  1. I see Jose was at the match. Knowing him he probably took some notes as he watched. These notes will then form the basis of his analysis of Valencia which he will present to his players in advance of the tie. Brilliant preparation. I'd say he got home quite late. Kids most probably asleep. Jose probably checked on them, maybe a light peck on the cheek, before retiring himself. Typical of the man.
  2. psssst everyone.....no one reply
  3. Oh well - another finely formed conspiracy theory bites the dust. Damn this random chance! NO

Ooooh I fancy a head sandwich.
  6. Wrong. I equate the officials getting most decisions correct as meaning it was a good performance from them. There may have been a few mistakes but in general he was decisive and fair in my opinion. Had I been at the match of course I would have howled with derision at every single decision he made which was not in our favour. Isn't that the job of the supporter?

Devo for sure - Mongoloid and all that. "We are Devo" maybe
  10. Why? It's entertainment for the masses. "Caused me and my family considerable distress" These people take themselves far too seriously. They are never anywhere near ordinary people anyway, unless you count their servants.
  11. Incidentally have the UEFA/G14 axis of evil taken a sabbatical this year? NO
  12. Agreed Bit harsh Yup Mildly disagree Completely agree You're right there

You're losing the run of yourself. And what was that about bleached hair? As Brian M would say have I missed a memo?

Based on what you've written here it must be The White Album for the 60s. Sgt Pepper was realeased in 1967.
  16. Would also be good to see if Jose's legendary love of Chelsea would survive Roman's departure.

This reminds me of pre-season when nearly everyone assumed Joe would be an automatic starter, which wasn't the case at all. Now, as soon as he's fit, he's a shoo-in again. I don't see how anything has changed, except Mourinho pretending that he would be playing Joe if he was fit. Our game plan is strangulation, which we achieve with our death of football midfield, and not one containing Joe and Robben.

    Praise indeed.

Probably the most irritating phrase we've imported from America despite stiff competition. Nasty words, nasty sentiment.

Yes, just as I was in danger of actually enjoying a Chelsea match on a purely footballing level. We strangled the life out of it in the second half though. The collective sigh of relief from the Porto players when Robben failed to surface for the second half was audible. I'd be disgusted if we sold him.
  21. Have Liverpool ironed out their problems yet? I really hope not. They have really dug a hole for themselves, chipping away at their own confidence like this. They've a fair way to go before I'll ever support them even though they have had a lot of green connections over the years. I wouldn't drive around the corner to watch them. In fact I hope they all fade away. ....etc, etc, etc
  22. I like Brand too and Uncle Bruce is a legend. Carr is pathetic, and Irish tragically. No mention yet for the complete non-entity that is ITV's Steve Penk. But the winner, hands down, is Mr "cornocopia of cock ups" (pronounced with a "g" sound), clipboard wielding, smiles-as-he-talks, bunch of ARSE, Denis Norden. Here's a photo of him posing in front of a photograph of a country scene, sitting on a chair and inexplicably holding his f***ing clipboard.
