Joško Gvardiol
He's a monster no doubt about it. Obviously he's better than Badiashile but I'd rather have Badiashile for 38m than Gvardiol for 90m. There's not a 50m difference between them.

Reasons for optimism
It was a disaster don't get me wrong, but Chelsea fans would have gone ballistic if no signings were made. Can you imagine a new ownership spending billions on a club a month before the transfer window opens and they don't make any signings? Boehly had no choice but to make signings, and especially because Rudiger and Christensen left. Also, at the time we all thought most of these were solid signings by the way. Who would have said no to KK, Cucurella and Sterling? Right idea, bad execution.

Reasons for optimism
There is a lot to be positive about. The owners have put up a lot of money to invest in the squad, the signings of especially Mudryk and Enzo are massive. Enzo is an amazing player already and would be in any starting XI in the world. They are not afraid to invest, and we actually have a very talented squad that can compete for any title and will get even better next summer with Nkunku coming in and a massive clear out. There have been good changes made in the office, a lot of Chelsea fans won't like this but the era of Buck, Marina and Cech was done. It was time to bring in new people with new ideas and that's what they have did. Not renewing the 3 sponsorship. Enough said. There is a clear plan going forward, and it's very exciting, however there is one big issue. Nothing will work if you don't have a competent manager in charge. Unless we have an elite coach, there's nothing to look forward to in regards to on field success.

Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
Tuchel isn't the answer. We had been playing absolutely dreadful football for the last 10 months he was here. Doesn't anyone remember us getting battered by the most cowardly performance I have seen from a team in that 3-0 thrashing to Leeds? Or how about the 2-1 loss to Southampton? Tuchel was done. Just give Flick what he wants, including managing both Chelsea and Germany until Euros finish.

Crazy that he's still here. Boehly and co don't seem like they will admit to this mistake. Compare the first manager Roman brought in vs Boehly.

Mason Mount
Love Mason but there's one big issue outside of the field. Selling him for 50-60m means 50-60m capital gains in the books. Basically offsetting Potter's sacking. I'm sure Boehly has considered this. Same with Gallagher. Selling both means 100 million profit which is insane and relieves a lot of the FFP issues.

Mykhailo Mudryk signs for Chelsea
No one should criticise any January signings. Look at the manager they're playing under. No confidence, no game plan, no tactics and most importantly no one is put into a position to succeed. Mudryk is not being put in a position to succeed so when he doesn't do much all game how is it his fault?

Graham Potter (Now Sacked ) - *Official* New (Now Old) Chelsea Manager
It's all good and well to have a manager that fits into the holistic approach that the new ownership wants, there's nothing wrong with that, but when that manager is someone that is not elite and doesn't have a ruthless mentality, the whole approach will fail. Chelsea Football Club is too big for Graham Potter, plain and simple. Again, nothing wrong with that, because not everyone is built for this. I could never and will never be a CFO of a fortune 500 company because I'm simply not built for it, and I'm perfectly okay with that. There's been 3 different breaks in this season where there was a bombardment of Chelsea fans saying "We'll be different after the break ends". The Queen's death, World Cup and the 2 weeks before the Fulham game. "Plenty of time for Potter to work with the team, get his playstyle implemented etc", and after all these breaks we just end up looking worse. Potter is not and never will be an elite tactician. Because he hasn't shown it at Chelsea or anywhere else. Having an okayish easy on the eye style of play is fine but what about when your opposing manager makes in game changes and you're forced to go toe to toe with the best tacticians on the planet? Potter chucks on 11 players on the field and says go and does bugger all after that. Remember the game against Spurs second game of the season, Tuchel put James RCB and Loftus-Cheek RWB and completely nullifies Son. Elite tactician (although I did agree with Tuchel sacking). When has Potter ever done anything like that? He inspires 0 confidence in the players because when you have a leader that doesn't know what they're doing and they look out of their depth, then this trickles down to the players. It's time for Boehly to swallow his pride and consider Potter a very expensive lesson in the world of Football and how different it is to MLB. My choices for the next manager are 1. Hansi Flick, 2. Pochettino (Both tried and tested top class managers), and then a little bit behind in Luis Enrique.

Should Graham Potter be sacked? (2nd poll)
I believe so, sacking Potter and his staff will cost around ~80m. Absolutely insane to give that much to such an average manager, he would have came here on 3m a year. 15m a year for Graham freakin Potter. It’s an international war crime.

Hansi Flick. No one else.

So let's just go by recent games. An elite GK wouldn't concede the second goal to Fulham, Dortmund or today. If result stays like this that's 3 recent defeats that could have been draws/wins if we had a better GK, the most underrated position of the pitch so it's a big problem not a little one. And when did I say Kepa is making us play like crap? All I said is he's a weak GK and not Chelsea quality.

I've been saying it for a long time now, we need a new goalkeeper badly. Kepa is not an elite goalkeeper. Just because he's barely okay at reflexes and passing the ball around doesn't mean he's a starting GK at Chelsea. Small, weak and not dominating enough. A better and taller goalkeeper wouldn't concede the goal vs Dortmund and the one today. We went from one of the best GKs in the world in Courtois to Kepa. We can buy all the outfield talent we'd like but with a weak GK (and manager), we won't win much. Someone like Sanchez (6'6) would be perfect, but I don't care to see anything from Brighton right now.
