I disagree. If matters do take a turn for the worst, and they can, you lack the ultimate control which is to rid your body of the substance. It can be a very long 8 hours if you're in a bad place.

There's no doubt that upset me and still does. I don't blame Mourinho for the move though - I blame Duffer for lacking the courage and the ambition to stay and fight for his place. I don't think Mourinho was necessarily good for Duffer though. However I've been twatting on about Mourinho's attention seeking since before he even joined the club.

I don't see that in him Loud and Proud. These are only words. He's a clever man and he knows what he's at. He's been brilliant for Chelsea, there's no doubt about that and he'll be brilliant for Real Madrid when he goes there. And in his first press conference in Madrid he'll repeat how much he loves Chelsea, and how sad he was to leave, and he'll never refer to Chelsea in those terms again. It's fair enough. It's a job for him and he's loyal to his employers until the next set of employers and fans come along.

My memory is of him throwing his medals into the crowd. Anyway if he'd wanted to phone his family why not go somewhere that there are no cameras, the changing room for example. Tim, I just don't like this aspect of him and never did. I can never see any good in this aspect of his personality. When he's in the dugout phoning his family it seems to me he's saying "look at me everybody - phoning my family" I disliked him from the first time I saw him up and down the touchline in Old Trafford. Then his "look at me everybody" staged non-celebration of Porto's Champions League win. Everything he has done since his arrival at Chelsea has cemented my dislike of this side of him.

I'm afraid it does to me too. There's a touch of the "look at me everybody" about Mourinho. He loves Chelsea about as much as he loved Porto and will love his next club. It's not a criticisim of him but there is no reason at all for him to feel any emotional attachment to the club - and I doubt he does. Even when we won the Carling Cup he was overjoyed, jumping around the place, holding 5 fingers in the air. 5 fingers I was thinking. Why is that? Have Chelsea won 5 Carling Cups? Is it 5 months since we last won something? No. He was thinking only of himself. When he started with his David O'Leary chest thumping routine I was wishing we could watch the players celebrate for a change.
