Scolari - Peter's puppet .......

Star

Recommended Posts

It's official ....

Peter this Peter that ..... Kenyon here Kenyon there Kenyon every 'kin where ....

I tell Peter - I am happy with my squad ? Oh really Phil , what happens when Ashley Cole gets injured ??

We will sign zero players in January - Every player has a price, but it must be big money ... big money ?

Ok Phil so now we are Man City's feeder club ....

They bid 30 million for Cech, 50 million for Lampard, 30 million for Drogba not forgetting a name your price bid for Essien and Terry.

What the hell are we left with ?

It must go down as the most insane statement of Roman's reign , from Who wants to be a millionaire - bollox we are ! to the Sale of the 'kin'Century !!

We are fast becoming the jokes of football, not saying 12 million for Bridgey was bad business but where was the thought of getting one in before one out ?

You've got it we are SKINT !!!!

Hoorah !

F off back to Russia Roman - take Peter with you and let him sink Spartak Moscow !

I've had it with this regime, never wanted Roman here from the outset, the party is over thank god !!

What's the odds on Ken Bates buying us for a quid again ?

Happy days !

Prawns, Muppets cheerio !

I want championship type football again !!

A tear up with Millwall and Leeds awaits !!!

We sell one player to City for a bloody good deal - everything else you mentioned is media bollocks, the sort of thing we should have learned to ignore more than anyone. This does not make us City's feeder team.

If we don't buy a replacement for Bridge I would imagine Scolari has Ferreira lined up as his reserve left back. he has played him at left back for Portugal on many occasions so why would he not trust him to do likewise at club level?

I think we are less of a joke now that we are being more prudent then we were when we were blowing money faster than Adrian Mutu in Colombia.

LOL! Be careful what you wish for Star. :iorishLiam:

You are right though. Perhaps not in this transfer window but certainly in the summer the challenge has been laid down now for any club to try their hand with a bid for our players.

It is too early to judge after the sale of our reserve left back. If Alex goes too and nobody else is brought in though we might have to start wondering about Star's theory.

We obviously disagree on this, Star, but I enjoy being one of the best teams out there. I also enjoy winning trophies.

I would also take 30mln for Drogba in a heartbeat.

Don't get me wrong I like winning trophies too but not at the cost of our football club, for the record i'd take 30 million for Drogba too, but Robbie Di Matteo's goal at Wembley after 43 secs ending 26 years of dreaming meant more to me than any goal or any victory in Roman's reign.

Not really. If Alex goes we have already recalled Mancienne - I am more than happy with three established centre halves and one youth player with a lot of potential. Maybe we are going to finally be run properly. Man Utd lose defenders and they play Evans quite happily, why shouldn't we do likewise.

I'm not saying we should bring in another defender if Alex goes. I agree Mancienne is more than sufficient cover. What I mean is that if we raise 20 million plus from sales and don't use the money to bring in players in our weaker areas, that would suggest we are going to have to change our outlook. United play the likes of Johnny Evans at the back but they also continue to strengthen in other areas. I'm not against us adopting a new policy of youth rather than spending money on players. However the expectations have to change in that sceanrio.

Ferreira is a right back, and he hasn't been any good in that, his own position, for at least two years - if Scolari is gonna depend on Ferreira out of position as back-up to Ashley Cole, then something is seriously wrong. I'm gutted that Bridgey has gone, but I know he had to go to further his career and I wish him all the best in that - but we desperately need a back-up for AC now, and Ferreira ain't it.

Loz - I trust you in your far remote isle of Jockland

You do not get SKY TV !

My quotes were taken straight from the mouth of Scolari - interview after Bridge deal announced. LIVE ON SKY !

He looked a total pratt and one the opposite of his first ever controlled press conference where he looked in total control if not perfect english spoken !

To say what he said was a ludicrous, AND SMACKS OF KENYON'S INFLUENCE in destroying our club

This could well happen to any club. Given that City are now the only club who have any money. The credit crunch has clearly hit many and football will be no exception. I do wonder though how Man U can still be x amount of punds in debt but can still splash out 16 million today on future talent, is this forethought or foolishness that will bite them in the future...I think the former. If we are to stay within the upper echelons we have to carry on investing.

wow, theres a surprise. a new year and star slagging kenyon and scolari off. when we were spending loads of money on players everyone wished we would make more sensible bids. now were being sensible everyone wants us to go out and spend money. and what exactly did you expect him to say "the squad is sh*t, i dont trust these players and need more" now that would help team moral. "we need to spend big now" that would really help any negotiations after kenyon has spent the last 2 months saying we wont be spending much. im personally sick of sh*t like this, we dont have a god given right to win every game 6-0 and were having a transitional time at the moment with a new coach bringing in new training methods and a new way of playing. how about we wait a year or so before becoming newcastle/tottenham fans and wanting to change manager every 3 months for f**ks sake.

