Mancienne's debut for Wolves
Frankly I would rather we won the Youth cup than the League Cup. Start bringing those kids through...

Mancienne's debut for Wolves
I'd rather see him partnering Ivanovic for our LC tie this week.

LC 4th Round, Chelsea vs Burnley, 12/11/08, 19:45 GMT
Unfortunately Wilkins has been having a 'pop' at Arsenal and Mun Utd for playing kids...so I guess it will largely be the first team. A shame really as I for one would like us to give the likes of Sinclair, Di Santo, Woods and Kakuta a run out. You can't just keep loaning players out then letting them go. We should be blooding at least 3 plyers, if not more. For shame.

That Goldstein is one sick puppy...and a very poor broadcaster!

Chelsea Vs Bordeaux Game Thread
Stupidest comment of the night on ITV4 was that Anelka had not scored in the Champions League for "some seven years or so"... What sort of lazy journalism is that? He played a few years at man City and a few at Bolton, so how was he supposed to be scoring in the ECL? You may as well say "that Pele was a good player, but when was the last time you saw him score a goal?". ITV are total retards. Much prefer the SKY coverage.

Player Ratings V Bordeaux
Went flat in the middle, but we looked like we could smash them any time we pleased. Cech - 7 - Controlled his area well. Bosingwa - 9 - Covered well in defence and his running and crosses were superb. Terry - 8 - Everything that came into the box hit his head...good work. Carvalho - 8 - His anticipation is almost psychic. A Cole - 8 - Largely did what Bosingwa did, and looks light years away from the Ash of his first season. Mikel - 8- Good work, passed it around and made important challenges without incurring the inevitable red. More of this please Obi-Wun. Lampard - 9 - Another masterclass. Currently looks as good as ever he did. J Cole - 7- Got through a lot of energy. He cuts into the box a lot and Deco seems to love to pick out these runs...interesting... Deco - 7 - Passed it around well but once again put in a few uneccesary fouls. He needs to watch this or we will miss him when suspended. Malouda - 7 - Possibly his best game in a Chelsea shirt, yet still very wasteful. Took his goal well though. Anelka - 7 - He is a player who feeds off knock downs and through balls, we seem to be playing more and more to this direction so I think if his confidence remains good he will score a hatful this season. Ballack - 6 - Finding his way back from injury. Looked tidy enough. Mrs Jimboola still wants to see him without a top however... Belletti - 7- Another great long ranger from ballyboy. Our 30+ rightback now looks better in midfield than defence. How odd.

Jose Stirring It Up Again...
I hear (just now on the radio) Jose has been flapping his mouth and getting in trouble. He has been saying a few bits and pieces before now but at the weekend he indicated that his team should have won their game 5-1. This upset the opposition manager (Lo Monaco) who threatened to kick Jose in the teeth! Then Jose had a chance to respond to this at his ECL press conference. The interviewer asked him what he thought of Lo Monaco's comments about him. Mourinho puts on this dumb look on his face and says - Who? The only Monaco I know is the football club Bayern Monaco, the city Monaco, the Monaco Grand Prix & the Tibetan Monaco. The interviewer then told him that Lo Monaco was his opposite coach on the weekend and Mourinho then said if this "Nobody" wants to get his name on the newspapers by using my name he has to pay me just like Adidas does when I promote them. He's not changed!

Sit Down Red Nose.
1. Fergie does NOT believe that, he is - as always - looking for an angle. 2. Does ANYONE take him seriously anymore? 3. The FA (as always) will do nothing...

Unlikely to be John Bumstead I guess....

Apparently if the red is not overturned it would be a three match ban. Joey Barton recieved a Six match ban for beating the gazimbas out of a team mate leaving him needing hospital treatment. So what JT did was 'apparently' half as bad. Has the world gone mad?

Steve Clarke Gone With Zola To West Ham
Comp of just over £1m apparently. Good luck Stevie!

Jimmy Has Left The Building!
I remember after one match on MOTD he was asked if he was enjoying his football more than he did at Leeds and replied 'of course' fast as lightning. A good lad who did well for us, although I must admit I did not always appreciate his 'attitude'.

Where Do You 'hatreds' Lie Now?
Obviously this has been done before but i think it is good to gage opinion every once and a while. Personally my hatred, and it IS hatred now lies with Liverpool. I actually think that I now hate them more than I ever hated Leeds, Spuds or Man Utd. I hate the boasting I hate the 'you've got no history' chant! I hate the fact that they are cheating lying scum I hate the city I hate the ground I hate the feral nature of the self proclammed 'best fans in the world' I hate the fact that the media are always willing to paint them in a good light I hate the way the media are with 'Saint Steven Gerrard' I had better stop there. But I think it is safe to say that Liverpool are slime to me right now. :) I just wish there was a Liverpool hating smilie....

Steve Clarke Gone With Zola To West Ham
Lamps speaks - in todays Sun. FRANK LAMPARD reckons Chelsea should not stand in Steve Clarke's way ahead of his proposed move to West Ham. The Blues No2 has handed in his resignation after being tempted to join former team-mate Gianfranco Zola at Upton Park. The Premier League leaders are holding out for compensation — believed to be in the region of £1.2million — for Clarke. But Lampard believes the Scot should be allowed to go after more than 20 years service as a player and coach at Stamford Bridge. He said: "If he goes to West Ham it will be a loss but I don't think you can ever take away a man's right to do what he wants to do. "I think Clarkey has been an unbelievable servant for Chelsea for many years as a player and as a coach. "He has been an important member of the back-room staff for what we've done over the last few years. "But if he feels he wants to go and do something different — I know he has intentions to be a manager in his own right — you can only wish him all the best." Agree totally with what he has said.

Motm Vs Man City
Voting for Percy, but Joe, Lamps and Ashley were magnificent too. Only Malouda and Drogba looked suspect, but then Drogba has had a long lay off and Malouda is just 'baffled' half the time.

Steve Clarke Gone With Zola To West Ham
Why do we do this to ourselves. Just let him go with dignity and hand shakes all around...20 years service deserves better than this....

The New Media Darlings
The media darlings are and always be Liverpool. ...and it sickens me!

Steve Clarke Gone With Zola To West Ham
According to the radio the other day Clarkey had turned down manager roles at Leicester, Hearts and at least one other club (?). He has been loyal. Let the man depart with some dignity for gods sake, this is not the way we should be treating 'our own'.

Abu Dhabi United V Chelsea
First - to answer an earlier question I am pretty sure that Halsey is a Bolton fan. i think he even trains with them on occasion. Second - Malouda had a LOT of the ball but failed to make anything of it SO MANY times. Put it this way a fully fit Duffer or Robben would have done a lot better down the left. Third - Some great passing football again, they really did look superb at times. And I do not think we ever looked like we were not in control apart from the period leading up to the first goal. Great stuff. Lamps was as good as ever...magnificent goal. :)
- Welcome To Liverpool

Theo Walcott
Bang on. If he is a diamond, then it is a rough diamond at best. I think with the correct exposure to the first team then Scott Sinclair will be at a similar level within a year. Just need Malouda to pick up an injury I guess...

Steve Clarke Gone With Zola To West Ham
Around twenty years of service. He deserves more respect than this. I do not want Steve to go,, but if he wants a new challenge then we shoud accept it and wish him all the best. Why alienate a true blue like Steve. Once again I wish we did things with a little more class.
