  1. Drogba has to play, and I sincerely hope it's the Drogba v Valencia at the Bridge that turns up. Not sure why Kalou started v Brum and Stoke, I can only assume it was to ensure Sturridge's fitness for Napoli, Cahill and JT should continue together at the back, even though it's a little harsh on David Luiz, Luiz/Cahill was starting to take shape as a cracking partnership. I'll be happy with us going with Robbie's 4-2-3-1, but I'm unsure on the actual midfield. We could go with Essien and Mikel holding, then Ramires wide right, Mata through the middle, Sturridge wide left, but I'm not sure how happy Sturridge will be on the left as he loves cutting inside from the right onto his left foot, we'll see. We could play Essien and Ramires holding, Mikel on the bench, with Sturridge on the right, Mata in the middle and Kalou on the left, but I don't think I personally want Kalou in my Starting XI for such a huge game. I'd hope we go with the former, I just hope Robbie gets it right and the right Chelsea turns up. Starting to get nervous already.
  2. Cahill for me, but it could've been Ivan, Ramires, Luiz, Mikel or Mata.
  3. Cahill for me. Didn't put a foot wrong, saved us on more than one occasion.
  4. Great win. Better second half, but even in the first half we showed flashes of a passionate side, with flowing moves throughout. Meireles' goal was incredible, he'll never hit a better strike. Cahill excellent, Mata very good but shocking penalty, Torres played very well as well, Ramires as brilliant as ever, Ivan had his best game in a while as well. Let's kick on now, this is a very, very solid start.
  5. Cech, Ivan, Cahill, Luiz, Bertrand, Mikel, Ramires, Meireles, Kalou, Mata, Torres. Bench: Hilario, JT, Essien, Lamps, Sturridge, Drogba, Lukaku. ...Interesting.
  6. This game is going to make interesting viewing, although I don't see it being too different to normal simply because RDM has only had a couple of days as manager, this weekend we'll see more clearly what RDM brings to the table. Hoping to see some youth out there, Bertrand to start, Romeu to come back in (where did he go?!), Lukaku maybe? Not sure what to expect!
  7. But when is this "next time" ever going to end. After manager 9? 10? It's a circus. I was under the impression that spending £13million to get a manager here would buy him time, not 2/3 of a season. Unbelievable. I have no idea what is going to happen at this club now, but I can tell you it's not going to be pleasant for a few more months.
  8. http://www.chelseafc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10268~2633044,00.html I cant' say I'm not surprised, but blimey. If we get Benitez, so help me God.
  9. That first link on Wiziwig, the Dova Sports one, has excellent picture but no sound. It'll do!
  10. Bit of a heavy film evening, started with Hard Candy and ended with Eden Lake. Hard Candy was excellent for 90 minutes, but then completely lost me in the last 10 and left me completely disappointed with the ending. It's about a young, 14 year old girl who meets a man online and they meet up and go to his house. Anything else I say is spoilerific so I'll let you find out what happens if you haven't seen as 95% of the film is excellent, Ellen Page is incredible as the young girl. The ending though completely infuriated me. Eden Lake on the other hand was absolutely magnificent. Loved every second of it, a proper gritty, gory, British horror, as good as any horror I've seen in a long, long time. A couple's romantic getaway turns sour and all hell breaks loose. It's incredible, the ending is unreal. Though it made me hate a certain part of the British society even more, mostly due to Jack O'Connell's fantastic turn as the main villain.
  11. I absolutely loved Chronicle, I was completely absorbed by it.
  12. Got Arkham City for Christmas, genuinely one of the best games I have ever played, the transition to a bigger more free roam area was perfect and suited the game down to the ground, I was absolutely blown away by it. Completed the main quest but I still have about 8 of the side quests still to complete, it'll keep me entertained for hours on end without fail. Mind blowing.
  13. I have a lot of time for Neville as a pundit, he's always pretty impartial, and it was nice to hear how supportive he was of is in the Napoli game the other week. Alan Shearer is useless, I don't hate him, it's just every time he analyses a player or a team he seems out of his depth, the twitter account @HowAlanSeesIt is absolutely brilliant. I hate Craig Burley more than anyone I think, every time I've heard him commentate he's just so anti-Chelsea it's laughable.
  14. He is an absolute hero, was at the Bridge on his Norwich debut and knew we'd signed someone special from that game onwards, best player this season by a mile.
  15. Jim Rash has been one of my favourite people ever since I started watching Community, he's an absolute legend in that!
  16. David Luiz for me. Top performance.
  17. Watched The Breakfast Club last night, was expecting a Ferris Bueller style high school film but it was completely different to what I expected and seriously exceeded those expectations, absolutely loved it!
  18. I'm going to stick by AVB. I've questioned his tactics, but you have to admire such a young manager sticking to his guns. We should stick with him, let him have a complete squad overhaul in the summer and see where that takes us, get rid of some dead wood, bring in some quality youth, but we have to get 4th place first. I think we can do it, by the skin of our teeth.
  19. Funny People is really good, it's because it isn't a stupid comedy, it's darker, and Adam Sandler is really good in it. I hate him with a passion though, his only decent film bar Funny People is Happy Gilmore, and even some of that is too stupid to watch.
  20. Watched a couple of films recently, 50/50 and Drive. I'd originally planned to watch all 9 Best Picture nominees, but as yet, I've watched none and I'm a little annoyed with myself, but the two films I did watch were actually incredibly enjoyable. 50/50 is a pretty dark, bleak comedy about a young guy (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) who discovers he has a life-threatening tumour on his spine, and it kind of follows him and his friends as they try to come to terms with his cancer. It was really eye-opening, there were bits where it made you laugh but then you almost felt bad for laughing considering the subject matter, but then it has the ability of making you cry oh so easily. It was seriously moving, and resonated with me purely because my grandmother has beaten cancer twice, it was a very personal feeling, it made you think about what you'd do in the same situation. Very good film. Drive, on the other hand, is just all-round dark. The first half or so is actually just a very good story, a small relationship developing between the excellent Ryan Gosling and his neighbour Casey Mulligan, and then things take a very nasty turn and it becomes an absolute thrill ride. It went a bit ridiculous near the end, it was never not-believable, but it seems to go a bit too over the top. Although that didn't stop my jaw being dropped for the last 30 minutes of the film, it was seriously gripping stuff. Brilliant stuff. Also I watched Back To The Future last night, for the umpteenth time, and it's never not absolutely superb.
  21. Can't help but feel slightly responsible considering just a couple of days ago me and my housemate completely murdered I Will Always Love You in karaoke...
  22. While I desperately want Bertrand to play at LB, one plus vote Bosingwa has is that he did have Lionel Messi in his pocket at the Nou Camp under Hiddink....just saying. If Malouda gets anywhere near the starting line-up for this one I will accept defeat right there. Essien should be starting, a midfield three of Romeu/Essien/Lampard or Meireles/Essien/Lampard would be my ideal choice, and the front three of Sturridge/Torres/Mata. -----------------------Cech --Ivanovic-----Luiz--------Terry-----Bertrand -----------------------Romeu ------------Essien--------------Lampard --Sturridge---------Torres------------Mata
  23. Just watched "Attack The Block", the sci-fi action horror comedy everything from Joe Cornish (of Adam and Joe fame) and I have to say it was amazing. Absolutely loved it, one of my favourite films of 2011 and one of the best films I've seen in a long time.
  24. I considered Romeu, but thought Romeu would more suited to the base of a 3 man midfield than alongside Ramires, but I'm sure he could play there with ease.
  25. ----------Ramires--------Essien --Sturridge-------Mata----------Hazard --------------------Torres ?
