Chelsea vs Southend Streams
Yeah, there weren't any streams for either of the League Cup games..

all is not well at the dippers
SURELY NOT?

News on Gerrard to Cheer You Up
Your basis for this being... And try to pick something that didn't happen 30 years ago... I know that's all you Liverpool fans care about, but still... No, this guy can read and write.
-
Defoe
As much as I hate the Dippers and everything Scouse (f**king Beatles...), I think Owen is one of the good'uns. He works hard and is a damn good player without being a cheating little c**t like Stevie GBH or Carjacker...

Zhirkov to Chelsea Confirmed
I just want an excuse to have Belletti in the team ^____^

Scolari - Peter's puppet .......
This, this and this again. I can never thank Abramovich enough for what he's done for us.
-
Wayne Bridge
Well if we remember what happened the last time we had to tighten the purse strings? :P A little fella called Gronkjaer popped up and got us into the Champions League on the last day against the Dippers, which attracted that tank of a man Roman Abramovich. :D

FA, Chelsea vs Southend, 03/01/09, 1500 GMT
I would be happy if Stoch got at least half an hour and impressed enough to feature again at a later date. :D

MOTM Analysis So Far
You know, I was actually thinking of doing something like this myself, but after I had about 20-odd MOTM tabs open in my browser, my resolve weakened. I had a feeling Mikel would come out on top though. Does anyone see him as our man of the season?

The team meeting according to Daily Mail
Apparently we have a point more than we did at this stage last season... And it's not all bad. If Drogba and Anelka pull their act together, we could easily catch up the three points (behind opponents who are renowned for collapsing under pressure). Let's believe, people!

AC Plot Alex Move?
I really really rate Alex very highly and don't want to lose him. However, if we get £15million or so for him... I might just accept that...
-
Zhirkov to Chelsea Confirmed
Yes. I figured with everyone else up attacking, we'd need some defensive steel at right-back instead of Bosingwa bombing forward.
- Defoe
- Wayne Bridge

A thread to follow our nearest league rivals
Six points and further adrift in second, apparently... ¬___¬ And I wouldn't count on three points against Man Ure

Scolari needs to carry the can heading into the New Year
What an utter prat. Petr Cech is playing some of the best football of his career. We'd be third at best if it wasn't for some of his performances this season. (see: Everton)

Who will cause a Cup upset?
Neither can I actually.

PL, Man U. vs Chelsea, 11/01/09, 1600 GMT
I'd stick Belletti in for Bosingwa. Or play Bos at RW if we're going to use him. With Belletti's experience and general awesomeness, he should be able to stop an off-form CRonaldo. And we all know how good Cashley is against him

Correct score poll/bet versus Southend
An optimistic 2-0

Is Di Santo still injured?

News on Gerrard to Cheer You Up
Scum on and off the field. Him and Carragher are the same... that entire club is pure scum.

Half Time Report - Who Has Impressed/Disappointed Most
Well neither would you if you were wearing all pink.

Half Time Report - Who Has Impressed/Disappointed Most
Impressed: Cech - Possibly his best season since that first season under Mourinho. He's been consistently excellent, and has been so quietly, having been stripped of his popular crown of 'Best Keeper in the World' due to a single error at the Euro 2008. He still has my vote... Ashley Cole - The best left back in the world, imo. Works hard, defends well, and attacks just as skillfully as some of our useless wingers should... Anelka - For sheer improvement. Disappointed: Ballack - Hasn't showed the hunger or the flair of last season and goes down too easily under challenges. I think he might finally have lost it. Kalou - A single good game aside (against Man Ure) he's been even worse than his own poor standards this year, and I'm getting tired of him... Offers absolutely nothing when he's on the pitch. A massive disappointment considering his great promise. Scolari - I think given the choice I would keep him at the moment. But some of his tactical decisions are just so damned stupid they make me pull my hair out. He doesn't drop players who have clearly been off form, and sticks to a broken formation, when we have a budding striking partnership between two of the best strikers in the world (Anelka and Drogba are excellent together... I don't care what he says) which he refuses to acknowledge, and instead plays losers like Deco, Ballack and Malouda week in, week out. If he had some brains and some balls, I'd be much happier...

PL, Fulham vs Chelsea, 28/12/08, 1400 GMT
I don't know how he quite managed it... Andy Johnson's about 3'4...
