  1. If we screw Arsenal’s title chances at their gaff in a couple of weeks, it will be completely and utterly superb. It could happen. We must believe it could. Life will not be worth living if those to55ers win the league. Football Royalty, my arse.
  2. …..which is exactly what should happen RMH. If Qataris or Saudis buy Man U, serious questions should be asked.
  3. Whilst we keep our fingers crossed that we can get something out of the first leg tonight, let’s not forget exactly why the club are in the turmoil they are in. Yes Potter was a new manager hopelessly out of his depth, and yes Todd Boehly doesn’t seem to have a clue what he’s doing, but the current problems can all be traced back to one man, the charlatan Boris Johnson who forced Roman out, causing the chaos that followed. Without that Govt directive, we would never have had to suffer what we are going through now, and what has happened over recent times. Transfer bans, no ticket sales etc and a huge black hole period of complete uncertainty surrounded the running of the club following the start of the war in Ukraine. Make no mistake, we’re still reeling from this decision to remove Roman from power. No other Premiership club has been affected in such a manner. There are many reasons why not to vote Tory at the next Election (their ruination of the economy by repeated lockdowns since March 2020 is the prime one), but their despicable treatment of Chelsea FC can be added to the list.
  4. Frank needs to park the bus in Madrid. A ten man defensive unit with Kai left upfield. It’s our only chance….then go for the kill back at The Bridge.
  5. 29 goals in 30 Prem games this season. Worst goal stats since 1924 apparently. Wednesday could be tough ! Just a hunch but I think Frank will aim to park the bus in Madrid. I would deffo take a one goal defeat…..maybe even a two goal reverse would not be a catastrophe.
  6. As Merse said after the game, “4 wins in 21 Premiership games. This must be the worst run ever for a team with so much talent in the squad”.
  7. No apostrophe needed in ‘woes’ as it’s plural, Droyman.
  8. Good luck to Frank tomorrow. Excellent article in The Times today talking about how the idea of bringing in a caretaker manager was first discussed by the board after the car crash of a performance on the pitch at Spurs five weeks ago. Seems like Potter’s time was as good as up then. I remember leaving the ground early that day and walking back down the Tottenham High Rd totally embarrassed over what I had just witnessed. One of the worst CFC performances for many many years. I was surprised to see Potter survive even then.
  9. Would far rather Frank in the job than one of Potter’s failed mob.
  10. I would have put JT in as interim manager assuming he fancied helping out, but for the next permanent manager, if available and if he would come back to SW6, I would love Carlo, a man with proper gravitas who absolutely knows how to man manage superstar footballers. Lovely fella too. Just a top man through and through.
