Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
well that was sh*t, and to be honest, the gap between sahar and the first team seems apparent, and that was on a night when everyone was rubbish! I can't honestly think of one positive, other than bridge who battled for the cuase, to talk about in tonights game. Even frank looked less of a player tonight! Scott PS, well done Wycombe. At least we got them to come to the bridge, and they did play tonight as if their lives depended on it, I just wish I could say the same about Chelsea

Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
maka is giving posession away a hell of a lot lately, and in a way I am glad (based solely on his current form) that he will not be playing Liverpool. Ballack keeps looking for the short give and go passes, but no one is making any runs for him. we realy miss Cole Terry and Cech Scott

Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
but I don't see us getting 5 more this half. I really thought we would win this 2-0, and NOT concede. I don't think this bodes well for the run in the premiership, and especially not for the CL. We really don't have a recognized goalscorer on the field, and yes essien lost his man there, but he is a midfielder. He played like a midfielder there (leaving his man too much space, sropping back from the line of defenders, and it const us) Thankfully this is a two legger!

Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
barring injuries to any player, I feel that we will now see a midfield 3 against the scallyban of ballack lamps and essien. MAybe play 4-3-3. Strange that maka should play tonight when we all knew that a yellow for him and he would be out of the scoucers game. Or can we wait till after the scallies for the ban to kick in? OR can we make him miss the wigan game, and then have him for the scallies. That would be good to have maka, cech, robben adn terry all in the team for the trip to binfield! Scott

Wycombe [A] - Carling Cup Semi - Final 1st Leg
There is a comet, really? Wonder if there will be anyone starting a cult and then having them commit mass suicide whilst wearing Nikes. Anyway, the game is not too bad so far, and we have looked okay considering the team/formation we have had to put out. However, we do not want to ahve them come into the 2nd leg thinking they have a chane, we need another goal in the 2nd half

Would they be in your ultimate fighting team?
abismal, the first right hook showed promise, but the rest....well all I can ask is; where were the handbags? And, what was that little side tap excuse for a headbutt? If he had really gone after that one, he would have sparked himself out...leading with teh temple? ::Headbutt:: Scott

You know what we're missing?
sorry coco, wan't talking about your references in particular, just stating that we miss Joe Cole, as we don't really have anyone on the bench right now, who I feel, can come on and change a game. Maka off for Mikel doesn't stir as much emotion in me as say maka off for Joey Scott

Your Youngsters
a fw of us have been ondering why jose seems reluctant to play any of our youngsters. SOme of us feel that jose has his favourites, and will play them regardless of their performances. There are a few players who we simply can't play without, and then there is the fact that maybe the juniors are not quite premiership grade. I would expect to maybe see a couple come through in the summer, give them a run out in the pre season, and see if they are good enough. I also think that it may be too late in the season to throw youngsters in now as they don't have any premiership experience let alone experience chasing dowm a resurgent Man u. This is why I expect, this season, for us to loan someone with top tier experience Scott

Movies and all it includes
hey, I had the original Trans Formers movie, adn it was GREAT. Tremendous pop-quiz question, it was actually Orson Welle's last movie....he played the gigantic planet that went around eating other planets. Scott

Music cover versions - where the cover improves the original
I thought Prince actually wrote it for Sinead O'Connor rather than he released it then she covered it. Is that not the case? Nothing Compares was a Prince Jam song with Rosie Gaines (IMMENSE Voice) at one of his so-called "private" jam parties that just happened to be rehearsed to within an inch of it's life AND recorded. It was then included on the double CD release of singles and hits and others. The Prince/Rosie Gaines version is massive and, when I get selected, will be one of my desert island discs. I got to agree with loads of the above opinions, and disagree with quite a few, but I need to get cutting and pasting for a considered response, so that will have to wait a while Kev PS - My wife covers First Cut and does it way better than ANY other version. I'll post it when she gets it on her myspace so you all can judge for yourselves well there you go!

we got forest at home
steady, a good draw, and a good chance to progress, but this, to forrest will be like their cup final! Will be a hectic, brutal, toiugh match Scott

You know what we're missing?
I have mentioned elsewhere, but will mention it again, we are really missing joe cole, he was the one, solid, consitant link between our midfield and the strikers. I don't think we should be looking to replace Joe, I think we should be looking for another ike him. Robben is inconsistant, and injury prone, and sweepy just ain't doing it. Another player like Joe would be great Scott

Kaka...
70 million? Anyway, I think kaka is a great player and secondly I don't think we should entertain the idea of signing him just to "suit sheva." I think we should sign a palyer to suit Chelsea, but unfortunatley, he doesn't seem to suit Chelsea's style of play, therefore, I doubt we will go for him. Also, changing an entire team's system just to suit kaka is a joke too....where would that leave the spirit of the rest of the players, there would be a few people wondering why the hell they were never accomodated ofr. All that having been saud, I still think he is a great player, and would love to think of a Chelsea Team with him in it, but I just cannot see it happening Scott

The next fortnight
could be the most important weekend so far! However, we need to win against Wigan first

I second, or third the motion that if you have not seen Deer Hunter, you should. City of God is great also, but do not watch either of them if you are feeling in any way suicidal. Shawshank is a great film too, not too much to think about but a great story. I thought silence of the lambs, gladiator, and sixth sense were all cr*p! I mean, i honestly felt like standing up about 20 minutes into the film (sixth sense) and saying "for god's sake people, Willis's character is dead!" The book/film debate will forever be argued, as a book allows you to use your imagination, whereas a film shows you the directors interpretation of thier reading of the book. Kubrik, though manages to stay well within the realms set by the books he develops. Just watched Little Miss Sunshine, and thought it was good Scott

Music cover versions - where the cover improves the original
(I sit and watch) As time goes by, Marriane faithful. Police and Theives, The Clash. Street Fighting Man, The faces (tie) Helter Skelter, U2 (tie) The man who sold the world, Nirvana (tie) Renegades of Funk, Rage against the Machine How can you mend a broken heart, Al Green (so much better than the brothers gibb) Summertime Blues, The Who Joe Cocker, A little help from my friends (as much as I love the Beatles) Sinnead O'Connor, Nothing Compares to You. Original was by Prince. Led Zepplin, in some of their live gigs did blues songs that brought together some of their songs and other classics, so some of them were great. Seen Oasis do Neil Youngs hey hey, my my, with Noel singing, and it was pretty good too! Scott

Music cover versions - where the cover improves the original
it's BS , the song in question is Yesterday, which has some pretty good versions. Boys to Men actually did ana capella version that was tremendous. Also agree that any other version of Love Will Tear us apart just could never hold a candle Scott

Your Youngsters
emm you, our club has stated several tiems this season that we hope to soon take a back seat in the transfer markets, stop being held to ransom simply because of our "dirty money" and bear the fruits of our youth system. This will not happen soon, but I bet we will have in a few years more youth team players that you lot will. I also bet you lot will have an american in the side to and still have the term Football taken from your shirt! Scott

You know what we're missing?
I would take kaka and Ronnie in aheart beat. A lot of people think that the premierhsip os SOOO fast and SOOO strong, but a lot of it is people running aimlessly around and then lunging into tackles because they don't have the skill to do anything else. I think Ronaldinho would take the p**s out of some of the teams in the premiership, adn he certainly brings some exctiement to teh game. However, we have Joe Cole...okay not for this season, but we wouldn't be able to play ronnie in the CL this season anyway, nor Kaka. But kaka would be great too. Hypothetically, if you could either 1) keep Essien, Lamps and Diarra and bring in Kaka and Ronnie, would you or 2) would you keep maka and ballack and hope that we come good? Scott
