I'd be happy to see no new faces this season unless it's going to be a top top player such as Alexis. If it's not going to improve the starting 11 considerably I think we have an 11 to be competitive in all competitions and at this point baker, boga, Christiansen are either good enough to be pushing the first team. Christiansen probably good enough to start actually. Both Luiz and Cahill are in there last couple of years at the top of their games. We don't want to keep seeing , lukaku situations (though I feel it was the right call to sell him, I think in total we made almost 50 mill on him)

Even, If we don't sign another player in this window I think we have to give the bored credit. Last season I think the games we lost after going to 3 at the back we seemed to get almost manhandled in center mid. Bakayoko should be helping us to compete in that area (palace doesn't count, it was a freak game). Also we realy should have converted many more of our counter attacks last season. Love Diego as i do I don't think he the smoothest of players and we would often breakdown when the ball came to him. Hoping that Morata provides us with that better transition and really bring our other attacking players in to it. I guess this depends on a couple of things 1) will matic been sold, it looks inevitable right now I'd say but if he stays I'm not worried about the midfield 2) what's the situation with some out our returning loan players. it's make or break for Christiansen for example, he could not have done more and if he was actually a BMG we probably would have been linked with him for 30 mill plus Baker also not far behind, can we intergate him in to the squad in a way that does not hinder his development. He's not a box to box so wouldn't be able to play in a 2 with Kante or Baka for me, so not sure how he fits in. At wingback I think we our covered, Kennedy should be given more time this season .

Don't think it's possible to make a call on how morata or lukaku will do next season. This will be lukakus first time playing up agasint packed defenses. It's easy to talk a bit game about running through brick walls, but when you have never done it... is it effectively in your makeup. wanted Morata last season, think he's got so much about him, quicker then people think and probably better in the air then lukaku but equally it's a new league and there is never any garantees

Could not agree more. Only ever realized how frustrating a player JFH was after i saw him live. It is impossible to see even half the work players are doing or not doing on TV for me. You see the action zone, you see what the professionals want you to see. BUt you can't see anything of the ball. Most people think abotu strikers but what about the defenders holding the line, tracking players unrelated to the play at that time.

Aguero aside the other two names prove my point even more. Henry was considered a flop in Italy, anyone who had seen him play at monoco would have known he should have been a striker... but he came as a non proven element. You could say the same about Suarez, decent but not one knew how good he could be.

Why do we need a proven striker, why can't one prove them selves with us. Do you know who was a proven striker, Torres , Kerman , Eto, shevchenko... each will have an excuse and reason it didn't work out but the same reason is a risk you take with any proven entity. Soldardo was proven and look what happened over there. And by the way we chose the proven option with Torres instead of giving Sturbridge a chance...

I have always rated Aguero one of the best strikers in the world, but his injury record is not the best and he has just turned 29. He's a much better player then Torres but one of his major strengths is his explosive acceleration, how much longer is that going to be there for him? I guess it's all price relevant, anything around the 40 mark (sounds crazy to say that) and I think it's probably decent value and worth the risk.

Think he has all the tools needed to be a massive success hear, quick strong, pretty good in the air, and not afraid to have a pop at goal from outside the box when the space opens up just needs a run of games. Also doesn't seem to want to blame everyone else or through a massive sulk all game long

On the face of it this is as bad a move as the club have made since letting ballack go. We are replacing an exceptional defensive mid with some one we hope will provide us with an upgrade, a player who has a suspect knee and no expirence of our league, on top of this we have CL football this year and have sold clouaba and let RLC go out on loan.
