C3blue reacted to Chelsger in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityEnzo was and is a rat. The fans turned on him when his true colours emerged. The fee we paid did not match his ability, not even close. Ramires was a better servant and performer for us than this fool.
Don’t underestimate how important it is to rid a dressing room of a character like this. We are well shot of him and got our money back so win win for us.

C3blue reacted to 19seventyone in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityEnzo played often in the half space off the left. I’d argue Rogers will play in that space this season and get goals. We’ve had the sum of f**k all from our more traditional left wingers recently.
Enzo didn’t work in the pivot and left Caicedo exposed. That’s a fairly universal opinion. Where would you play him under Alonso?
I believe we are in a better place as a club with him gone regardless of us not getting another midfielder in.

C3blue reacted to SydneyChelsea in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCI think there's two seperate but worthwhile points you and @The Rising Sun are both making:
Perhaps for the first time under BlueCo we have a positive value on our playing squad. Losses on the likes of Fofana, Gusto, Neto, Mudryk, Gittens and maybe Lavia are offset against likely gains on the value of Pedro, Palmer, probably even Rogers and Caicedo in this market. This is great news for Clearlake and their lenders, but not so relevant to the club. In an inflationary market we are unlikely to secure equivalent replacements for the same price and in a deflationary market we won't receive the expected sales.
Asset value doesn't matter in football terms, spending does. We've spent an unimaginable amount of money with little to show for it. That's still a problem and while we are able to cover our mistakes due to favourable selling conditions, that isn't always going to last. We have to get much, much better at recruitment.
There's some dangerous PR coming out of BlueCo suggesting that Winstanley should be praised for the window sales, and that it was the recruitment and the 'model' that guaranteed us the prices we received. That is foolish nonsense. The market was inflated by a number of macroeconomic conditions that are unlikely to be repeated and are certainly not sustainable. We will not be getting 50m for Garnacho or 65m for Jackson or 125m for Enzo Fernandez equivalents in future years. BlueCo need to have some humility and take an accurate perspective, and not squander a second-chance that we might never get again.

C3blue reacted to The Boehly Babes in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityI’ve tried to take the bias out of it but I still cannot see what makes him a 100M+ player twice?
Obviously people ‘in the game’ must rate him highly but as a spectator he just seems to be such a passenger every game.
His passing is OK, he isn’t in any way quick or fast, he isn’t physical or imposing, his shooting is OK, his control is pretty atrocious, his tackling is more dirty than decent, his ‘box crashing’ is what any 8 should be doing anyway.
Aside from the fact he’s an absolute gobsh*te that some muppets mistake for ‘passion’ what does he really bring to the table.
As I’ve said previously, trying to make our strongest XI even with him in the squad, he doesn’t make the first 3 iterations of what would have been our midfield partnerships.
The damage Maresca is going to do to City after Pep’s decade of building is irreparable.

C3blue got a reaction from AndyDowsleftflank in EstêvãoThe season started 1 week ago mate, he’s a 19yr old kid who’s coming back from injury I think it’s a bit premature to be demanding game time, especially how the front 3 have started.
If he wants to play top level European football he’s got to expect competition and rotation at any top club.
I think people look for problems when there aren’t any.

C3blue reacted to The Boehly Babes in Xabi Alonso - New Chelsea ManagerI’m absolutely baffled by the doom and gloom on here this morning, all because we missed out on a player no one had heard of 48 hours ago?
Come on!
Compare right now to where we were last season.
We’ve upgraded our manager.
Weve upgraded our GK.
We’ve upgraded our CB’s.
We’ve, at worst, maintained the same level in the fullback position.
We’re equal to or greater than in the middle of the park, albeit a bit light on bodies but then we’re a bit light on the fixture list as well.
Our AM options are infinitely better than they were.
And we have the 2nd best striker in the league.
Positivity people! f**k me.

C3blue reacted to dkw in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCSome pathetic panty wetting going on here just because we didnt buy one player, after we essentially made every change needed to the squad.
We needed rid of certain players, other than one they all have gone and most for a good profit. We brought in the experienced defenders and keeper we desperately needed, we totally refreshed the attack into possibly the best front line in the league now. We have brought in midfielders, though we perhaps do need one more we now have an opportunity to play youth players in the cups without needing to "give 1st teamers game time".
Some of the over the top posts on here are so laughable at times.

C3blue reacted to Roland The Bruin in BlueCo buy Chelsea FCWe managed to sell a lot of sh*te, brought in some cracking players, solved a potentially poisonous situation with Fernandez and made profit. A few years of f*uck ups wasnt going to be sorted in one window. We have one game a week and im pretty confident we will be fine. Wee Barco, step on up young man. Im still feeling positive for the season ahead.

C3blue reacted to chelseablueboy in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityI think you are letting your vendetta against the ownership blind your judgement Scott, this was 100% down to the poor management at Monaco who thought they could juggle the two deals.
City didn't play anybody, they had no idea Monaco would make such a hash of it. In fact WE played City, they paid well over the odds for Enzo and even had to add a few million to get a player nobody else wanted, including us. It's not as if they poached our best player, he was a very expensive ok midfielder, Rogers will more than make up for him.
We will survive easily until January with what we've got, and with the improvements we have already got I think we will be more competitive and certainly more enjoyable to watch than the last few seasons, and come January we will get who we want.

C3blue got a reaction from Nibs in Arsenal vs Chelsea (PL) Sunday 6th September 16:30 GMTWe will play a low block and try and frustrate Arsenal. They struggle against teams who just sit back.
Most top teams don’t do that, they didn’t exactly cut through Villa the other night who let in 4 against Brighton.
Villa just didn’t have the quality we have to hurt them on the break.
COYB!

C3blue reacted to timetowaste in Lamine CamaraCaicedo and Lavia is a very good midfield pairing if they're both fit, but with Lavia in the conversation it's a very big if.

C3blue got a reaction from Gordon Bennett in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityLooks like Camara is happening, had a feeling something was gonna happen although Balagun failing his medical helped it fall into place apparently.
Now we have a younger hungrier player better suited for the role and system and Enzo out. £75-80m in the bank as well. Happy days.

C3blue got a reaction from Sexyfootball in Enzo Fernandez - Now sold to Man CityCity are still playing Pep like atm. Much like we did when Maresca took over from poch.
It’s when Maresca starts getting his ideas across especially with Enzo playing that the wheels will come off.
In all honesty I have no idea if they will be a success at city( massive doubts but they do have a great squad) I’m just glad they are both gone from my club. Some fans an annoyed at city and yes they tapped up the snake Maresca but ultimately they have done us a massive favour if you ask me and paid us £142m in the process……I’m over the moon.
