  1. I can't help but feel that Pulisic's beard had something to do with this.
  2. Yeah but 2 years ago it was a common thing on here to get Kovacic and Hazard mixed up, because from far away they looked similar and they both glided with the ball very similar.
  3. Anyone else mistake Kovacic for Pulisic just then? Or is my stream just that sh*t? Got those Hazard and Kovacic mixing up vibes.
  4. Ffs, Pulisic 2nd time he's ignored Callum wide open.
  5. Should've played Callum in there Puli.
  6. Then you realise he's got Christensen and Rudiger in front of him.
  7. What a clumsy player Rudiger is... That was all started by him making a stupid foul he didn't have to make.
  8. They're not getting very close to our players, Pulisic had surprisingly a lot of space in the box earlier and I don't think he realised the space he had otherwise he probably would've scored.
  9. Get in!! Excellent build up from Kova to Kai to Giroud.
  10. Good line-up, sh*t back 4, but Lampard has to rotate.
  11. I don't think it was nailed on that we were going to dominate the 2nd half. First half I actually thought Spurs were the most dangerous even though we had most of the ball and it was an even game. But he definitely should've brought Giroud on around the 60th minute or so. But that is classical hindsight I suppose... However, Tammy has never been that good in the air for me. He doesn't anticipate or get in goal scoring positions like Giroud does, he's an absolute natural at it. After Abraham scuffed up 3 chances, and lets face it he did, his lack of balance and anticipation completely bottled each of them it just looked like a terrible decision to keep him on for so long. I don't even think the lad made one successful pass in that 2nd half, he was doing everything wrong.
  12. I think when he retires he'll look back and say he had his best years here. Which is unfortunate for him, because he went to Madrid at the worst possible time. Although, who knows, next season Madrid could become a force.
  13. I think if you give Giroud and Abraham the same number of game time, Giroud has the better goal tally out of the two. He is a better striker (although he definitely lacks pace but heavily compensates for that in other areas). The thing is with Tammy, is that he is a good striker, still young and has potential. And to be fair, Tammy does have a good goal tally, we're lucky to have him. It's a just shame he has games like this where he looks like a little boy.
  14. It really was shameless. At least we as a club let the F.A. and the court make the verdict and stayed neutral. What Kenny did with Suarez was completely tribal and just disgusting really. For all they know, Suarez could've said all sorts to Evra, but back him anyway because he's a Liverpool player? f**king shocking. I do dislike the current PC generation today but I really wish that did happen today, because no way would people have sat still with that one. I don't know how Liverpool fans can talk down to us about the Terry situation or the tram when their club did that. And of course, it turns out Suarez called Evra that word several times over and over, clearly knowing what he was doing.
  15. We were playing well with Havertz in the side though, everyone will tell you I'm a big fan of Kovacic but even I'll admit Havertz does a lot better in the system than Kovacic does. Because he offers a better attacking threat. The midfield of Mount-Kante-Havertz with Ziyech dropping deep is a very deadly side. Although Kovacic was very good in Kai's role against Sheffield. Still, I wouldn't blame Lampard for slotting him right back in the side. He's our big signing and Lampard wants him to gel for obvious reasons, I expect to see him starting both games this week.
  16. I could be wrong here but wasn't this also ongoing during the Suarez situation with Evra or was that after? If so that could've been a big factor for why JT got action taken against him by the F.A. The Liverpool mob are relentless.

There's a lot to talk about here, perhaps it should be a new thread, or maybe section?
  18. I do agree. I think he's looked good, he had a stinker of a debut but after that he picked himself up and he's been playing well in the small sample of games he's been in, about 7 or 8 is it? But it's also not enough to say he's one of our best players. Made a stupid mistake in that Southampton game but came and got the goal and he was very good in that game despite that mistake. The reasonable take is that we just haven't seen enough to really confirm whether he's good or bad. He's made some mistakes, but he's also had some moments of class where he looks top drawer. Got to give it time.
  19. I would be open to taking him back, like Spurs have with Bale. Only for very cheap or a free transfer of course. However, I think his Chelsea career is well and truly finished, but never say never? Who would've thought Henry or Bale would've came back to their clubs?
  20. I've noticed Twitter has gone very quiet lately when it comes to Mount.

Most important part of the game for me, I don't think I've reassessed or gone over any of the highlights, I'm still analysing his beard. I'm very surprised @Munkworth hasn't said a word about it yet.
  22. I would agree but he's a young player in a new league. If we signed a 27 year old from Barcelona, for that price and he was giving the ball away in those areas he would definitely receive more criticism. It's a new league and he's only what 21 still? Very young. For me he's shown some promise here, I like what I see, going forward at times he looks extremely dangerous. But I can't really make a fair assessment until he's had more games, right now he just hasn't played enough. But I do agree with you to an extent, the "He's our best player" comment is over the top, he hasn't done enough to prove that.
  23. I think the issue with you Gol15, and let's face it we get on a lot better now than we did last season, but you go straight for hyperbole. This used to wind me up last season, for example, Gilmour had one great game against Liverpool last season and you were bringing up Paul Scholes comparisons. By the way, I do kind of agree with you, a fully fit Kai should be starting and playing over Kovacic in this system. Kovacic should play certain games like the Spurs game and rotation means. But Kai hasn't done enough to prove he's one of our best players. This is where Yorkley is right even though I disagree with most of his comments regarding Kai. Havertz has a lot to prove until he's one of our best players. I at times think I'm jumping the gun saying Pulisic is one of our best or best, but I say that after he's had such a great first season here.

Kante just isn't good enough to rely on when we dominate possession, he doesn't move the ball fast enough and just lacks the creativity. With the way we are playing right now, this role suits him, for our defensive cover he's good. It's the only position he plays in that suits Lampards style.
