to yourselves again................?75,000 a DAY

sweet waffle Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Back page of the Times says Beckham will be on ?75,000 a day.Just say that to yourselves again................?75,000 a DAY I'd just about manage to get by on that amount.
matt_hill_01 Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Wasn't the money though -- he wants to bring soccer to the states. Yeah right. Although the Scientology / Galaxy link might be a something to look out for
Guest Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 You can't blame him for going but to say he wants footie to take off more in the States is a load of cr**. His wife wears the trousers, he wears the sarong - end of.
The Moos Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Just a matter of time before we see Beckie jump on Oprahs couch.
mad_mac Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 the deal is reported to be WORTH $250 million. Now that is in wages and Endorsements, not just wages. Either way it is huge Scott
Maksimov Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Weren't they supposed to have a wagecap in American sports? Or maybe they do and Becks is just getting his signing on fee paid in monthly installments.
loz Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Looks like he is going to have plenty of time to do some house hunting! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/6259063.stm Anyone expect to see him do a 6 month stint in ENgland? Personally I think he should take the opportunity to prepare himself for the MLS season and make sure he is there for the April kick off. He is being rewarded handsomely for being there so should show a willingness to bend over backwards to meet expectations.
Guest Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 cappello said he wont play for madrid again, abit harsh in my opinion they should just release him from his contract and give him time to settle in america has from what i gather hes going to be thrown straight into the start of the MLS season when european clubs are taking their summer breaks'

You heard it from me first
Enrico Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Let's loan him till April when the MLS starts.
BackInBlue Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Let's loan him till April when the MLS starts. and play him as CB???
alx_chelsea Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 Let's loan him till April when the MLS starts. Forget About beckham, we doont need hin, Do we??
mad_mac Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Let's loan him till April when the MLS starts. Forget About beckham, we doont need hin, Do we?? I don't mean to say anything negative, but NO
Guest Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 If only he was signed to the crew...*sighs* I personally think that's A LOT of money but I do think it's going to be a huge boost to MLS over here. I know I'm going to the game when he plays Columbus.
mad_mac Posted February 4, 2007 Posted February 4, 2007 to Boo him loudly, I trust. honestly though I am reserved as to how much he will promote the MLS, and not just himself
