BLUENUT Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Really, what is the point? Has been officially renamed Ballsack in the Bluenut household
bjd Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I really am starting to hate that sarcastic smile and laugh he makes when he doest get a free kick after going down after a nothing challenge or after giving away yet another blatant free kick
BLUENUT Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 To me he just gets in the way in the middle of the pitch. We all know what Lamps does, we all know Maka's role and Essien, when not at CB is a driving force. What does Ballack bring to the party? apart from the positional sense of an kid playing in the under 10's league. If someone is having a nightmare game, which happens now and again, I don't mind if they keep plugging away, but you couldn't find Ballacks workrate with an X-ray machine!
german-blue Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Its starting to get really annoying. The german media doesn?t say a word about our match against Porto. They talk about his penalty against Bremen, I mean a player that is on such wages should be able to do that. Ballack is not improving, he still plays sh*t. I think there is no difference between his performances as he arrived and now. Im sorry but If he doesn?t improve we should try to get rid of him in summer and sign somebody that is hungry enough for our team! I really don?t see any passion in his face, and that makes me sick.
bonetti Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 MB is about as much use as a chocolate teapot Maybe he could learn to play CD - errrr maybe not. He could help to reduce the debt though - sooner the better
german-blue Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 could make a course in cleaning lampards shoes
BLUENUT Posted February 22, 2007 Author Posted February 22, 2007 German-blue, personal opinions aside, how is he generally rated in Germany?
boulderbollocks Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I have to say I am encouraged by the fact that my general opinion on this bloke seems to be born out by so many others on here, perhaps I know what I'm talking about after all? I watched last night and tried desperately to look at his positives... I became more and more frustrated that I couldn't see any and ended up shouting at the telly again.
Nibs Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Careful people - G4 will start posting huge pictures of the useless one if we're not careful. I've given up criticsing Ballack now because I just don't expect anything from him any more. If we didn't have Lamps, Essien & Maka, then maybe we could use his strengths (whatever they might be), but he so unbalances the team it's painful. Last night, with Lamps way off form we looked so predictable with our midfield line up other than when Robben was on the pitch. Second half, I know we were trying to shut up shop as it were, but with Mikel, Lamps, Maka and Ballack NOTHING was happening. There was almost zero creativity. Porto were there for the taking and if we had Robben and Joe Cole or an in form SWP, I am sure we would have come away with a 3-1 win. I just hope he's not here next season.
german-blue Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 German-blue, personal opinions aside, how is he generally rated in Germany? Pretty high, because he is one of our world cup heroes. I think many people think he is the best german player.
Chippy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I was doing exactly what Boulder was doing, I was saying to the missus to watch him and see if I was missing anything. Its hard for her cos shes normally preoccupied with watching Lamps (who never did a lot either last night) I rated Ballack and Sheva very high before they came and Shev has actually gone up in my estimations if only for trying his nuts off in a very difficult time for him, if only I could say that for Michael I would not get on his case. I think we look better without MB in the team although unless Robben or Joe are fit I am not sure we improve much with the other choices.

g3.7 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 he was poor last night, and his season has been quite average- made up mainly of quiet offerings where he gets little of the ball and good ones where he is unspectacular. the good ones obviously aren't noticed as much for many different reasons. he can do a lot more- that is obvious- but they do say you have to give a new player a season to settle in and I think that's fair. I also think, that although in certain circumstances he can do a good job at the head of the diamond, he would be better in the same line as lamps so he can see more of the ball. but he's definately one of the top players in the world, quite easily in fact- it's not his fault joe or robben doesn't play, just like it was never carvalho's fault gallas played out of position and susequently left. remember that.

If you compare Mikel and Ballack: JOM did never play in a big leauge before he arrived here. He never played at a big club. But he is playing better then Ballack who is experienced enough. JOM improved thorough the season. Ballack is still playing like he arrived in summer. Ballack is 30, Mikel 19
evissy Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 i think he just needs more time and a big game where he feels he needs to put everything in the line. dont get me wrong, every player should put everything on the line in every game, but theyre just human. and i think ballack still has a hangover from the world cup...he put everything on the line there. i think he can still adapt to the english game though german players never were too good in premier league.
Scott Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 Really, what is the point?Has been officially renamed Ballsack in the Bluenut household
mad_mac Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 obviously something that we are all missing, eotherwise I doubt Jose would keep picking him. I think his poitioning, and vision are magnificent, and a lot of his quick thinking play can really open up counter attacks. However, I am with BJD on this noe, I can't stand his smirk and "whaaaaattttt" look when he fouls Scott
BLUENUT Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 he's definately one of the top players in the world, quite easily in fact No evidence of that whatsoever in a Chelsea shirt. As I said before: I think he's still living on reputation, not performances!
c3blu Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 I agree, he should be judged on what he does for Chelsea, not Bayern or Germany. With Sheva starting to look better, lets hope Ballack comes good too.
loz Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 It wasn't that long ago people were saying Sheva was low on confidence, not chasing balls down, not beating players, a shadow of his former self, struggling to fit in etc etc etc Suddenly two weeks later there is great hope for him. Yes Ballack has been disappointing overall but I am not prepared to write him off yet.
BLUENUT Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 facial expressions have no place in football. Afraid I disagree....
BLUENUT Posted February 23, 2007 Author Posted February 23, 2007 and let's not forget this little gem! http://www.dailymotion.com/visited/sear ... na-chelsea 1, for Terry 2, for Drogba, 3, For the crowd 4, For Eto's reaction 5, For sweet revenge!
