Netflix
I have it and enjoy it. It's got a lot of good shows and series on it.

AVB sacked
Klinsmann will definitely step up to that hero status if he can somehow get into the knockout round from that group. He is most likely not available for Spurs. I see Bradley is available though...

Android boxes, the future of home entertainment
I don't have an MX box, but I use streaming boxes all over my villa. I have XBMC on two different nettops (and all of my laptops) that I have connected to the family room TV and our master bedroom TV for movies, shows, etc. that I want to stream. I also have an Apple TV (for HBO GO) downstairs and 4 Roku boxes. I have Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon Prime so I can stream shows, movies, etc. for a very minimal cost. The Rokus even have some games like Angry Birds that can be played. Kind of comical. The Roku 2 XS boxes that my kids use were $60 each and the Roku 3s were $100. The Roku 2 XS supports 720p, while the Roku 3 supports 1080p. I believe this is the new way of delivering TV. The question is going to be whether or not the ISPs start to throttle or cut your home Internet bandwidth after reaching a certain point of how much one has downloaded/streamed per month.

"Captain Marvelous, Luis Suarez, does it again!" Excuse me while I go be sick.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
That's the difference. The boot was high when going in for the challenge and when Suarez runs by him, Paulinho redirects his boot to make it appear that he wants to make contact on purpose. Should be a red imho.

Arsenal players clearly frustrated that they had their arses handed to them. Start of the Arsenal demise? We shall see and I for one hope so.

Steve Clarke return?
I feel bad for Clarke. Really, what do they expect? They will soon realise what they had, now that he is gone. He will bounce back and West Brom will fare no better.

They really do live up to their real name, QPHa.

Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2013-14
This is the front story on ESPN FC this morning: "The Pride Of Manchester Having struggled for away form all season, Man City served up a win for the ages at Bayern." Granted it's a Man City blog writer, and it was an important win for them I admit, but how quickly they seem to forget (or diminish) our victory at Bayern. Win for the ages? No, I don't think so. Our CL final win was a "win for the ages". It will be forever written into history, and capped off a storybook ending to a turbulent season, not soon forgotten like this qualifying match. I know they are just making a headline, but it still annoys me. I do love the media. I really, really do.

Our Misfiring Strikers
Such a sour subject and it's hard to keep control since it's extremely clear that our best striker we let go on loan... Again. As a fan, I want to see Torres and Eto'o do well. I do. I cannot bring myself to hate on a player or root against someone wearing our kit. It just isn't going to happen for me. Unfortunately I realise that those two just aren't good enough. Now, I do not feel for one second that lacking a high quality striker is our only problem. It goes much deeper than that. However, it's abundantly clear that the we need better than what they currently provide us on the pitch. Ba is serviceable and is a good third striker for us. He's just not a full time #1 striker. I only hope that the club's relationship with Lukaku hasn't been damaged beyond repair. He is very good now, will get better, and hopefully all while playing for Chelsea. We need him and as DB has said, we play plenty of matches throughout the season. Lukaku and someone else (that would be Lewa for me if I had my choice) would get plenty of opportunities to get time on the pitch. Get Lukaku back, he will certainly help, and focus on the other problems that need to be addressed in the squad.

World Cup 2014
To add to England's peril a bit, I see you have your first match in Manaus. That's one long trip to Sao Paulo for match #2. I think it's about 3000km each way (give or take a few hundred). The one bit of good news is that it's the first match. Might be able to get there a day or two earlier.

Germany's group is brutal. I expect us to go through, but that is going to be a tough group.

Hey! Careful now...

I'm not sure about Gündoğan, but Özil did not. Turkey had been trying to convince him for quite a while, along with some of the players, but he played in Germany's youth system.

Football Manager 2014
Reading this thread is going to make me buy 2014. Not that I'm really complaining.

Chelsea vs Schalke 04 (CL) 06/11/13 KO 19:45 GMT
Thanks for that link bluedave. Didn't get to see the match, but glad for the result and it's good to see the strikers put a few more in the net. Nice setups by Willian and Lamps for the 2nd and 3rd goal. Good hustle by Eto'o for the first goal. Onwards and upwards. One point from Basel should send us to the knockout round. I think the lads will be a little extra motivated to get all three.

Football Manager 2014
I haven't purchased 2014... yet. I'm still content with FM2013. Any big changes? I really haven't bothered to check the two different versions.
