Nicolas Jackson - striker
Jackson played really well today. One of his better games.

BlueCo buy Chelsea FC
Obviously, we'd rather have an owner who is focused on the actual team and sport and not on returning a profit. Boehly is far from perfect but he's a far better option than Clearlake.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
Back to what we saw all last year. He simply can't be the guy we look to or a guy who starts in the big games.

Fair comment. There is always a chance there is some other story that comes out later. At this point, it simply looks like the Osimhen team was not going to budge off of their basic level and Chelsea were never ever in that range, i.e. they were always FAR apart. If that is true then it was ridiculous to continue to spend time negotiating.

Yeah, and they were SO far off they should have moved on days and probably weeks ago. If a negotiation is that far apart then it isn't worth spending any time on it and you need to move on to something else.

The Osimhen saga is a disgrace. How the club and the player can be so far apart and continue on and on is ridiculous. The communication between them must have been conducted between complete idiots.

Come in Number Lukaku, Your Time is Up
Finally!!

Victor Osimhen
It will nice when this saga ends no matter which way it goes. We need to try somebody else up top and I'll be happy with Toney or Osimhen giving it a go.

Jadon Sancho
That would be a bit like when Bale made huge money while not getting time at Real.

Victor Osimhen
Not just the single ones I'm afraid

Ivan Toney

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
I've been very critical but have to give him a thumbs up for his performance yesterday

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 25th Aug 24 14:00 GMT
Can't believe we scored 6. Didn't think we would win, maybe a draw.

Raheem Sterling signs for Chelsea
Sterling isn't a bad player but I never wanted him on Chelsea and I'll be happy when he is gone.

31 years and counting
Just that first year or so before the team started the pre-Roman rise. Guess I got in just the last minute before the good times. I'd have to say we've been pretty darn good ever since though the last couple years have been wanting of course.

Yeah, though they conveniently left out all thought of a salary cap.

No not that again (I trust you are joking). I heard that forever with the NBA Philly 76er team, my home team. They piled up a gazillion draft picks, etc. and when they finally started to cash in all they got were some quick exits from the playoffs. Never again please.

31 years and counting
Hello - I'm an American (Philly guy) living in Stockholm, Sweden. My first visit to Stamford Bridge was in '93. At that point in time, I used to travel with work from Wash DC to Worthing for work about once every four months or so. To make the flights cheaper my company had me stay over Saturday night in London before flying back. On one of those visits, I asked my colleague who was traveling with me if he wanted to see a soccer (football game). He said sure and when we looked in the papers on Sun morning we discovered that the only club at home that day was Chelsea. We decided to try our luck and took the tube down to the area and started to walk along with everyone else toward the stadium. We quickly found some tickets and bought a scarf (we had no idea what colors the two teams wore but we thought best to wear something showing we supported the home team 🙂 ). A visit to a roaring pub for pre-game was followed by the walk with a few thousand into the stadium, think the capacity was 23k back then if I remember correctly. Along the way, the Wolves fan buses came down the street with a lot of commotion and vulgar arm waving on the street and up in the coaches. This was an FA Cup quarter final game. We sat somewhere on the long side of the pitch like a sardine in the old Stamford Bridge and it was electric. Chelsea won 1-0 on a goal by Gavin Peacock sending Chelsea to Wembley for the semi-finals. My moment of truth came in the loo just after the match when I witnessed an old geez wimpering of joy with tears in his eyes saying to everyone "lads, I've waited over 20 years and we are finally going back to Wembley". That was the moment I became a fan for life. Along the way during the subsequent years I moved to Europe and have seen games at The Bridge on a few different occasions including a derby win vs Spurs with my daughter. I was also lucky enough to get really good midfield seats down near the pitch in Stockholm for the '98 Cup Final vs. Stuttgart. Wise victoriously held the cup right in front of me when the team gathered for the celebration pictures. I spent the glorious summer night in downtown Stockholm with 15k Chelsea fans singing until the sun game up. Glad to have found this place and look forward to chatting about the team.

Enzo Fernandez - Officially a Blue!
We literally need to set the lineup by putting Palmer into position first and working from there. If that means Enzo is on the bench so be it, captain or not.

What are your expectations for this season ?
Very slow start and then a steady rise toward respectability. No silverware, around 7th or 8th, and with a promising last 10 games. So, much like last year I'm afraid. Overall, disappointment for the fan base.
