Super Frank Lampard
Also keep in mind United are a real dark horse in the big games. They beat us 3/4 times last season and in each and every game we outplayed them. Last time, Lampard did the smart thing and played for point, just like Jose did this time. Only this time, we definitely could've won that game, where as we kept United quiet besides the Rashford chance. A 0-0 at Old Trafford when we've only won 2 games there in 10 years is a good result I don't care what anyone says.

Kai Havertz
He'll likely start against Sevilla also. He was playing twice a week before testing positive.

Mateo Kovačić
We're definitely playing at our best with Kante staying deep and covering the back 4. Although Kante's best performances have came from him in the box to box role, but under Lampard we're a team that has too much of the ball for him to thrive there. When he's restricted to purely defensive duties and keeps it simple he's a beast, I'm glad we've finally found a place for him. I still highly rate Jorginho, but I want whats best for the team. Kovacic will rotate with Havertz, that's good squad depth.

Timo Werner
Aguero is the same height as him, and he's one of the greatest strikers the Premier League has had. He scored a good header (which was ruled offside) in the Renns game, I don't think height is going to be that much of a decisive factor as some people think it is.

Super Frank Lampard
A lot of people say Lampard gets too much protection on here, but I don't think he does. I remember after the Spurs game, a game we only lost on penalties people mind. But people on here were suicidal after that. One of the worst I've seen it on the forum, so many of them wanted him gone on the spot after that game. I said before the season started, if we are still conceding the same amount of goals, we will have to start asking serious questions. But since Mendy, Silva and Chilwell have arrived and playing together we've had the best defence in the league. Mendy has the most clean sheets in the league while every other keeper has had a 4 or 5 game head start on him. You must give Frank massive credit. Rival fans will no doubt pull the "Well if you spend 250 million" bull sh*t. We had a transfer ban and on top of that bringing that many players isn't easy. Did it improve Conte when he brought in about 7 players after winning the league? What happened there again? Signing that many players requires transition. It's back to 2013 again, with those core players we signed we won the league, two leagues. Transition is overused a lot, but it actually means something in this case, we currently have 6 new starters who we signed in this window, that's a massive factor and takes time to adapt. Klopp and Pep didn't just sign that many players and won the league overnight, It took Klopp 6/8 transfer windows, and Pep 4. Lampard has had 2, and one of them he didn't even spend a penny in. I mean, I'm just echoing the growing sentiment here (thankfully), but to the minority of people who think Lampard isn't doing well enough, please for the love of god get some perspective.

Mateo Kovačić
I like Jorginho aswell, but I recognise that Kante in this role is better for the team. Jorginho although very underappreciated by fans, could do better elsewhere I feel, we don't play to his strengths. Right now, we're playing to Kante's strengths and it's working, because when we weren't Kante was the worst out of the bunch.

So is nobody going to talk about Pulisic's beard?

Timo Werner
I want to see Werner back in the middle, I think he'll surprise some people there. For me he's only playing on the left side due to Pulisic being injured, I just don't think Werner plays at his best there. Well... I hope he doesn't, for his sake.

They do have terrible ownership from a fan perspective. Arsenal is basically a hedgefund, minimal investments and tidy profits, the owners don't care about challenging for titles as long as they hit the safety net of profits. But you are right, they act as though they can't spend money. The fact is, they've wasted a f**k load of money, 80 million on that Pepe is criminal, they keep buying sh*t, they're 2nd to that Ed Woodward at United when it comes to signing sh*t players. And their fans don't help with the fact that they hype their players to ridiculous levels, only to be disappointed. The amount of "Pepe is better than Pulisic" bull sh*t I heard from radio shows, social media, forums etc. Only for them to once again look like morons as usual.

Kai Havertz
He obviously hasn't shown signs he's worth the price tag but he's barely played and he's still very young. Give him some time to adjust first. But Lampard definitely rates him, the only reason he isn't playing was due to Covid and getting back into fitness, before that he was always starting games.

Welcome Hakim Ziyech
One bad game doesn't mean he's been really poor, he's looked top drawer until yesterday, just couldn't get going.
-
Mateo Kovačić
Kante is playing well, especially in this role. But I know what Gol means (slightly), in the 2nd half he gave the ball away a few times on the edge of the Tottenham box when he trying to get involved in the play. The role he's playing at now he's a beast in, 2nd half especially he didn't give Tottenham any chance to breathe.

Mateo Kovačić
It might sound random, but I can see why you have that like to post ratio with some of the things you come out with. What on earth were you watching? It sounds like you just go by reputation since your only ever response about Kante starting is "hes world class" regurgitated over and over again. The whole team bar Abraham and Ziyech (maybe Werner) played well, no complaints. Kovacic played very well, Kante was really struggling with N'dombele at one point in the first 20 minutes until Kovacic moved deeper and helped him out. His retention in the 2nd half was superb that Spurs couldn't get the ball. Did he release that killer ball? Well no, but who did? Ziyech had a poor game and couldn't unlock the Spurs defence, Mount who also had a great game wasn't exactly breaking the Tottenham defence either. I honestly don't know what you watch.

Because it was so late in the game. It was half a chance if that, nowhere near as easy as people are making out.

Wtf, I think that was a penalty, weird how he didn't protest that.

He did play there against Southampton and scored two cracking goals. City had Aguero and did fine who's about the same height. I think we can play with Werner in the middle but some games we will need someone like Giroud there, like today for instance. But definitely, I would go with Werner there against Leeds 100%.

They were setup to hit us on the counter, Jose will obviously be happy with a 0-0 before the game, that's typical Jose. But I think Spurs fans will be very disappointed with how bad they were going forward. We kept them out of the game, especially in that 2nd half, they only had that opportunity from Zouma and that was it, completely outplayed them. City also outplayed them and created many chances, but they couldn't defend against them or keep them quiet. We managed to do both, it's just unfortunate we didn't get the 3 points. But I'm taking away the positives from this performance, defensively we are much better than I expected.

Reece James
He's young, so he's going to make mistakes. It's his passing and composure I like the most. He isn't the quickest but he's so tidy on the ball and under pressure. Also, people forget some of his defensive performances last season, like against Palace, completely kept Zaha quiet for the full game when they put Zaha on James to try and give him problems. He's really coming into his own this season, he made 45/45 passes in that second half, didn't give the ball away once.

Chelsea v Spuds (PL) Sun 29th Nov 2020 16:30 GMT
The flight of the ball was also difficult to score from, it would've took some technique to put that over Lloris with how slow it was coming down and how close Giroud was to the ball at the time.

Christian Pulisic - Official
He beat a few players when he came on, that's something we've missed, we don't really get it a lot at the byline from Werner, or from Havertz. Glad he's back and please for the love of god, stop getting injured.

Tammy Abraham
He's a good player but he had a mare there. I didn't think he was that bad in the first half as numerous others were saying, were signs that he was still in the game and dangerous, especially when he slipped past Dier like he wasn't even there. But 2nd half that all changed, he was atrocious, you can't miss chances like that in a game like this. I think this performance has just given Giroud some hope at Chelsea, he should be playing over Abarham after a game like that.

It sounds horrible to say and hypocritical of me. But he reminds me of a tall Danny Welbeck at times, just falls over constantly, can never keep his balance. And for a 6'4 player, his ariel ability is shocking.

Unbelievable isn't it. We kept two of the most dangerous players in the league silent and apparently that's showing too much respect. We can't lump all of our players forward and expect to win the game after City just did that a week ago and got demolished by Spurs for it. Spurs had a few counters in the first half, after that, nothing, they couldn't get going. Our team defended really well.
