  1. Imagine if were even half as clinical as Spurs, we would be top of the league by about 3-6 points easily.
  2. @yorkleyblueDid you get all this?
  3. I think it's just for clubs who want to stay up no matter what. Look at Bruce, Leeds look a million times better than Newcastle under Bielsa, but who's higher in the league? Who's currently winning? Bruce. For all the hype around Leeds, they're not that far from the bottom.
  4. Pepe does the most unnecessary stepovers ever, what a tit.
  5. James, Kante, Silva, Mendy, Mount are all up there with me so far, Kante is just ahead of James in the pecking order.
  6. Watch Arsenal pull off a win and just start to gather some form, just while we start to plummet, happens all the f**king time when we are about to play these c**ts.
  7. Fair point, someone did actually raise a point in the Match day thread how with Giroud we lacked that striker to run into channels and open up space in the middle. And that was actually a good point. But at the end of the day, Giroud scores and to his credit he does play well, he's just severely lacking pace.
  8. Me and numerous other people who butcher the English language use "literally" as a synonym for "very" when that's not it at all. I have no idea why I still use it so frequently, you're the first one to pull me up on it on this forum though which has surprised me. Everyone has probably just got used to my terrible grammar.
  9. There's no single answer really. There are multiple things, we played two good teams (but definitely should've beaten Everton with their poor form and injuries). But the main one for me is injuries definitely. Ziyech pulling up the other week was the worst thing that could've happened to us. On top of that Pulisic and Callum, it leaves us desperate and having to rely on players who aren't capable or ready. I hate to say it, but this is going to be a sh*t month for us. I don't fancy that West Ham game whatsoever, I said that a few weeks ago, they've got our number, and right now even more so. And I'll be devestated if we don't beat Arsenal with the form they've been in.
  10. I really need to cut it out, I don't realise how much I use it, literally.
  11. He's made a few sly comments like that, almost as if he's loving the fact that Lampard is losing games now. Strangely, I've never seen this guy post before until after that defeat against Everton, now he's back again. Same with many others, same old story, as soon as we lose these people come out of the woodwork. I'm not saying you have to be a regular here, but make it a bit less obvious please...
  12. Can't wait to see you vanish off the forum when we win again.
  13. Yep, definitely losing this one, they couldn't play us at a better time and they have our number.
  14. I will admit, Werner has absolutely pissed me off the most out of all our signings this season. But I also can't purely blame him because we aren't playing to his strengths. It's very unfortunate for him that he's came here during an injury crises when we have 3 wingers who can't play 2 back to back games without pulling up with an injury. So he's being forced out to the wing. Yes, I'm aware at RB he was on the wing, but he was always making runs and running behind the defence. Here he isn't, the build up play doesn't suit him when he's on the wing, he's just completely limited. It doesn't help that the guy can't finish his chances either, otherwise we would be letting him off with performances like this. It's just a sh*t situation, we all want to blame someone but we can't. It's fate I'm afraid, pure and simple, we are unlucky with injuries.
  15. It's not just that, it is because it's the same group of people who strictly didn't like Kovacic in his first season, including you (which is fine, Kovacic wasn't impressive in his first season, he was pretty average for a lot of it). But his 2nd season he was much better, I just don't get why the same people who disliked him then, still dislike him now. It's fair enough if you don't highly rate him, but you have to respect him surely. He works hard, doesn't mind when he's benched, always offers something different to the game. Him and Kante did a brilliant job against Spurs, and he helped Kante out a lot with N'dombele when he was wrecking our team in the first 20 minutes. I'll say it again, I find it very weird. Jorginho I do understand, he has never found his footing here. A good few months of performances but he's usually let himself down. With Kovacic it's entirely different, why all the dislike? I can only boil it down to the ffact that he isn't over 6 foot or has blistering pace. I get the impression that the same people who still dislike him would genuinely prefer to have Eric Dier in the side just because he's a big bulky f**ker and likes to stick in a tackle, never mind the fact that he can't play football and is one of the most frustrating Spurs players for their fans. A Software Engineer is a very lazy job, luckily (or unluckily for me) I have to go to my office still, even during COVID. So, I've never really got the benefits, people who stay at home though, do usually become quite lazy and easily distracted.
  16. Gol we have plenty of build up and we were doing fine until Ziyech and Pulisic pulled out. That's hurt us big time, don't get me wrong, we shouldn't have lost this game but it is what it is. I don't think the answer is to simply change Kante's position again, where he's currently at he's doing great. It's the best Kante i've seen in a long time, I say that as a big critic of him last season.
  17. 1. Software Engineer, 2. Yes, 3. No. But seriously, I'm just asking him a question becaues I think it's weird. You call me Kante's biggest critic, yet I've done nothing but sing his praises for months now. Why couldn't people do the same with Kovacic? He had a good season, he's still playing well and is a great squad player to have. Okay he wasn't any improvement today, but he's usually reliable and offers something different. But it's the same people who constantly slagged him off in his first season that just won't let it go, I just find it really weird, that's why I'm asking the question. If a player proves me wrong for the right reasons, I'm usually pretty happy and very much so admit I'm wrong.
  18. At this rate you must about 200 coats
  19. Probably because it hit too close to home I imagine. It's always "physical" this, "physical" that, it's not the 80's anymore. You can be a good footballer while being under 6'0 or not having a great amount of pace. At least with Jorginho I can understand, his style of play can't be adjusted or adapted to, Kovacic however, will adapt to a system and work extremely hard. With you I think it's more due to the fact Barkley didn't end up being this world class player you were telling everyone he was 2 years ago because he's built like a brick sh*thouse, so you've took that out on other players.
  20. Why do you have this weird agenda against Kovacic? Even if you don't highly rate him, he's still a good player. It's just odd... It usually comes from the types of people who rate Eric Dier as a footballer and think football is like it was in the 80's, be 6'0 and physical phwaorrr, stick a tackle in lad gawan!! And it's not as if Kovacic is sh*t off the ball either, he gets stuck in and works hard. I just don't understand the criticism you and numerous others have with him.
  21. I'm not saying it's Roman, I'm saying it's Frank. I think Frank wants him to get on with it and play him until he eventually turns good. That for me is what I got from Conte with Bakayoko.
  22. You can keep laughing about Sarri ball, (and don't get me wrong I prefer Lamps by far) but Sarri still won a trophy and thumped Arsenal 4-1 in the final. So it wasn't all that bad.
  23. I just don't get it... Last season you loved Kante despite it being Kante's worst ever season in terms of performances. This season you can't stand him even though he's having Conte's Kante vibes, he's in a pure defensive role and he's doing an excellent job. He's got his mojo back, he's even passing much better. It's like you just do this for the sake of being controversial.
  24. I'm not saying he's anywhere near as bad as Bakayoko (touch wood). I'm saying it's a similar situation, Havertz is clearly not showing abillity and has to be dropped, but Lampard has to play him due to the price tag. This was Conte/Bakayoko, Bakayoko was absolutely dreadful, playing like a sunday league player, but Conte was starting him in every game regardless due to the price tag and having such high hopes for him.
