sstarrx2 reacted to Gol15 in Christian Pulisic - OfficialIMO Pulisic did a good job at as left winger or left inside-forward. Even under Tuchel when he was fit he was direct and attacking the goal and managed to score goals, even against Real Madrid in the knockouts last season.
But him being injured a lot is really a problem. Other than that, I don't expect him to turn into a world-class full-back in a matter of a month, I didn't like when Tuchel used CHO as a wing-back and I don't like it now when he's using Pulisic like that either.
So maybe it's time to change the formation and see how well we can do, it's not like we're still having clean sheets anyway, we conceded in the recent months more than all previous months together.

sstarrx2 reacted to USATim in Christian Pulisic - OfficialGreat point. And that is what makes this team so frustrating. Absolutely no consistency among the attacking players. We can't get any one of our attackers to put together two straight great games. So much damn talent but I feel our best offensive threat is Reece James. How weird is that?

sstarrx2 got a reaction from LongtimerLurker in Christian Pulisic - OfficialHave to say I agree. Some athletes are prone to muscle tears and he is one of them. It is a shame that they take so long to heal and once torn they are very likely to tear again.

sstarrx2 got a reaction from Deino in Christian Pulisic - OfficialYeah, he could probably benefit from more weight training, but I have seen that actually take away speed from American football players. It could help keep him healthier, but it could also take away some of the qualities that make him so dangerous.

sstarrx2 reacted to dkw in Christian Pulisic - OfficialDont get me wrong, I fully understand why he struggles mentally with it, a bad injury is a nightmare to get over physically firstly but hten you start second guessing every little thing that feels off. I did my ligaments (not ACL thankfully, just LCL) and it felt horrible, took me a 3 - 4 months before I could start back training but it was another 12 before I felt totally comfortable with the feeling in it.

sstarrx2 got a reaction from Oli in Christian Pulisic - OfficialHe needs the proper time to heal! Chelsea staff need to let him do that. When he is healthy he is the best player on Chelsea's roster and it is not even close. If Chelsea mess around and let him leave, it will come back to haunt them! He will find his way back to an EPL side and will one day make Chelsea look foolish.

sstarrx2 reacted to big blue in Christian Pulisic - OfficialHe still has that burst in him, and as we saw last night, once he gets in, there is no catching him.
The more he plays and stays fit, the more comfidence he has in his body. I just think he is looking sharper, less dribbling into danger, and more direct in his movement with and without the ball.
Im pretty confident if he stays fit, he will show his class in the run in.

sstarrx2 got a reaction from just in Christian Pulisic - OfficialWell, he has not been given the proper amount of time for hamstring tear. Whether that be on him for saying he is ready, or on the staff for rushing him back. A regular Joe would take 8 weeks to heal this type of injury enough to where they could resume normal activity. I professional footballer, I would say needs at least 3 months on the pine. Even then he may never come back 100%. I am not a professional athlete, but I tore both my calf muscles playing footie in the back yard. I took at least two months to heal to where I could walk without a limp. To this day I can no longer run. If I take off on a light sprint, I wont get 20 yards before I pull up. That is after having stretched for 20 minutes. Muscle injuries suck!!! Give me a broken bone any day! Bones heal stronger...muscles are never the same after a tear.

sstarrx2 reacted to Valpo in Christian Pulisic - OfficialGlad you saw the game, I couldn't at work.
Read the reports that they pulled him off at half. Probably smart considering it was a friendly. I think they mostly just wanted to get the team together to see what they can do.
I saw the highlights of all the goals. That strike from Dest was world class.

sstarrx2 got a reaction from Bob stark in Christian Pulisic - OfficialChristian has had nagging injuries that have made this season a wash, but I honestly think Chelsea was not a good fit for him to start with, at least not at this stage in his career. Chelsea is the team I support, but as someone from the US, I support Pulisic as well. I think Pulisic should leave Chelsea and go to another team. Chelsea changes managers every two years almost like clock work and being a very wealthy team they stockpile talent. Him having to fight for playing time is not helping his career or the US national team. He needs to be starting somewhere once he has completely healed, if that is even a possibility. The Bayern Munich whispers that have surfaced sound like a really good situation for him if it happens. I will hate not seeing him play as much, as the US TV is almost exclusively EPL, at least for English language channels. Chelsea is winning without him, even if the brand of football TT brought is very boring to watch, Ws is what matters.
