junkymunky got a reaction from The Don Antonio in Chelsea v Man City (CL Final) 29/05/21 KO 20:00 BSTStolen from twitter I see

junkymunky got a reaction from Blueagle in Michy Batshuayi to ChelseaSell him now for a cheap fee (because nobody in their right mind would pay anything over 15m for him) or lose him next year for free, at this point I just want rid of all the deadwood

junkymunky got a reaction from nonotnowjim in Tammy AbrahamLook at this picture of Tammy... Everyone in joy and celebrating our CL win, and Tammy just sat down tensing his muscles? Weird character, seems like a show off despite his lack of talent
-
junkymunky got a reaction from nonotnowjim in Tammy AbrahamAgree with this, hes a bit of a strange one always needing to flex his muscles for some reason, when he isnt even that big lol. Now if Lukaku were to flex that makes more sense...
But on the whole, just not that good of a striker imo and if the rumors are true and there's offers between 30-40m for him id take it immediately.

junkymunky reacted to nonotnowjim in Tammy AbrahamTammy quote: “To be honest I was an Arsenal fan"...So perhaps not quite growing up being Chelsea.
You are right though, I don't rate him as a footballer, or like some of his behavior. This is reflected in posts on here actually, since when I used to take my son to watch the youths play. Simply put, I have always voiced my opinion that I didn't think he had it in him to make it at the top.
So, a) As a striker, I think he is lacking. He cant head. He rarely wins physical battle. He cant hold the ball up. All fundamentals of a striker. B) As a person, I just cant warm to someone who constantly seems to need to flex his muscles and post selfies of himself. Perhaps if he worked as hard on his game as he does on his image, then he would be a better player who doesnt keep falling over.
Wish him well, and hope proves me wrong by becoming one of the best strikers in the world, particularly if Chelsea have a buy back option. But for now, it is of little impact on the team.

junkymunky got a reaction from Night-T in Lionel Messi to Chelsea?Messi playing for us would have bought us in so much money globally that its actually a joke. Do you know how many eyes will be on PSG now just because he plays there? Its catapulted them into a whole different level.

junkymunky got a reaction from Sexyfootball in Players to sell (evergreen "deadwood" thread)Yep… But there is a silver lining in that most of this deadwood, their contracts end in 2022 so only 1 more year of holding onto this as I doubt anyone is going to buy them.
Players with contracts ending in 2022:
Emerson, Zappacosta, Rahman, Miazga, Clarke-Salter, Bakayoko, Barkley, Drinkwater, Baker, Batshuayi, Musonda
That is a huge list and pretty much is every deadwood player we have. I think we just grit our teeth for another 10 months or so and then wave goodbye end of the season. Just hoping Marina doesn’t do something stupid and offer extensions just for the sake of trying to sell them for more money, because nobody is going to buy them, we’ve been trying to sell these for years and nothing has come of it
-
junkymunky got a reaction from strider6004 in Players to sell (evergreen "deadwood" thread)100% they will cause a few of these players were actually wanted by other clubs but just didnt wanna pay much. Now that they’ll end up free agents they’ll be licking their lips.
I can see Emerson and Bakayoko getting snapped up very quickly as they were always wanted by a few different italian clubs

junkymunky got a reaction from Malcolm9 in Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!By the end of the season he will be 29.
Lewandowski, Ronaldo and Messi have been world class throughout their entire careers, whereas Lukaku hasnt even been 1 tenth of the level they have been so dont compare him to the likes of them.
Age is but a number for technically gifted players, not flat track bullies who rely on pace and power

junkymunky got a reaction from Oiboy78 in Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!Haaland wouldnt cost anywhere near double. Lukaku cost 100m, Haaland would have been about 140m whilst being on similar wage
Also top 5 striker in world football atm doesnt even mean much when in this current era there is a severe lack of top quality forwards. Not to mention that Haaland is also in that top 5 anyway, and better than Lukaku imo, with much greater upside
-
I agree with you that he scored in the big games in Seria A but honestly besides Juve and Milan those other teams are just the best of a terrible bunch.
He spent 8 years in England so of course he would have scored at least a goal against the big 6. The problem was the frequency of the goals in the big games . I refuse to judge him for his goals in the big games for Westbrom and Everton but for Man u he scored 1 goal and 4 assists in 14 games against the so called big 6.
Thankfully we are not buying the Man U version of Lukaku but the improved version from Inter Milan. Hopefully he hits the ground running. Also with us playing Arsenal, Liverpool Man city and Spurs in 4 of our first 6 league games he has a chance to show that he can produce in the big games.
I wish him luck and I pray he can turn me over the same way Andres Christensen did last season.

junkymunky got a reaction from coco in Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!I will HAPPILY be proven wrong, its not like I want him to fail? If he comes in and has shown he's a massively improved player in the prem compared to how he was at United and is scoring goals for fun then i will more than happily say I was wrong about him.
He does have a pretty decent scoring record, but I want him to play well overall as well. If he offers nothing to the team except score a few tap ins here and there thats not enough for me.
Only time will tell anyway, just hoping it goes well despite my pessimistic view on it

-
junkymunky got a reaction from strider6004 in Jules KoundeWouldnt have been my first choice CB that we go for, but he's definitely one with some potential and i will be excited to see how Tuchel coaches him because he has a high ceiling imo, and higher than almost all our current CB's.
Zouma going the other way is also a good way to get rid of some fringe players whilst also spending less money so its a win win all round.

junkymunky got a reaction from Oli in Jack GrealishYeah thats a fair point, but he's pretty unlucky to be playing for a Aston Villa side who in general are not that good, at least not to be competing at the european level. He's at his boyhood club and the club he supports and its not like hes pushing for a transfer.
Just think its a bit harsh to write off player just because he plays for a team that is midtable and wont really compete for trophies or play in europe. Im sure there have been many top players in the past that up until a certain point didnt have any of what you mentioned.
I tend to look at it more on his individual attributes and abilities and i think those are top tier in the premier league
-
junkymunky got a reaction from Oli in Jack GrealishWinning penalties and freekicks are pretty underrated though! Hazard used to be great at it and its saved us plenty of times.
Maybe you're right and CHO and Pulisic will be better direct wingers than him, but I still feel we miss someone with his creativity
-
junkymunky got a reaction from Oli in Jack GrealishI think its a fair comment... A lot of the season Werner has started on the left, and you're telling me Grealish isnt an upgrade?
-
junkymunky got a reaction from Oli in Jack GrealishThe not won a trophy argument is so bad, there are plenty of world class players who play for terrible clubs that just wont be in contention to win trophies. Look at Kane for example..
He cant help being surrounded by dross, but if you cant see hes a good player then there's no point continuing this conversation
