  1. although true, this was the old 1st div. not the premiership
  2. the premiership, I don't think so. There has been times (blackburn I think) where it came down to the last games of the season, but never with top playing second in a winner-takes-all scenario
  3. a great goal, and I really hope that Jose was watching to see that tonight. A youth team player with prospect...salivating at the thought!

went for the same as your first choice in the BPL
  5. Good to hear. I remember the last time I was in teh Shed end. It was a League cup game against man utd, and we drew 0-0. Guddy had the ball in the net, but was flagged offside!. Anyway, that was back when they gave MHL and the lower East stand to the away fans. Well, teh shed was quiet, and the ManU fans took the P8ss. I was gutted. All that time I was lokoing forward to get to teh shed, and it wa a huge letdown. I usually sat in the Lower West. Anyone that sung in there that night looked out of place , but you could tell who the MHL displacees were! The only ones trying to sing, and songs other than Carefree. I think this is a great idea by the club and fans alike, I think it would be great to have a shed and an MHL that were in full voice. MIght even get teh east upper to sing once in a while. One question though, with teh shed upper being used for away fans, shoud we think about moving them again and getting the whole stand filled by chelsea? That way there would be two opposing ends of the starium filled with singing (hopefully) fans?? Scott
  6. unbiased post by Collins, and thanks for teh recognition of my post of Jose's interview. I was astounded that there had been 150+ views of it, and not one comment!
  7. same thing was written under a picture of girls aloud after one of them hit that chick in the eye at a nightclub, who was also black!!!
  8. Not sure if this has been on here already, but came across this beauty on youtube. This is the full interview with Jose after the c=hunt challenge on Petr. In it you can see Jose having a go about hunt laughing, and saying that the Carlo incident was bad luck. You also hear him talk about how he isn't suprised by ref's and pundit's opinnions on the incident, because they didn't card c-hunt for his challenge, but the carder ballack against liverpool, and not sossoko for a second bookable offence. You also hear the press reslly trying to get misquotes from jose, prying, digging into him, trying to get him to say what they want him to say. And also accusing him of being paranoid. You also get the feeling of how much Jose cares for his players. Jose must stay!!!! Anyway, enjoy Scott
  9. not a bad interview at all. I do notice though, that when he is asked about squabblings within the club he denies that there are any squabblings within the Team, but says nothing about the Club. I don't know if this is something lost in translation, but he definately says that the team are fine
  10. on the Ranieri note, there is no doubt that he brought the best out of a lot of out players...no one has mentioned Terry either. I think he wasa top man, a great person, someone you could easily build rapport with, and the media loved him. Yes, I will never forget seeing him with tears in his eyes against le @rse, but I also will never forget his debacle against monaco....some of the subs were flabberghasting, to say the least. The one thing with CR was that he did build a solid spine, and for that we can be forever thankfull. but on the other hand, he was never a winner. I think CR as an assistant coach could be a good move, for some other team, but they would need to partner him up with someone who knew how to get the job done!
  11. 2-0 to the y**os right now
  12. If the shoe fits, wear it! Anyway,I would love to get Tottenham! As L&P said, if you're Chelsea you hate Tottenham. And as BJD said, wea re still recovering losing to them on the 5th of November. I can't think of a better remedy than meeting all these hopefull little spud supporters at a cup final, and then handing it to them. Bring on Tottenham Scott
  13. well, if it happened at Porto when Jose left, can't we also safely assume that some players would do the same at Chelsea? I just think that Jose has a special bond with his players that not amny other managers do have. Once Jose left Porto, he took Carvs and Ferreira, easily. Who says he doesn't do the same if he leaves Chelsea. He has formed an unbelievable bond with some of the players at SB, and even terry said he was considering only signing a new contract with us IF jose stays. I think that you maybe underestimate the power that Jose has with his players. If Chelsea let Jose go, and he takes players with him, then the club should be held responsible I don't think this is Jose holding the club to ransom in any way, but I do think they need to respect the bond and camraderie Jose has built within the dressing room. It all looked good whenever we were leading, now we fall slightly behind, and their is suddenly pressure on Jose??? So now what? For every manager that comes in, if they don't deliver immediate succes, they are shown the door? Scott
  14. this is what I was getting at in another thread...is the backroom staff wranglings with Jose possibly going to cost us the heart of the team? If so, then the problem does not lie with Jose
  15. time for the title push. Not saying that we deserve it, but we totally can push for it with Cech adn terry back
  16. Okay, a quick question here about teh Jose Sheva relationship. Jose thinks he isn't playing well enough to be in the team, so keeps him out. Gets him running on sand, and partaking in special training while he is "injured" freexes him out some more. Press start touting that their relationship is frosty, Sheva denies this. Jose says he has to improve. Gives him about 10 minutes in a game that was already lost, and freexes him out some more Was this all tough love. Give him teh kick up the ar*e that he needed, and today you could see that Jose was genuinely pleased for him to score. So, was this man management by jose to get the ebst out of Sheva? I guess only time will tell
  17. I don't get it....I missed the second half but the bbc website says this Shevchenko came off with six minutes to go to a standing ovation from the Stamford Bridge crowd but there was still no handshake from Mourinho. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/footbal ... 282077.stm So did he or didn't he? yes they did shake hands. Almost in a medieval way gripping the wrists. Anyway, Clarke came out and gave him a hi-5 as he came off, jose remained in his seat. Then sheva puts his jacket on, walks over into the dugout, adn the first person to shake his hand was Jose...then Clarke, then the rest of the bench, then Clarke turns round and gives him a nod and a thumbs up. All looked friendly
  18. just like Di Matteo saying "sh*t" on tv when talking about Europe. You could tell it was wisey talking
  19. barak81 has been touting him for a while...also mentioned in the rumours page
  20. sorry about that Chippy, I feel partly responsible for bringing it up
  21. actually when Sheva went to teh bench, jose and clarke both gave him hearty hand shakes, and Clarke turned round to give him a nod and a thumbs up. Ballack was laughing as he came off, so didn't look like the boos were getting to him, regardless of who they were from. Also, maka has been getting booed a lot today. If it were teh home fans booing ballack today, I think it is NOT warranted, as he played very well today.
  22. sweepy, morais and kalou on. ballack cole and sheva off. Sheva applauds the stands, and then gets a high five from steve clarke. didn't see jose approach him at all....
  23. What odds you get...bet your ar*e is twitching like a rabbits nose evertime the ball enters our, or their, box
  24. Think ou are right, saw someone in the stands with a "jose Out" tee shirt on, concentrating on what looked like a scratch pad, with furrowed brow, scribbling away furiously, mouthing, "no, he can't be right" and seemingly stammering the words "negative, negative, negative," over and over Scott
  25. who was Jose waving too? Was sitting in teh dugout, and was looking at the pitch, but waving to one of the stands?
