Anthony definitely not biased against Chelsea Taylor.
That Alonso decision is one of the worst decisions I've ever seen by a referee. He actually gave that as a foul for Alonso... He got f**king speartackled in the box by the keeper who missed the ball. The ball fell flat on the floor, everyone in the stadium could see that it wasn't touched by anyone but that fat bell end in the black shirt who had the best view in the stadium. Luckily VAR came to the rescue, otherwise, that would've been a very embarrassing decision for him. Anthony Taylor reminds me of Chris Foy, another referee who clearly had an agenda against us.

Official Thomas Tuchel *Now Sacked*
Tuchel was called a mercenary, referred to as "Tommy Tactics" and people outright admitted they weren't interested in Chelsea or football when the Wolves game happened. I don't think those people would've shed a tear if we lost that game.

I don't know, I get that sentiment a lot on this forum to be honest. I think some are or at least were eager for him to fail for the sake of Frank.

Following our Nearest & Dearest Rivals 2020/21
Eh was he really their best player? Pep wasn't fussed on him, very rare played him. Sane is very talented, not sure what the beef was, but Pep clearly wasn't fussed on him. It's nowhere near the same as us losing Hazard who was touted on leaving for years prior to go to the big clubs in Spain. When does that ever happen to City? They have ridiculous leverage in the market.

Mateo Kovačić
I would say British bias but then they gave Werner MOTM lmao. I can't complain though, Werner needs it more than anyone right now.

The annoying narrative that teams aren't pressing us and just giving Jorginho all the time and space in the world is also rubbish and just used to undermine. Besides Wolves and Tottenham, every other team we've played against has come to play and exploit. Not sat back and played for a point or looked to just get us on the counter like a lot of teams did against Lampards Chelsea. As bad as Tottenham have been, and without Kane, people were still quite nervy before the game due to the magnitude of the derby. Look at Arsenal, look at the team they fielded at the time, how confident we were going into it and only to get whooped... There was a clear mental block or anxiety for us this season when it came to big games.

Chelsea v Newcastle (PL) Mon 15th Feb 2021 20:00 GMT
Probably, it's a tricky one because on one hand it looks like a good tackle, then on the other you can see that he gets Abraham before the ball. The other one with Werner for me was a definite penalty, soft, but it's a penalty. You're not supposed to puts your hands on other players like that, especially push them, a shoulder barge is allowed, but to physically push them like Jamal did. Especially when you see the size difference between them, Werner is a dot compared to him. Poor call from the referee that one.

Mateo Kovačić
I do think Kovacic has potential to be a very creative midfielder if he teeps taking the risks that he is, but when it comes to goals no chance. That's one thing we have to accept, you're not going to get many goals out of him sadly. The bloke just can't shoot to save his life.

Mason Mount
Not his best game today but I'm really coming around to Mason this season, especially lately. I found him very overrated last season (on this forum), now I'm starting to think he's very underrated.

We've definitely improved, easy fixtures or not, you can even see in the balance that we have improved. However, like people are saying, tough games are on the horizon, it will show what we are really made of. So far so good, whether nice or ugly, Tuchel has been winning games, that's great. Some disturbing performances at times, Barnsley for example. But I do feel much more comfortable in our setup lately. I just seriously hope he doesn't consider giving Kepa more games, I really protest this decision because it will inevitably come back to haunt us. Just bring Mendy back in and leave it at that.

Marcos Alonso
I think Lampard was justified in doing what he did considering Alonso's behaviour after that game. Alonso just can't perform in a back 4. As soon as we revert back too it we'll have the same problems with him again there.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Stats are very misleading though, he should've easily had 2 assists today and he didn't, is that his fault? Same with last season, if you watch his highlights last season he didn't get a lot of assists but you'll see about 10 chances he created with throughballs to Abraham and Mount and they weren't finished. He does actually create chances, obviously not as much as the likes of KDB, but he does create. Just unfortunately for him, people aren't finishing his chances. Reece James should easily be on the same number of stats as TAA, but again, people don't finish the chances he creates, that's not his fault.

Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
Tbf I'm talking about midfield partnership. Not anyone else. I think CHO and Mount link up really well and can cause lots of problems down that side.

I thought bringing Kante and James on was a bad decision, as we were inviting pressure. But maybe I'm wrong there, a 2-0 lead is good enough to defend for 20 minutes, and we need points rather than smashing a team 4-0 or 5-0.
-
Timo Werner
He's definitely doing a lot better, still though, and it goes without saying, he has to be better in front of goal, had two good chances in the game there and squandered them.
-
Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
I agree, Jorginho isn't our biggest problem at all. I think we do need to accept though that Jorginho is very vulnerable defensively when we have a back 4. But currently I think we look much better as a team when he's playing. Jorginho-Kovacic is the best partnership we have at the moment, it was the best midfield duo under Lampard last season. I don't think it's ideal, especially in a back 4, but right now it's the best we've got and I think we should stick with it.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Cor blimey! About bloody time Loz. And couldn't agree more, the shooting thing is never going to improve sadly. He can't shoot to save his life, I don't think any of our midfielders can actually. None of them are capable of scoring from long range.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Quality game, he's been great under Tuchel, it's a crime how he doesn't have more assists to his name, played Abraham and Werner in soundly, but as always our forwards can't take advantage.
-
Jorginho is.... (well now was) a Blue
I thought he played well, a bit vulnerable again after HT when Newcastle kept pressing him but we later regained control.
-
We've got a new Kepa
Made a good save in the game against Willocks header. But we look much more vulnerable on corners with him, that slap away in the later minutes of the game for example, had all the time in the world to catch that.

He had many games like that last season tbf, we've just not seen it much this season. I think that's due to the formation he was playing in.

Good game from Werner, thought Kova deserved MOTM though.
