Netflix

Featured Replies

It's better for TV shows then films.

It's got the whole of Breaking Bad on there for starters.

If you haven't got Sky and like to watch TV show fairly frequently I would say it is well worth the money, I use it on an almost daily basis.

Was thinking of cancelling my Netflix as I'd watched everything I wanted to on it, then I found out how to get the US version which has a sh*t-ton of stuff to watch.

Well worth the £6 a month.

For £6 a month, it's worth every penny.

I am running out of shows to watch though so AdamCFC if you're able to share with me how to access the US version I'd greatly appreciate it!

I only really use it on my phone, so to get US I had to change the DNS.

Can't remember exactly how, but I followed a youtube video to do it, there are tonnes on there.

I think to do it on a PC you have to download a program called Hola.

Did have it, don't need now. Just another subscription cost.

If you have a reasonable internet speed and a buy an Android box you can save yourself the six quid per month.

Is there anything I'm missing with the likes of Netflix compared to ordinary free-streaming sites, save perhaps the very latest films and episodes?

I too have just discovered how to do this. I didnt know whether I was happy that I done it or upset that it took me so long to find out!

The quality is infinitely better. no grainy pictures if your internet is half decent and the sound is so much better too. well worth the money

You guys might want to try the MediaHint extension. It's availble for Chrome and Firefox - it's not a VPN, it just tricks your browser to think you based in the US, so you get a better stream speed.

Is that show any good?

I thought it was ok, it kept me watching until the last episode at least.

The first episode seemed to promise loads of gratuitous female nudity but that's misleading so don't be fooled. There is also a scene in every episode where all the characters suddenly start dancing around to some R&B or old school rap song, which quickly got annoying. Apart from that, I found it to be mostly engaging, the conflict between the main character and "Dogget" (the Christian fundamentalist) being one of the highlights for me, the love triangle between her and the w**ker boyfriend and her lesbian ex-lover (who happens to be in the jail with her coincidentally) not so much.
