Mason Mount
He made some nice turns to be fair and nearly scored a worldie, I'd still put him above Pulisic/Ziyech even on current form

The squad needs a rebuild, we're worse than last year. Lukaku hasn't strengthened us at all, and a lot of our key players are getting older. I'd sell Lukaku One of Pulisic/Ziyech (probably Ziyech cause he's older) RLC Alonso Werner (earns massive wages and he's regressed hugely since last year) Kepa Saul Christensen leaves on a free, Rudiger as well if we're unlucky Recall Broja (wouldn't mind seeing him at Southampton one more year, they've done a great job developing him but we won't have any other STs if Lukaku goes) Gilmour (though he's had a terrible year Norwich doesn't suit him at all, was never meant for a relegation fight) Maatsen (replaces Alonso) Ampadu (had a good year, would be a decent backup now) Gallagher Sign One CB (two if Rudiger leaves) (De Ligt if he's available otherwise Kounde) One CM (Rice hopefully though he hasn't looked great for England, and price might be an issue) One LF/RF (though CHO/Mount/Gallagher and probably Pulisic isn't terrible) Admittedly looks like something out of Football Manager but we have way too many average/subpar players earning massive wages at the moment

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
I have to admit I really don't want it to be an American owner. Kroenke at Arsenal, the Glazers at Uniterd, FSG at Liverpool, none of them have good records. Most of them would be wanting Chelsea for their own financial gain rather than improving/maintaining the fortunes of the club. Do we know which bidders are using debt to buy the club and how much they are using?

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Was this complaint about their political donations or how they've run the Chicago Cubs? If it's the latter then we need to stay far away

Ownership bids (Please No Politics)
This is why I don't understand why we can't pay Rudiger the 200k+ a week he's asking for, we have worse players earning far more than that

Had a feeling taking Mendy off would be a bad idea, they guy was having the game of his life

Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!
Gotta be at least £70m for us to let him go given what we paid for him

Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!
In fairness Lukaku was looking great at Inter before he decided to gain 20lbs again after coming back here. For his supposed boyhood club he really doesn't seem to be enthusiastic about playing for us.

One prem (or a second CL) and I'd argue he pretty much is With that being said stopping City's dominance in the league looks near impossible right now

Going to overtake Mourinho as our best manager ever at this rate

Sarriball was way less boring than this

100%, no idea where all of this 'generational talent' hype came from, there's plenty of young players that had more talent than him

People we justifying this same squad being 9th when Lampard was in charge, saying they were young and inexperienced

He hasn't been backed, no Hakimi, no Kounde no CM just a BTEC Drogba that doesn't even want to be here

Probably wanted Haaland and got told this is the best they could do

Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!
His weight loss (and subsequent pace increase) was the biggest reason he looked so good at Inter (and at the start of the season here) . No wonder he's playing awful now
-
Armando Broja
I'd prefer we kept loaning him to Southampton tbf, they've done a brilliant job developing him. If he has a few bad games at Chelsea people will be calling for him to be dropped like Tammy

The Marina Granovskaia Thread
Marina is very good at selling players for good money but we clearly need someone else for the buy-side

The Marina Granovskaia Thread
In fairness the fan pressure was aimed at the players as well after the Jose meltdown but I think his interview right after the sacking really didn't help, Jose at the time was a club legend here and it felt like he'd been thrown under the bus. In hindsight though it was a really bad decision getting rid of him, we've wasted so much money since then

Callum Hudson-Odoi
That ACL injury really screwed his career. Sad to see, because he was the most talented 17 year old I've ever seen at this club
-
Timo Werner
He isn't playing as much anoymore so he isn't really match fit compared to last season
-
Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!
We really chose to get this guy over Erling Haaland. Even if Haaland was unrealistic we could've got Vlahovic for half the price if we'd just waited 6 months
-
Callum Hudson-Odoi
Think the Covid made him a bit sluggish these past few weeks, looked a lot better today. Pre-covid he was arguably our best attacker

Our form isn't that much better than Lampard's tailspin either. With that being said we have been devastated by injuries and completely screwed over by postponements, where pretty much every other team has gotten a break and are now fresher than us. Also he did win the CL so I doubt Roman would seriously consider sacking him unless we sank below the Europa League spots
-
Dusan Vlahovic
Given his age and the fact that he's doing it for a much worse team than Lukaku was, his goal record is really impressive tbh