What cost is that? Correct me if I'm wrong but when RA bought the club Chelsea were on the verge of bankruptcy. Now we sell our backup fullback and suddenly the whole world starts falling apart: Roman this and Kenyon that...

I'm looking at what's happened to Leeds and what's going on at West Ham at the moment and I thank God for Roman and what he's done for CFC.

Star you claim to be an old school fan.. I am not doubting you one bit, but you just sound like a JCL to me.

You are so negative this season.... you expect instant success like under Mourinho ?... We will never have that again.

Now you are suggesting the a world cup winning manager is Kenyons puppet !! ... I think he could tell kenyon where to stick it he is never going to be out of a job. On the other hand, he has to tow the club line to some extent, and not forgetting his English is not great so he can easily be missunderstood.

If we have to off load stars for crazy money, then great. Lets build from our youth team and have some trophless seasons..or scout for some young talent far and wide, wouldn't bother me in the slightest, Wenger and Fergie have done it over the years.

think we are still favorites to pick up two major trophies... it aint that bad and to be honest, I am enjoying it as much as running away with the league.. been there and done it now :D

Mate don't bother reading my posts,

You miss the point every time

I've NEVER said Scolari should be sacked, Kenyon is the problem - he is dictating things, press comments,

To be honest you live in cloud cukkoo land if you don't see it

I will say this for any club on planet earth: the manager should have the authority to sign the players he wants, within financial reason. If Scolari wants a player and its within our financial power to get him, then it should be so, no questions asked.

Either something is wrong in the club's internal structure, or Kenyon has more power than we realize. We once had a "director of football" named Avram Grant, and i think most would agree his presence helped hasten the departure of Jose Mourinho. This kind of continental b.s. and club infighting is intolerable, totally.

In my opinion, if financial predictions come out this year, and Kenyon's target of 2010 for financial stability are wrong, he has failed, and should be dealt with in a fitting manner. Thats not just the influence of Star speaking. The man is a grade A blundering twat and has bungled so many things in his time here that news like the Bridge transfer is even greeted with skepticism. Just a failure of a man in every regard.

Come to think of it, could it be this desperate attempt to curtail spending is something hatched by Kenyon and the board to keep their promises about 2010? I had not thought about it like that, but it would be beyond the realm of possibility.

we aint broke, its the media writing sh*te again!

have you seen any reliable proof that we are broke? because i havent

roman prob lost a few million and the press have jumped

Its a load of sh*t by the media muppets. They say his fortune dropped from 16ish to 2.3ish. His fortune was 16 a few years ago, and has been much higher since. If they can get such a fundimental fact wrong, I question the legitimacy of the whole thing. And its funny how it never made it beyond izvestia or the spanish press to one source.

Andy, I have to admit I am negative this season, like you i'd rather us build our youth set up. I'm at the stage now when I feel that the Chelsea job is impossible and all the groundwork and planning since the appointment of Jose has gone to waste.

Peter Kenyon's input into all of this is churning me over to the point that for the first time since I first saw Chelsea play out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge with Coventry in 1967 I honestly couldn't give a monkeys if we win, draw or lose.

Phil Scolari is his own man, I applauded his appointment, but he should refuse to do press conferences because what is coming out of his mouth is pure Kenyon, when Butch Wilkins was in the seat two weeks ago he virtually said we needed to buy in the January window.

What gets my goat is, until interference came we had the best squad, best coaches around - i'm talking throughout the club.

Jose, Stevie Clarke, Brendon Rogers, Eddie Newton, that other dutch bloke have all gone, the scouts around the world were ousted on the appointment of Arneson behind the back of the whole of the scouting network.

Although results proved otherwise, Avram Grant didn't have the CV for the Chelsea Job, in my defence I slated him even when we were winning last season.

I can go on and on about this, but all I ask is for everyone to look at what Peter Kenyon has done since he arrived. The vision he had, the budgets he had in business terms and whether or not he has delivered, and above all has he been honest and fair to all his employee's and boardmembers and shown integrity along the way?

In response to comments about us going into bancruptcy pre-Roman well in the same case when Bates bought us , I didn't want us being bailed out.

We would have got by, by building that youth and scouting network up. If anything that is all we have got positive left in our current set up. A fantastic training ground and facillities and a few decent youngsters that got us to the Youth Cup Final for the first time since the 70's.

I honestly want Roman to pull the plug, but maybe leave us solvent so we can develop from within.

I've lost interest in winning, i'm laying Chelsea not to do so on betfair and making a few quid.

My opinion is Kenyon has farked up everyone's heads at Chelsea and now it's getting to me - I HATE THE BLOKE WITH PASSION.
